Delhi
Delhi is one of the oldest cities in India. It has been invaded, destroyed and rebuilt several times.
For Zeb Carter and his team in Delhi, getting destroyed is acceptable. Survival is optional. Failure isn't.
Zeb and his team are training with India's RAW, the country's secretive intelligence agency, when masked shooters open up on them and escape.
The minute-long deadly burst kills several RAW agents many of whom died to save the Americans.
No terrorist group claims the killing. The shooters make no demands.
A bomb rips into a crowded street days later, close to RAW's office.
The city goes into lockdown. The media speculates about extremist activity.
Zeb works out the killings aren't random. The terrorists are targeting RAW.
But why? And by whom?
The Indian intelligence agency is a close ally and when it comes to friends, Zeb and his team have one rule.
There are no rules.

He jogged behind his crew who were with the RAW team.
RAW. Research and Analysis Wing. India's secretive foreign intelligence and counter-terrorism division.
He and his team were in the country on a joint training exercise with their Indian peers.
Vikram Kohli and Meera Ranganathan, their close friends, leading the RAW group at the front.
Zeb was in no hurry to join them even though Beth turned back and beckoned at him several times.
He was happy to pound the pavement, bringing up the rear.
New Delhi in January.
The country had just finished celebrating its Republic Day - when it became a constitutional monarchy, breaking all ties to its colonial conquerors.
Streamers on the concrete pavement. Posters and decorations still handing off cables strung between lamp posts.
They were jogging through the historic Red Fort complex, through the lush park surrounding the old building.
Vikram had taken permission for them to train inside the grounds. No other traffic. Jus them in the chilly, early January, morning air of Delhi.
A light fog which wasn't thick enough to block the sun's rays.
A faint smell of cooking wafting on the breeze.
Zeb grinned as he recalled Bwana's expression when Vikram's invitation had landed.
His friend loved visiting the country for its warmth , the sights, sounds and colors ... but also for the food.
He was still smiling when the SUV came up from behind, and sped past him.
Its windows rolled down.
Rifle barrels stuck out.
They opened fire on his and the RAW teams.

Zeb Carter suspense thriller book # 14
Zeb and his team are in Delhi for a joint training exercise with RAW, India's secretive counter-terrorism outfit.....with great company and good food. They didn’t plan anything else ...until they were attacked and the shooters escaped leaving several dead behind.....
No doubt Ty Patterson signature style shines once more in this latest with the never ending action that keeps the suspense until the very last page. Buckle up it’s a wild and exhausting ride that will keep you on your toes and riveted throughout. “Delhi” is steeped in violent incidents and mystery from the very start, making it a page-turner. Being right in the middle of the action will do this. Of course, the tit-bits of culture and custom that is injected between the lines are a plus. So I let myself learn a little history as the story moved on.
Over the top, totally improbable, diverse group of individuals, simple style, clean narrative, short and clear chapters and a very predictable story.....after 14 books you can guess what the team will face. Nevertheless “Delhi” is an enjoyable read and I am looking forward to the next installment.

I love Ty Patterson's series about the secret American Agency, led by Zeb Carter, and “Delhi” is the most recent book. The book was well-researched, and Ty Patterson perfectly described the turmoil between India, Pakistan and Iran.
The story is about Zeb’s team being ambushed in a joint training operation in the Red Fort, with India’s secret RAW Agency, where lots of agents were killed. Fortunately, Zeb’s team survived mainly because the RAW recruits helped to protect them. The team was determined to search for the terrorists and managed, with loads of technical resources and help from RAW agents and Indian Police, to defeat the culprits.
I have given this book only four stars, instead of five because I think my age cannot cope with the number of foreign names in the story. I got confused about who was who a lot of the time. Despite that, the story is exciting, as usual, with lots of action and it is fast-paced.
I would recommend any of Ty Patterson’s books to anyone who loves adventure, suspense, and thrills.

India actually has quite the history as a country and because of the results of some of their citizens religious practices. And probably because of a previous statesman called Ghandi.
So, with the economy of India soaring it is not really such a strange thing for Zeb Carter and friends to visit Delhi and make some friendly ties with RAW, the Indian "secret agency."
After all, India is the biggest Asian country on very friendly terms with America.
What is not expected, though, was for them to be attacked near the Red Fort complex by unknown terrorists whilst on a training run, leaving numerous RAW agents dead.
But why?
Delhi is one book that seems steeped in mystery and violent incidents almost from the word "Go" right up to the last pages. Small wonder page turning becomes such a well practised effortless action by the end of the first chapter already.
Enjoy.

Zeb and his crew are ambushed and almost killed in New Delhi during a joint training exercise. After the ambush is over, several of the Indian agents are dead and answers are not to be found. With that part of the world still in turmoil between India, Pakistani and Iran it could have been worse. Zeb works with the Indians and other folks to help them figure out what is going. This is a non stop butt puckering thrill ride from beginning to end ! With loads of action, adventure, mystery, intrigue and a very interesting group of characters; you not be able to put this book down ! Well worth the price of admittance !

Zeb Carter and the team are in Delhi on a joint training exercise with India's RAW team when the unexpected happens.
An old enemy and a new enemy emerge, but who are they targeting? The twists and turns lead the two teams in a direction no one could see coming.
As usual with Zeb Carter and the team, they managed to put you right in the middle of the action with them, not letting you go until the very end. I enjoyed the setting, the tea, and learning a little history about India as the story unfolded.

Zeb and his team are in Delhi for a joint training exercise with RAW, India's secretive counter-terrorism outfit. And even though few people are aware of the training, somehow they come under attack. The question is, who is attack against - is it Zeb and his team, or is it RAW? There are plenty of twists as the story progresses and some old enemies make an appearance. It is a thrilling read that will keep you engrossed from the start to the finish.

Ty Patterson's Delhi is a masterful addition to the Zeb Carter Series.
The Agency was visiting, WAR, their similar counter-terrorism team in India. While both teams were out running, they were attacked by an unknown team with deadly results.
This attack began a longtime investigation in and around Delhi to find those responsible for the attack. It has non-stop action by both teams and keeps you reading right up to the finish. And what an exciting one it has!

Training with the secret counter-terrorisms unit in India is relaxing for Zeb and the team. Until they are attacked. Now it's high alert time. Wondering which team was the target it's time to investigate and stop the killers. No matter what it takes they will succeed. Even when someone comes on their radar that Zeb thought they killed years ago. Time to make sure he's dead this time.

As always there is plenty of action with stories about Zeb and his team. Patterson also does his homework to share bits of the culture that the team is operating within. This time in Delhi working with the India intelligence services the team battles throughout to find the terrorists and what they are up to.

I was lucky enough to have gotten a ARC copy of this book from the author. Fantastic book plenty of action and suspense in Israel. I truly wish Zeb and crew were real and could help right the wrongs of the world.

Great read. Love the Zebra Carter universe & I have read all of them to date. Another exciting story, this one in a foreign country. Working with other law enforcement professionals, they take on multiple entities trying to put them in the ground.

The hallmark of Ty's narrative is plunging straight into action. While on a training run with their Indian counterparts RAW (India's primary foreign intelligence agency), Zeb and his team come under heavy fire, leaving many RAW agents dead.
The blame obviously falls on ISI (Pakistan's intelligence agency) when Zeb identifies one of the shooters. The subsequent attacks in and around Delhi speed up the efforts of both teams, and they leave no stone unturned in their pursuit.
Is it really ISI behind these attacks or is there an unknown player pulling the strings?
