And with that the "Full Throttle" series comes to an end. Such a bittersweet feeling because this book was absolutely PHENOMENAL but this series is over!! I remember reading the first book when I got into F1 and it was the perfect thing for me because romance x f1??? SAY LESS!!! Immediately picked it up and had no regrets!!

Oliver and Sofia (in my opinion) are the perfect couple to end this series. We have seen Oliver throughout this series be the badboy and we needed his arc and K. Bromberg provided us that and more!! Loved this book, loved the vibes, and especially loved Oliver and Sofia 💛💛
And for all my F1 girlies, just to visualize, this book gave me MAJOR Max Verstappen vibes and I am a Max Verstappen girlie so I was SOLD!! 😇💛

I always admire an author that is able to redeem a character we have been hating since the start of a series. As you can imagine, Kristy did exactly that with Oliver Rossi. And this is not the first time she does this so I am not surprised she did again. We finally see the other side of Oliver, we discover why he is the way he is and how falling for his match changes everything as the story develops. So, without further ado, let me tell you why you’ll love this book!

Out of Control is the newest and final book in K. Bromberg’s Full Throttle series and it tells the story of Oliver Rossi, the reckless, overconfident F1 driver everyone hates and Sofia Navarro, the saver of the highly known Spanish family, Cruz’s sister and art expert. These two clash in a music festival and they just can’t ignore the sparks. After sharing what was supposed to be just one night, they start seeing each other in secret. Unexpected feelings start to develop after both peel each other’s layers and things get complicated when it’s finally time to show their relationship to the world.

What happens when you’re the mouse in the cat and mouse game and you suddenly want to be caught?

If anyone can make us fall head over heels in love with a “villain” that is definitely K. Bromberg. Oliver Rossi got on our nerves in the first three books in the series but in Out of Control we finally discover his true self. He has been hiding behind his “asshole” attitude and Sofia is not having it. After their unforgettable night, their chemistry burns hotter than ever. They can’t stop thinking about each other and they start falling. Hard. But they do everything in secret, especially scared of the reaction of Sofia’s family on their new relationship. But this time their connection cannot be ignored and they have to fight with all their might to stay together. And fight they do! I loved these two together, how we finally see their true personalities when they start falling in love and how that turns into a beautiful love story.

Therefore, I am rating Out of Control with 4.5 STARS because overall it was a very well done final installment of this series. Kristy was able to redeem this character we all hated and made us fall in love with him. Trust me, you have to meet the true Oliver Rossi. You’ll love him as much as Sofia does. These two together were so sweet and so hot. I loved their relationship, how they support each other’s dreams and how they fight for this especial connection. So, if you still haven’t read this series and you love sports romance, I highly recommend you do!

Out of Control is book four (and, unfortunate, the finale one) in Full Throttled series. This book is finally about Oliver Rossi and Sofia Navarro - both were introduced early in the series.

This book nailed the brother's teammate trope and I loved how forbbiden the romance was.

I was not expecting to fall in love with Ollie as much as I did, after everything he done in book three. It's amazing how I went from hating him to love him with my whole heart - what an amazing main male character!

Sofia was also so well developed and her devotion and dedication to her family was one of my favorite parts of the story. She was so loyal and I was rooting for her to fight for her dreams all the time.

This story is about self acceptance and defend your desires and beliefs - both Ollie and Sofia show us, in a beautiful way, how to start doing what we love.

The love story was also one of my favorites in the series and I love the Maddix and Cruz cameos - I love this couple!

K. Bromberg delivered us another formula one romance with characters that we will fall in love.

"Out of Control" is out on August 22 and you need to read this series asap!

OLIVER ROSSI, wait let me see that again… OLIVER ROSSI. This man had me melting in a puddle.

He’s a MMC with a hard exterior and seen as a villain to most, well except when he accidentally wins over the heart of his teammate/rivals sister.

Sofia is no exception to my love for this book, really I loved them all and can’t wait to go back as I read this as a stand-alone! Felt like I totally didn’t miss a thing but the writing was phenomenal and I will be reading more. Anyways, she is someone who has always lived under the shadow of her brother (dang can this girl relate), but is finally breaking the mold and doing something she wants to do for herself.

I literally can’t say enough praises about this the narrators were phenomenal, and who doesn’t love a spicy scene in an art museum? 🥵

Rossi is literally the if he wanted to he would and boy does he!



A few of my favorite moments because this one hit deep.

I stare at Rossi the man who everyone thinks has a cold heart. And realize how much he has softened for me, how much he has worked for me to see my own worth when I should have seen it myself.

Being protective is one thing but clipping my wings is a whole other.

The circus looks beautiful to kids, it’s only when you become an adult you see the thread bear costumes and the scars on the animals

This book was perfect! It was absolutely everything I needed right now. I hadn’t read any of Bromberg’s works going into this, but as soon as I read the first chapter I added her books to my tbr. There is just something about the way the characters are written that hook you and make you fall in love with them. Rossi went from a sarcastic, entitled asshole to an absolute golden retriever who only wanted the best for Sofia. Sofia was dealing with an internal battle about whether to pursue what she wanted or stick to the traditions of her family. It was really nice to see her deal with her issues and choose what was best for her, even if it upset a few people. She truly loved Rossi and I believe that made each other better people by being together. The characters were also not just surface level, they had true depth and you could feel the emotions on the page.

The writing was really great and I was honestly addicted to the characters! It’s been quite a while since I have read a book in less than 24 hours, and I did with this one, so that’s a testament to how freaking good this book was. I loved that there was no third-act break up and it showed quite realistically the ups and downs of relationships.

I have no more to say about this book other than it was just so good and I highly recommend to absolutely anyone!

Having read the previous books in the latest series from K. Bromberg I could not wait to dive into excited to read Out of Control is Oliver Rossi and Sofia Navarro’s love story.

Oliver never expected the chaos that Sofia brought into his life but oh it was wonderful to watch. .

Their story is an entertaining story and I enjoyed the push and pull dynamic as their relationship progressed.

As they got to know one another, it was heartwarming to watch their relationship develop.

A well written story that will draw you in and keep you invested till the last word is read.

Out of Control is the fourth and final book in the Full Throttle series by K. Bromberg.

This story is about Oliver Rossi. He is a formula 1 driver and he is his own worst enemy. He is reckless on the track and the bad boy in this industry. He doesn’t care what people think of him. Sofia Navarro has to be a good girl and do what her family says. She wants to be seen for who she is and not only as Cruz Navarro's younger sister.

Sofia and Rossi run into each other at a festival where nobody knows them and they can be themself. Sparks fly and they give into the temptation. But what happens the next day, when they have to go back to the real normal.

In the previous book, 𝗞𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘆 made me dislike Rossi so much. Then she comes around the corner with his own story, made me love him and absolutely blew my mind! She is a total mastermind!

His story is EVERYTHING & MORE! There are so many layers to Rossi and it was really beautiful to read why he is the way he is. I fell hard and fast for Rossi!

The chemistry between Rossi and Sofia was off the charts from the very first chapter! Sofia & Rossi are perfect for each other and I couldn’t get enough of them! The way Rossi supports Sofia in every way possible to achieve her dreams makes me swoon so much!

Kristy takes us on a rollercoaster with this story and deserves more than 5 stars!

This is the fourth and final book in the Full Throttle series and I am so sad to say goodbye to this world.

I have to admit, I wasn’t completely sold on reading Oliver’s story after meeting him in Over the Limit. He was cocky and arrogant and honestly just kind of an asshole, but in Out of Control we learn that he is also very kind, sweet, patient and just trying to be the best racer that he can be.
Sophia and Ollie were exactly what the other needed without either of them realizing it. I loved watching their relationship develop as they both accepted their feelings for one another.

I am so sad that K. Bromberg’s Full Throttle Series is over. Out of Control was the last in the series, and it was a perfect read to celebrate the end of the summer F1 break. We’ve met the arrogant Oliver Rossi in the previous books, and he was the villain in Over The Limit. He was a total douchecanoe to his long-time girlfriend, but I knew Kristy would somehow make me love him in the end, and I was right!

Cruz Navarro (from On The Edge) and Oliver Rossi are new teammates, but they are far from friends. The Navarros own the team and Oliver is treated like a second-class citizen as the second driver. Sofia Navarro is Cruz’s sister, and though she is beautiful, Oliver knows to stay away. But when he went to a music festival and happened to see her getting harassed, he had to step in.

Cruz has warned his sister to stay away from bad-boy Oliver Rossi, but one night, away from racing, “Simply Sofia” and “Just Rossi” gave into their attraction. Well, it was supposed to just be one night.

"I don't chase. Ever. And yet… it seems I'm chasing Sofia Navarro."

Oliver has struggled his whole life with trying to prove he is worthy. Learning his back story helped me understand him so much more. So when Sofia was hiding him from her family, it broke my heart, and I found it frustrating that she was so afraid to risk going against her family—not just with him, but with her dream of an art gallery as well.

Sofia Navarro has played second fiddle in her F1 family. She was there to take care of everyone else, but who took care of her? She had abandonment issues, and I loved the way Ollie always reassured her that he was there for her. He was her biggest cheerleader and encouraged her and helped her pursue her dreams. The things he did for her…OMG, I just love him so much. Talk about redemption!

These two were so vulnerable with each other. I loved the way they talked about the hard stuff. And there was no shortage of steam in Out of Control. Their chemistry was through the roof!

Of all four books in the Full Throttle Series, Out of Control had the most crossover. I enjoyed seeing the previous couples in Out of Control, and I’d like to think they all become friends and hang out.

•Ollie 100% redeemed himself.
•Crossover with the couples from the other books.
•Ollie is just a softie inside.
•We really got to know the characters on a deeper level.
•The chemistry was fantastic.
•I loved that Blaire was still his friend.
•Both of their families played a big part in the story.
•Peach Rings!

Dislikes:
•Not enough racing and traveling.
•Not enough of the cultures of the main characters.
•Sofia hid him for too long and I didn't love her as much as I wanted to.

The Narration:
Ollie is supposed to be Italian. Even though they said at the beginning that he had very little accent, I would have liked to hear a hint of one because the Belissima nickname sounded weird. She’s supposed to be Spanish, and I would have liked to hear more of that as well. The narrators were fabulous if they played American characters.

The Down & Dirty:
It is so sad to see the Full Throttle Series end. I have really loved getting to know these drivers and the women who love them. I didn’t think K. Bromberg would be able to redeem the bad boy of the series in Out of Control, but I ended up loving Oliver. He was so supportive and turned out to be a cinnamon roll when it came to Sofia. I highly recommend the Full Throttle Series by K. Bromberg whether you are an F1 fan or not. But you should be! For more F1 books, see my Ultimate List of Formula 1 Novels.

When he encounters Sofia Navarro at a music festival they take a chance to be “simply Sofia” and “just Ollie”. The chemistry between them is flaming hot, so even after their one night stand they can’t stay away from each other.

I have been waiting for Rossi’s story for so long now! The ending of Over the Limit left me stunned. (IYKYK) On the outside, everything about Rossi fits the stereotypical bad boy vibe, but the person he is when it’s only him and Sofia was next level book boyfriend goals. One bad interaction set off the course of his career. From that moment he decided to do whatever it took to prove the people that looked down on him wrong. There was just so much to love about him. He is hands down my favorite MMC from this series!

Sofia has spent the better part of her adult life putting out fires inside her family. She’s the person her famous brother counts on to be a buffer between him and their parents. She always puts everyone’s needs over her own. When she meets Oliver and gets to know him, he quickly tries to help her put herself first. Her dream is to open an art gallery but her grandfather doesn’t approve.

What I really loved about this story was that Sofia and Oliver healed each other’s hearts. They are just two people in love and it really just made me so happy. This book starts off blazing with the chemistry between them and it continues to sizzle through the entire book! The peach ring scene TOOK. ME. OUT. 🔥🫠

Simply-Just Amazing! Out of Control by K. Bromberg was a swoony Formula 1 Racing romance that did deliciously good things to my heart. I have loved this entire Full Throttle series from Bromberg, but Sofia and Rossi might be my new favorite. This one-night stand/ teammates’ little sister romance captivated me from start to finish and had me wishing and longing for Sofia and Rossi to make peace with their families and love each other publicly no matter the costs. I loved Sofia’s love for art, and her passion to make something of herself for the Navarro family name outside of racing. Who knew Rossi would be just the man to give her the confidence to stand up for herself and pursue her dreams. Seeing “Ollie” in a new light made me fall hard for him. Learning his true desires and goals only Sofia sparked was simply awe-inspiring, endearing, and definitely meant to be. The chemistry between Sofia and Rossi was off the charts right from the start, and their secret, forbidden chemistry and the way they supported each other made me melt.

Overall, I LOVED this book. If you are a fan of a Formula 1 racing romance with a hot confident Italian driver, a heroine who loves her art, one-night stands, music festivals, secret romance, going after new dreams, family drama, an overprotective brother, opening a new gallery, proving yourself, all the steamy times, speaking your truths, peach ring fun, racing for the podium, an advice-giving friend, swoony date nights, landing the artwork of your dreams, and a HEA that will take control of your heart, then you will love Sofia and Rossi’s romance. I always look forward to more from K. Bromberg.

Oooh! What a delicious story of a villain got his happy ending. We met Rossi in previous book – not a likable guy to say the least but K.B really redeemed his character. Everyone deserves a second chance – there is only one woman can get Rossi to change his way. Bad boy with a huge chip on his shoulder and a feisty FMC who has big dreams and finally ready to spread her wings all awhile our hero was there to hold her hands … whoa I didn’t expect the swoons and smitten hero making appearance 😊 My heart hurts for Sofia but melt for the way Rossi supportive and rooting for her. Rossi and Sofia are an unlikely pair, but they fit not only because of their amazing chemistry but also they understand each other on a deeper level. Sometimes, you just need someone to really see you for who you are. The author really let us see a beautiful side of Rossi underneath his exterior facade. Love the plot – one night stand turns forbidden relationship turns downright sizzling and heartfelt love story. Expect all the feels. Devoured this book in one sitting. Excellent writing and fast pace. Might be my new favorite of this series.

If one can redeem a bad character it's definitely Kristy Bromberg. Out of Control is the last in this Full-Throttle F1 series of stand-alones and it's Oliver Rossi and Sofia Navarro's story.

I had my doubts about Rossi as he wasn't my favourite character from previous books but he absolutely redeemed himself with this one.
I enjoyed learning their backstories and everything they went through. I loved how much they complimented each other, the love in secret storyline and the big brother over-protectiveness which was expected.

The audio was well-done and although the story was lighter than what I usually expect from K.Bromberg, it still had its emotional moments.

It was a good ending to the series and the bad boy of F1 turned out to be a good one undercover. Give him a try. I recommend the audio version as well.

Oh this book! It gave me all the feels. Some scenes just broke my heart for both Rossi and Sofia. It’s what helped shape them. I admire just how strong they have been after all the circumstances handed to them. 🥹
What I was not prepared for was how good their chemistry was! They can’t get enough of each other and they are like two opposite poles of the magnet fighting the pull. 😮‍💨
And oof, I prepared myself to love Rossi but not to the extent that he surpassed my love for Cruz Navarro. 🤭

Oliver Rossi, consider yourself redeemed in my eyes. You may have treated Blair poorly but I think you both knew that both of you were just holding on to the familiarity you’ve grown accustomed to. If not for that, Blair wouldn’t have found what she was searching for in Lachlan and you, in Sofia. You are reckless, self-centered, the villain but dang I never thought of you as sweet, thoughtful, perceptive and oh so caring. You’ll be surprised how swoon-worthy he is in this book. Cruz’s grand gestures have been rivaled 🤭

Sofia on the other hand has been good for Rossi. My perception of her changed once I read the book. In the second book, I just thought of her as Cruz’s sister who is always there for him no matter what. But reading this book made me realize how much she sacrificed just to make her family happy. I didn’t realize how similar she is to Rossi. I won’t pretend I understand what they both went through but it gave me a deeper understanding of why they were drawn to each other.

This is the fourth book in this series and I am so sad to seeing it end. However I think that this was a great final installment! Like others I was hesitant I wouldn’t like Oliver, but he had one hell of a redemption arc. Though in previous books he came off as a complete jerk. In his own book we were able to see a different side of him that had you swooning. Oliver and Sofia were amazing together. The dynamic between these two was so fun with explosive chemistry. Amazing banter and loved the way they supported each other.

If you haven’t read this series yet and you want to dip your toe in the F1 world, dont hesitate to pick this one up!

Rossi redeemed himself

I wish i had read this series over a shorter period of time. I enjoyed this series and Rossi did redeem himself. I liked that both Rossi and Sofia had family struggles to overcome but found the answers within each other.

Who doesn’t love when a villain finally redeems himself and works hard to get that HEA. Oliver Rossi is the cocky Formula 1 race car driver with a bad attitude and only worried about himself, that is till someone comes into his life and opens his eyes up to new beginnings. Sofia Navarro has grown up around the race track, her brother, Cruz Navarro, a formula 1 racer on the same race team as Oliver Rossi and the two of them couldn’t be further from friends. Sofia has dreams and aspirations to begin her career in the art world but her brother’s passion always seem to take precedence over hers, that is till she sneaks away to a festival and connects with Oliver. Oliver is the bad boy, Sofia knows this, her family has warned her to stay away from him but still something has drawn these two together and following their journey had me falling hard for them both. Out Of Control is my new favorite of the series, with Teddy Hamilton and Stefanie Kay narrating in dual, this story had me hooked the entire time. Teddy Hamilton brought so much emotion out as Oliver, from the cockiness we are familiar with, the “I don’t care” facade Oliver plays into, as well as the vulnerable moments he had with Sofia and his family, Teddy was able to show us so many different sides to Oliver Rossi that we knew deep down he had and you couldn’t help but root for him. Sometimes all it takes is that one thing (or person) to make you realize there is more to life than being at the top, and Sofia showed Oliver that. Teddy’s dominant side and dirty mouth when Oliver brought his A game wasn’t bad either 😉😉 Stefanie Kay narrating Sofia was sweet and gentle, she gave Sofia this tone where you could understand she was hesitant but she was also very trusting of Oliver, she knew his bad boy attitude and handled it so well without arguments or aggression and that was what Oliver needed in his corner. Her man voice as Oliver was perfection too! Both Oliver and Sofia pushed each other to be the best versions of themselves as well as go after their dreams. The bond and the communication these two had flourished and I loved every minute of it.

Out of Control 4th book in the Full Throttle series, however, it was my first book by this author. I think you can read this as a standalone, but it seems like Rossi was kind of a villain in the previous books, so he may have a better redemption arc if you read them first.

This book starts off with a one night stand at a music festival between Oliver Rossi and Sofia Navarro. He is the bad boy or asshole of her brother's team, and she has been warned to stay away from him. However, they can't stay away from each other after their hot night of passion. They have to keep their relationship a secret from her family and his team. I loved seeing the softer sides to Rossi and how sweet he was with Sofia. They had amazing chemistry and were able to connect on a deeper level once he showed her the real him.

I also really enjoyed seeing Sofia start fighting for her dreams instead of what her family expects of her. It was great to see how Rossi pushed her to be herself and go for what she wanted. I also loved how they both were passionate about art.

🎧 Audiobook Review 🎧

Teddy Hamilton is perfection, as always. He always makes me like the morally grey or bad boys more than I probably would reading it physically. He did an amazing job as Rossi, and he was so sexy. He showed his ego, but also his vulnerabilities. Stefanie Kay also did a great job voicing Sofia's character and brought a lot of depth and emotion to the character. I just wish this was duet narration so I could hear Teddy Hamilton do Rossi's dirty talk during Sofia's chapters.

I just loved Ollie and Sofia - the drama around them really showed how natural their relationship worked. His playboy past struggles & her obnoxiously judge family brought the drama while these two could have easily fallen in love so quick! It was a fun storyline to follow for sure!Also, while I just loved Cruz in On the Edge…homie was a dickhead in this book and I just wanted to shake him! (I’m torn between loving Maddix for leaving the siblings to figure out their family drama because of her history with everything, but ugh I wanted Maddix to smack Cruz over the head and tell him to figure himself out asap)

I’m such a sucker for the redemption arc and Kristy delivered with this one!! Rossi was a character we met in a previous book and I was NAWT a fan. He was arrogant and conceited continuously. Then, you meet him again in Out of Control and you’re like, “Wait a minute.”

Rossi and Sofia’s chemistry was instantaneous and I loooved getting to see his soft side. The ‘forbidden’ nature of it added a layer of excitement too.

Racing-wise, F1 talk didn’t overwhelm the plot at all. I may have liked a bit🤏 more, but the art talk was also a fun surprise!

Now make like an F1 car and zoom to KU to read 😉

I’ll be honest, I was nervous going into this that my dislike for Rossi would affect my opinion of his story, because he was such a jerk in the previous book. However, he does a really good job at redeeming himself. And I loved Sofia, so that helped! They connected on so many levels, and sometimes it just takes the right person to come along to make us realize who we were meant to be. I guess even villains deserve their happily ever after sometimes 😂

But seriously, I really love K. Bromberg’s writing, I’m such a fan, and if you like your romance with the door wide open, you definitely want to read! She does spice so well 🌶️🌶️ and she creates some of the best characters, angst, chemistry, tension, banter, I could go on! I am obsessed with this F1 world she has introduced us to, and am sad to see the series end, but can’t wait for what she gives us next!

Rossi is the bad boy of Formula 1. He's brash and known for breaking the rules. Sofia comes from racing royalty. Boxed in by family expectations, she's trying to find her footing in the world. While both live in an exclusive world, each is troubled by insecurity. Coming from a working class background, Rossi worries about not being good enough. Defined by her famous family, Sofia wants to be more than someone's sister or granddaughter. This unlikely pair become each other's support. Even though their relationship is considered preposterous by the people around them, they demonstrate that they believe in each other and help each other grow and succeed.

Rossi was featured as a villain in the previous book in the series. Nonetheless, his evolution into a hero is convincing and he transforms into a likeable and believable hero.
