Omg book 2 is just as 🌶️ as book 1 if not more. We get new positions, she takes two p33ns in one hole😁, and we get what we waited for at the end of book 1! Finally! Bonded complete time 🥵 There is a lot of emotional turmoil and sweetness added into this story because of the bond that is truly melting🫠 We get more background to answer some questions and added information that makes the story fuller. There are many fight scenes that are bloody, wee bit of gore, and intense but creative. But the best thing is we get our picture perfect HEA with an added epilogue!

Read Warnings before reading there are sooo many tropes and kinks😬

Unfortunately, this was a DNF at 25%

I believe it was a product of too much time between book one and two’s releases. I no longer had an emotional attachment to the characters.

There was some difficulty in tracking character names as the FMC had nicknames for each mate and their common names were also in use. Aside from her beta mate, I couldn’t tell you who was who for the longest time.

Additionally, the pacing was unbearably slow. I think I would have continued reading had there been some initial action to pull me back into the story. I kept hoping each subsequent chapter would yield SOMETHING happening.

The reading experience would be heightened if the reader were to binge the duet without time gaps. I just don’t have the room in my TBR to do so at this time.

All hail the Queen

This world has been on my mind since I read the first book. I honestly read so much that I often times forget what happens in a book shortly after reading it but not this series. Saphyra, Axion (Ghost), Valyx (Shadow), Lex, and Grey lived in my head rent free. I checked on the release of the second book SO many times, so finally getting the conclusion of their story made me giddy. The thing I loved most about this duet is the fact that it had a gripping storyline that had me totally immersed in this world, the drama, action, and suspense were top notch. The characters were amazing ( I flipping ADORE Ghost and Shadow so much) and I just really enjoyed the journey that we were taken on. I would definitely read more about this world and would love to see the Imperatrix get taken down for good.

This was great conclusion to The Hive and well worth the wait. Saphyra and her mates have made it back to her home planet and are now trying to settling in. While learning about her role as queen they soon find out that she might have to choose between her mates and her crown while grappling with this new information and trying to find a way to stay together they soon realize that someone is actively working against them and their goal to bring glory back to their people and the planet. As their relationships continue to grow they begin to realize that in order to make their goal into reality and find out who is sabotaging them, they’ll have to go back to where the turmoil began and unlock her memories. I like Saphyra she was sweet, sassy and a little naive in the beginning but once she began to see behind the curtain she became determined to help her people and get justice. Her mates oh gosh I loved how swoon worthy, protective and attentive they were with her and the spice oh the spice was so gooooood. I enjoyed seeing the years of friendship and trust between Lex, Valyx and Axion and how after struggling to accept him initially they began to care for Grey like he was one of them. I hope we get to see more of this world in the future can’t wait to see the Imperatix and her hive finally defeated.

I did not watch these 5 work so hard to escape the hive together in book 1 just to play will-they-wont-they in book 2.

Promising series, falls apart in this book

Over all the premise is excellent, the world building is great and the characterization is decent. But the plot lacks depth and builds its foundation on tired tropes of "damsel in distress" and internalized misogyny.
What has disappointed me the most is the promise of a seemingly clever, strategic, strong female lead in the first book has been nonsensically turned into a timid, infantilized, tantrum throwing doll to be puppeteered around "for her protection". There doesn't seem to be any good explanation for it. They talk about this lore surrounding her, it's introduced in 2 sentences and then it's as if it never existed.
The lead male MC, Lex, gave me the ick as soon as he was introduced and it hasn't really improved. The other three male MCs arent any better. Over all this feels like a number of other sci-fi romantasy's with better premise but not much long term progress.

It was great to have a conclusion to the first book! I did enjoy this duet, and I am glad to have a HEA. There were some issues I had with this one, though.

Was it just me, or is this book much longer than the first? It felt like it dragged on in multiple spots. I got bored a few times and had to set it down.

I did like where it went. It was predictable in many spots, though. I did like the twist when they re-entered the city, though. It would have been way too predictable, otherwise.

All that being said, though, the ending doesn't feel like an end. The first book didn't really have a cliffhanger to lead into the second book, and it almost feels like this one could be the same (except for having that added epilogue).
I still have questions, the biggest of which is: what happened to the Imperatrix? Did she just pack up her toys and go home? That's what it feels like. There are so many things left unfinished here. Yes, Saphyra gets her HEA, but there are other threads to the story that need to be wrapped up.

Overall, I did enjoy these books, and I would recommend them to others.

Sweet romance

Good duet. Solid characters. Real storyline coupled with some very steamy scenes. Usually the steamier the book, the weaker the plot. Not with this book. She is a solid author. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥/5

Whose Blood is it Anyway?

"Welcome to the book where everything's ridiculous and the stakes don't matter. I will be your reluctant host.."

Let's introduce the main cast! We have 👑 Sephora and her four mates: a Spooky 👻, Dark Sonic, Sad Gray Man and Lex Doofer.

I have to say, I found the pacing to be absolutely atrocious with the near constant horniness of these crazy kids ruining all semblance of momentum and plot progression. Something bad happens? Sexy times! Something sad happens? Super Saiyan Sexy Times!!! 💥💦

The MCs are running around like Chicken Lil and the sky is falling but they decide to stop on the way and bang out their problems every few chapters. I had 4 Minutes by Madonna on repeat in my head the entire time and it was as annoying a song now as it was back then.

I know most of us of a certain age have heard of The NeverEnding Story but what about The NeverEnding S. e.x Scene? Well, in this book it starts around page 330 and it just kept going, and going, and going for 30+ pages...a real running of the rabbits, if you will. 🐰🐇🥁

By 78% I was hollering, "Just finish her!" and "Bite each other already!!? and even "Hurry up! The storm troopers are coming!"

Yeesh. Is the plot in the room with us right now? Cuz I think it died an ignominious death as a dehydrated husk from too much sexual healing. Or like Artax they left the poor plot to drown in the (Hot) Springs of Saddness. 🐎☠️☠️☠️

There was so much manufactured, easily sidestepped drama for the sake of drama. (And maybe page count?) They treat the impending attack of their planet and thwarting of said attack like a leisurely camping trip. 🏕️🥾 And. It. DROVE. ME. CrAzY.

I found myself yelling at the characters like they were oblivious on screen, scream queens in a slasher flick. Everytime the MCs are faced with danger or the possibility of something not being quuiite right, they go ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ instead and ignore it. (Usually this is accompanied by even more funny business 🤡💀) Or they rush blindly right into danger and when things predictably go wrong and they are all out of time, they're all like,"this is fine 🔥🔥🔥"

Despite the delulu being especially strong with this one, those good for nothing kids finally managed to unmask the villains after bumbling around and falling into multiple poorly timed orgies. So... yay? But just like our good buddy Artax, I was just so, so ready for the torture to end. 🐴💀

I am rounding up my score of 2.5 stars because Sephora embraced her inner Carrie at the end there and pulled a, "Look what you did!". 👹👑 That was giving very demure, very mindful, extremely bloody energy. I hereby award this book 3 Bloody Marys💃🪓 (that I wish I had imbibed while reading this🫗)

I've been stalking the release of this second book since the first book was released. There have been so many times over the past two years that I've gone to reread and then get sad because the release was so far off. This is one of those series where you *need* answers and I'm so glad we got them in the second half of this duet.

Morrison did such a phenomenal job with the build up in this duet. The anticipation had me on the edge of my seat. The little clues tucked in as the story progressed almost led me astray, thinking that someone else was the culprit behind everything, so the slow reveal of the true villain was so good! They were well thought out and I loved the world building that explained the why behind their plans. Besides the greed for money and power. That's usually one of the reasons, right? We even got an explanation behind the Hive and the Imperatrix and, boy, was it a good one. Seriously, jump into this duet. You won't regret it.

I really hope we see more in this world. Maybe with Lyrah or the Alpha who had his mate taken away in the first book. I feel like there could be so much more to this world, especially from the alphas and omegas who would be acclimating, or re-acclimating for some, into the world after being stuck in the Hive.

Saphyra is home. Years after she was taken and her family was killed, she was once again on her birth planet. Her arrival immediately brings changes. Her people will once again have a queen. Now, with that title comes the heavy crown of responsibility. It wouldn't be so confusing if her men were at her side. Unfortunately, they've started to pull away. They know only 1 can truly ever rule by her side. With danger lurking and her personal life in turmoil, will all the risks taken be for nothing?

You guys!!!! I was desperate for the next part of Saphyra's story, and the wait was worth it! So much happens. There are some elements that reminded me of a fairytale (Cinderella anyone?). Expect you know for the RH, heat, and knots. Obviously, there's MM, and you definitely need to read book 1 because this is not a standalone. Based on how things played out, Saphyra definitely needed to follow her instincts more often. They were completely right on several occasions. I love the epilogue. There's still more stories that need to be told with the side characters. I'll definitely be keeping my eye out for them.

Perfect conclusion to a brilliant sci-fi omegaverse

The Queen is the second book in a duet and must be read in order after The Hive.

The story picks up straight after The Hive concludes and I read these back to back. There’s lots of drama from on planet and off, we find out more of the backstory both to the main characters and the reason for the Hive itself and there is plenty of room for other novels in the same universe although this particular story arc comes to a brilliant dramatic and perfect conclusion.

I really loved both books and found them incredibly easy to read and moreish.

All the main characters are endearing but all in very different ways. Shadow was my favourite character and I loved the epilogue because of this.

There was plenty of spicy scenes throughout the book and these felt like just the right amount too.

A tiny bit of sword crossing but done as part of a group scene where focus was FMC so even if thats not normally your thing I would say give this one a go.

Overall this book is interesting, the story is very different from any other omegaverses I’ve read, impossible to put down and just so so good

Spice x Dark Omegaverse (MFMM) x SciFi x Dystopian

Summary: After Saphyra, a young Omega escapes her imprisonment on the Hive, she finds her way to her home planet, Verden, accompanied by her beta and alpha rescuers. Once she arrives to her unfamiliar home, she must conform to strange customs and confront the newly emerging memories of a painful past. As she assumes her rightful place on the throne of Verden, she discovers that she must make some impossible choices.

I have never read anything quite like this series. I am not new to Omegaverse, but the SciFi and dystopian elements really made this series engaging.

Just like Book 1, the Hive, I found the SciFi / extraterrestrial setting to be unique and I enjoyed the character development of the FMC and the variation of personalities amongst the MMCs.

This story has FM, MM, knotting, double-knotting, nesting and all the spicy things that we all love about Omegaverse. There are parts of this book that I do believe could have been shortened without disturbing the details of the plot, but overall, I enjoyed this book.

The Queen by S.C. Morrison is the 2nd book in the Omega Bloodlines series. You need to read book one before this one as we pick up soon after the end of book one. Saphyra and her guys have made it back to their home world. Saphyra is told how to lead her people, but certain aspects don’t seem right. Why do some people live in wealth while others do not?

Certain people want her to choose one mate instead of being with all her guys. While Sephyra knows she should be with all her guys, she needs to do some convincing to get all of them on the same page. There are lots of spicy times between Sephyra and her men.

Aspects of the world’s history are being rewritten and destroyed. When they find out the truth, what will they do about it?

This was a good continuation of the first book. We get some resolution on Sephrya’s story, but there is room for spin-offs which I hope we get to read. You should go read book one and two now.

This book was very enjoyable, filled with action and omega needy-ness. If you like some sci-fi mixed in with an omegaverse that has all of your purring, knotting and biting, then you’ll love this! This book continues the battle against the Imperatrix to end her reign. Saphyra has finally escaped, with the help of Lex, Valyx, Axion and Grey, and been reunited with her home planet of Verden. However, Saphyra’s fight is far from over. Becoming Queen might not be something Saphyra can do, if it means giving up her mates that put everything on the line to save her. Not only does Saphyra have her new Crown to defend, but she also wants to save all of the omegas and slaves that have been imprisoned/sold on the Hive. Will Saphyra be able to save her friends? Will she be able to keep her mates from those who want to tear them apart? Read to find out!

The Queen, is the sequel to The Hive which is one of my favourite Omegaverse. With its genre bending tropes and unique story, it has me hooked from the first chapter. The Queen is just as riveting and I have been enjoying the roller coaster of emotions as I've read it. The planet that Sapphyra has been returned to from her prison, to rule, has a clear delineation between the common people and the "nobles" with a court that she is expected to rule over and abide by their rules. With the political games, the unfinished mate bonds with her four mates and the past coming back in bursts of long surpresed memories, this book is absolutely amazing. Its vast in scope, with steamy and sexy scenes that will have you dripping! I loved the characters growth, the 5 main characters are so resilient and strong and together only better. I cannot wait to see what this author tackles next!

I have been anticipating book 2 for a while since reading book one. This book was so worth the wait. You get answers you were looking for and get so excited! This is definitely something I will be happy to reread! This duet is everything and so much more!

The author did a good job throwing me off of who was the true criminal, not once did I think it was the person it was. Such mystery and I enjoyed it so freaking much! I was on the edge of my seat a couple of times I couldn’t help it! Loved it so much!

The characters, I loved and they grew so much in this book. They each meshed together so well that I was able to love these characters so much more. And don’t forget the spicy scenes! So good!

Overall, this duet is so good! Glad to finally have part two, it was so worth the wait!

OMG this was a great book. I love this story. It was a page turner and the suspense was AWESOME!!!! I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn't even put it down literally. It was addicted. Saphyra was the Queen of this Hive and she was powerful of them all. Axion was one of her solider and he had a major role in this war. These others characters was tough and powerful omega ever. And how will this play out for her and her omega warriors. Will this war ended her reign over the Hive. Or will she be victory?
I highly recommend this book and you won't be disappointed . I received advance copy of this book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving my honest review. Trina Jones

This book was every bit as amazing as book 1. Saphyra has exchanged one type of captivity for another. She gets to explore the planet she grew up on, but her life there comes at a cost, especially because she is supposed to be queen. Things heat up both in political intrigue and in her bonds with the men that surround her. Definitely a fantastic OV read - the balance of her and all of her different men was well done. Can't beat some classic heat and bonding drama! With some interesting world building, a new cast of side characters, and the reappearance of some old ones, Saphyra is in for a lot of trials and adventures as she searches for her happiness and freedom.

I really enjoyed the first book, and I really liked the overall idea of the books. It was different and interesting. However, it needed more. I needed more relationship-building, world-building, and character development. It was like no one was trying to figure out anything, but instead, we dealt a lot with OW drama, mean girls, and weird parents. The main focus should have been on how to defeat the Hive. Also, I got weird vibes about the best friend situation, like, girl, your bestie is a prisoner on a planet that is incompatible for life...but we are just going to put that on the back burner?

Never been so happy when I saw a book coming! After reading the first it was a bit of a wait but I was OK and willing. And boy is it worth it. This reads again so easily and how it unfolds now is so amazing. The story continues but also the choice is impossible. What to choose? Crown or mates? Not a choice and now she needs her mates more then ever. On the edge of my seat and loved every minute.

who is the traitor

Book 2 wraps up Saphira’s story. Before you get to the HEA, you have to go through heartache and betrayal. Can you figure out how she will survive wanting multiple bonds? Who is the traitor in their midst? What started all this craziness? It’s a bit of a roller coaster but loved the book.

Wow, I almost finished this second part in one sitting.
The story in this book continues where we left off in Part 1.
This book is full of dark and exciting elements.
The safe haven turns out not to be so safe after all and many intrigues come to light.
Will Saphyra be able to save her planet and keep her men with her?

Awesome world building, a soul-gripping plot and multilayered and captivating characters makes this book an absolute MUST READ!

What a thiccc book that concluded this scifi space omegaverse story perfectly.

This picks up immediately after book 1, and is a bit slow building at first as they get settled after escaping the Hive, Saphyra getting used to her position as the Queen, and then trying to rescue her friends back at the Hive. So action-packed, steamy, kinky, and lots of angst (plot and relationship-wise).

Read the full list of warnings/triggers. Ends in HEA and them all finally completing the bond. So sad that this is already the end. I need more beyond the epilogue~
