High-powered lawyer Brandon Washington knew how to win. He had to be ruthless, cutthroat and, for his latest case, irresistible. His biggest client, the family of the late hotel magnate John Garrison, had sent Brandon under an assumed name to the Bahamas to track down their newly discovered half-sister. He would find her, charm her and uncover all her secrets.
But as soon as Brandon met the beautiful heiress, the lines began to blur. Between the truth and the lies. Between her secrets and his. Between his ambition...and a chance to be loved. And as a storm gathered over the Caribbean, Brandon knew the reckoning was coming. And this time, winning could be the last thing he wanted.

I enjoyed Cassie and Brandon's story. Secrets left by John, deceit by Brandon and Parker and a family affair in the end. I was happy with how the story ended. Cassie and Parker were very much alike and I thought they were able to work things out perfectly for the business. This is my first book read by author Mann and she did a good Jo telling Brooke ad Jordan story. Who would have thought that other Jeffries brothers would marry into the Garrison family. Both stories were well developed. The Garrisons saga is worth the time to read.
Cassie and Brandon Jarrett story was and is a unique opportunity of forgiveness and trust being rebuilt. After the loss of loved ones and dealing with infidelity, it was a whirlwind to see if the past would hold Cassie and Brandon back or forge something special.
Both stories in this book were very good. Definitely filled with surprises and some drama. The Jefferies family and the Garrison family are slowly coming together.
This was a great story. John Garrison had two families for over twenty years. Family #1 has no clue, Family #2 knew all about the others - but when John passes everyone finds out at the reading of the will. He leaves Cassie (family #2) sole ownership of the hotel in the Bahamas. Family #1 sends their lawyer (under an assumed name) to the Bahamas to try to coerce Cassie to sell the hotel. Sparks fly and they fall in love.
This is actually 2 books in one. The 2nd book picks up after John Garrison's funeral and the reading of the will. One of the twins, Brooke is in shock that they have a sibling that they were unaware of. She goes to their hotel to have a drink, throws caution to the wind and ends up sleeping with the Garrisons archrival, Jordan Jeffries. Forward 5 months later, and Brooke finds herself pregnant and not sure what to do. Her twin, Brittany is engaged to Emilio (Jordan's younger brother) so at dinner one night she just blurts out that she's pregnant. She knows this will get back to Jordan and thinks she an control the situation, but can she?
I loved how this story played out. I really enjoyed how she was able to connect with her extended siblings in the process. Their mother was a trip but Cassie didn't let the old bag slow her roll.
Oh Jordan was a a-hole but he held his own and went for what he wanted even if it meant going to blows with big brother. Megan was too far out at times, she had her nerves to be mad but she sure wasn't when he was running through her. Even with Jordan being a jerk at times at other times he came across as a great guy. She seemed to try her best to make him out as the bad guy no matter what. In the end I enjoyed the story.
