Giselle Deveraux is the Artistic Director of Edge, the most exclusive hair salon and spa in the Tampa Bay area. She is also secretly a femme submissive, but one who’s vowed she will never again get involved with another so-called “Dominant” after suffering mental, physical, and emotional torture at the hands of her first one.
Master Chance Harmon, the owner of Eros—an exclusive BDSM club for the queer community in Florida—unexpectedly takes possession of Giselle one night when the lovely woman loses a wager she’s made with her gay business partner Derrick, another Dominant at Eros. Giselle has agreed to spend a single night as the submissive of any Dom who can lure a response from her at Derrick’s birthday party at Eros. When it’s the mysterious and seductive butch club owner who draws an unbidden reaction from the guarded femme that night, Giselle is persuaded to spend the entire weekend with Chance, at her command.
Chance is determined to show Giselle what a real D/s relationship should be, that nightmare abuse is not what any sub should suffer under her Master. After a weekend filled with passion, healthy power exchange, and the fulfillment of Giselle’s darkest desires, the couple decides to see where their budding relationship will take them, with Chance confident she can heal Giselle’s scars.
But Giselle’s trust issues are much deeper than even Chance has suspected. Giselle struggles to obey her Master when Chance makes it clear she will expect no less than her submissive’s complete and total surrender. When Nisha Rhymer, Giselle’s old tormentor, appears and sends Giselle spiraling into panicked fear—leaving the frightened woman convinced she can only depend on herself to stay protected from Nisha’s latest threat—Master Chance must fight to make Giselle finally understand it’s her total trust in Chance that can free her to give her Master the most rewarding submission of all.
You'll stay up all night reading this erotic butch/femme, dominance and submission, opposites attract romance...ice cubes and a cold washcloth recommended!
CONTENT This book includes themes of BDSM, dominance and submission, spanking, control, extreme sexual scenes, and other kink elements—as well as a few descriptions of physical abuse (in the interest of showing how rotten our villain is). Some readers may find this content triggering.

5 ★ | Absolutely ADORE this masterpiece. The inner workings, trust and dynamic within BDSM and the relationship is beautiful. Chemistry, angst and the relationship between the two MC’s are everything and more. The representation of what a sub/dom relationship should and shouldn’t be was done extremely well. I cannot wait for the next book in this series. Great work Tiffany!
Wow. I feel so utterly let down by this book. This book claimed to be a realistic and safe portrayal of BDSM and D/s relationships but I found it incredibly dangerous. For one the way Giselle is spoken to by her friends who happen to be doms is so condescending. IRL the sub holds all of the power in a relationship. Yes, subs give full control to their doms but also have the right to revoke that control at any time. Derrick and Cameron making a bet so that Giselle would accept her submissive nature was so uncomfortable for me. Giselle made it very clear SEVERAL TIMES that she did not consider herself a sub and that after the trauma she experienced at Nisha’s hands she would never give up that control again but then does like an hour after meeting Chance?
What really made me uncomfortable was Giselles clear aversion to public scenes and play and also sharing/group play. She describes to Chance the way that she was abused and how Nisha would let others touch her and she was obviously uncomfortable with that. Instead of respecting that and creating that boundary as ANY DOM WOULD DO she instead convinces her that it’s just something she has to move past. SUCH A RED FLAG. I’m not a dom but I would hope that if I expressed trauma from multiple people using my body and an aversion to public play, that my dom would respect that and not put me in potentially triggering situation. In the medical play scene she literally says that she was wet and was upset with her body for “betraying her in such a way” RED FLAGGGGGG
As a sub, this is such an unhealthy perception of D/s relationships. I would not feel safe with Chance regardless of all of her other efforts she does not actually negotiate boundaries with Giselle and puts her desires before Giselles boundaries and triggers. After bashing FSOG (well deserved) I expected so much more but it’s just as unhealthy just in a different way. Gosh I really hope people do not use this story as a baseline for safe, consensual, respectful BDSM.
Okay, so I was with it until the first punishment scene, which isn't till around 85% or so. It wasn't appalling or anything like that. I just felt it was so UNDESERVED. Elle has a stalking abusive asshole for an ex. In this scenario, she ran away. Trying to protect herself and her loved ones. Due to not trusting her Dom and the other Doms of Eros. She was punished. I don't think it was fair AT ALL lol Besides that and the crazy fucking ex who deserves life in prison...
I think book did a good job on laying out the D/s lifestyle. Everything was very consent and communication driven.
Being from FL it was the first book I've read where I was like "I know that place" hahah so that was cool.
This is my first book by Tiffany E Taylor, and I enjoyed this book immensely. There was a strong connection between the MCs, with amazing chemistry. The angst was natural and remedied timely and sufficiently. I will be reading more books by this author as well as waiting impatiently for the next book in this series.
Tiffany’s written a good book, showing the dynamics of a D/s relationship. The way she has Chance bring the sub out of Giselle was interesting to read. Their interactions will keep you reading until late into the night, so you might want to start this one on a day off. The scenes are steamy and my squirm rating is a 9 on this work. Your significant other will appreciate Tiffany’s work, too! Wink..Wink
I think it was around 16% that I knew I was hooked. I read this book in one sitting. Not only was it extra spicy, but also informative about how healthy relationships can be in and out of the scenes at Eros. I loved Chance and Giselle's chemistry as well as all the individual MCs and secondaries. I can't wait for more.
In the world of bdsm, safety and trust are not only healthy but required to have a meaningful D/s relationship. Stunningly written, we are immersed in the bdsm universe, thoroughly open and honest communication of boundaries, expectations and experiences, and beautiful, intense and entranced MCs are some compelling reasons to read Trust In Me. The set up for the next was awesome too!!
Wow what a great read. I can’t wait for vol 2. I loved all the characters. The way they were in Eros or vanilla life. The way it was simply effortless to separate the too. I would definitely recommend this book. You’d be nuts not to read it. I hope we don’t have to wait too long for part 2.
I loved this book and I love the characters even more. I love Chance and Giselle and I can’t wait for Kori and Coco story. This left me breathless and begging for more I couldn’t have loved it more. Tiffany you have once again exceeded my expectations and rose the bar so much higher. I can’t wait for the next one well done you beauty xx 💖💖💖
There's a lot to like here. A story of a "damsel in distress submissive" with tragedy in her past. A "heroine-dominant" coming to her rescue. However, I find the lack of actual conversation regarding consent concerning and appalling, regardless of the book's claim that consent is the most important thing in this kind of relationship (see below for specifics). S P O I L E R --- B E L O W --- To me, Chance is a tad egotistical and arrogant, despite her care and love for Giselle (which I'm not disputing). But nowhere do I find an actual conversation about consent to public nudity, public sex, forced orgasm, as well as the whole medical scene. Chance just decides she's going to take Giselle to the medical room to be part of the demonstration even though it's obvious Giselle is uncomfortable with this entire scenario. And what's with this "Chance owns Giselle's body" so that gives her the right to Giselle's body whenever? Where was the consent to that? Maybe those conversations are "assumed", but I find that sloppy. If consent is as important as the author claims it to be, it should feature more prominently. If I identified as a sub (and I don't, not wholly, I'm a switch), I would be put off by the attitudes of these Doms who think they can do whatever they want with and to their sub without the sub consenting to such an arrangement, which I find lacking here.
Beyond this, I did still find the story worth reading. There isn't a whole lot of real F/F kink aware BDSM stories out there. I don't count the ones that look like they were written by a 16-year-old (wank fests less than 100 pages) (I don't buy them either).
If you can get past the inconsistencies and oddities, it's still worth reading.
This was nooooot good. Like 19 days to bring myself to finish because I bought it not good. And I have many many issues. First is preference, kitten drives me UP THE DAMN WALL. Second, I don’t believe that chance *actually* had consent to do half of what she did. Your partner tells you she’s TRIGGER WARNING abused by an ex and multiple people and that pain was used in the extreme, so you’re solution is to involve a punishment with not only other people but also pain? That’s not how that should have been handled AT ALL. No fucking wonder she struggled to trust. This was supposed to be an example of what a healthy D/S relationship is, while they are multifaceted and some are more extreme than others. I would say this was far from healthy…..I will be reading the second one though because now I’m fucking invested in Kori and coco BUT she calls her sugar instead of ~kitten~ so hopefully it won’t suck as much
Giselle is a leading hair stylist and partner of an exclusive salon. Her three partners are all into the BDSM lifestyle, but Giselle, having been abused by a former Dominant partner, refuses to re-enter that life. That is, until she meets Chance, a butch Dom and owner of Eros, a BDSM club. But given her past, learning to trust Chance is Giselle's biggest challenge, especially since her ex keeps popping up unexpectedly to threaten her.
This book read more like a D/S or BDSM manual (especially the first half) and less like a novel. While I kept reading that Giselle has a "submissive soul," we didn't really get a sense of what being a submissive satisfied in Giselle. Instead, all we got was fear and trepidation. I wish there had been less instruction about the D/S life and more understanding of why it works for people in it.
Wow. Just wow. This is a butch/femme, D/s story I had no idea I’d enjoy as much as I did.
BDSM themes can be tricky to pull off, especially with how complex the lifestyle can be — but Tiffany really does her homework here. The main characters are layered and compelling in both their vanilla lives and their dynamic, and I appreciated the clear distinction between the two. It makes them feel more real, more relatable.
The supporting characters? A hit. I’m definitely looking forward to reading more books in this series.
If I had one tiny wish — it’s that the intimacy and spice between the MCs outside their D/s scenes had a bit more space to shine. But to be fair, Tiffany makes up for that beautifully in how Chance verbalizes all the things she wants to do to her sub. 🔥
If you're looking for an intense BDSM read with a butch/femme dynamic and a happily-ever-after, this one's for you.
I was so looking forward to reading this book, but it fell apart as I read...
This book seems more like a vent for the writer than a story, and that's fine really, what I don't know is fair to me is that you mention other works and then trample on them because you don't think it's fair or correct the way the writer carried it out.
I understand your point of view and I agree that sometimes BDSM themes are given incorrect visibility, but please I feel like you ruined what could have been a good story. I felt this book was more informative than a novel and it felt more like a scolding than a lesson, with the constants:
-A submissive should or shouldn't... -A dominant should or shouldn't...
Anyway, I was only expecting a story and not something to be taught.
This is a very well written book that I also learned a lot about the BDSM lifestyle from. The domestic violence was handled well. I very much appreciate the author putting in a trigger warning. I strongly believe it's the right thing to do whenever there is a possibility of triggering someone. It makes me respect and trust the author and publisher more. It's a sweet romance with intriguing characters. I liked the ending and can't wait for the second book to come out. I have not read this author's work before but I will be looking for more of it now. I am very glad that I read this interesting book.
Hallelujah to a BDSM book that depicts a more accurate peak behind the curtain. I do love a butch/femme dichotomy, and the two together are steamy hot. There was a lot of narration regarding dungeon etiquette, scening, negotiations, play, and feeling safe to explore desires. Looooovef that. And then there were the pages shining a light on the difference between D/s and abuse and those were hard to read. Overall, a good book to dip your toes into the water of some playtime.
This is a very emotional story that is so beautifully written. Giselle has been through a very traumatizing ordeal at the hands of her ex. Chance Harmon wants nothing more than to show her how fulfilling a relationship with her can be. It will take a lot of patients and understanding to gain Giselle's trust. I really fell in love with these characters and can't wait for more in this series. I learned quite a bit about their lifestyle and it intrigues me.
This was a great book about the dom/sub relationship. If you ever wonder what it would be like it's almost like a how to guide and what to expect. Everyone relationship will be different and everyone will view what's right and wrong but the main point is open and honest communication is what's required to make the relationship work. I can't wait for book two to come out.
Tried to read this...piece of writing....doesnt even have the worthiness of being called a novel and a book. And I was disgusted and therefore abandoned. Women using other women, and abusing, just like men do. Looking at them like sex objects , shallowly... disgusting. Author said ugly things about 50 shades of gray, but if this is a book written truly by a woman about women...I m disgusted even more.
I don't even know where to start, this book was incredible, I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between Chance and Giselle is *chef's kiss*. I was drawn in by the friendship between Giselle, Cameron and Derrick, it felt so real and relatable. Not to mention the spice between the MCs is off the charts. I highly recommend checking this out if you're looking for butch/femme, kink and eroticism!
I would love to see this made into a movie. I watched all the Fifty Shade of Grey movies and just knew that life style was not something I wanted to explore at all but this book may have changed my mind a little. It was very well written and the explanations for why things were done certain ways in the D/s relationships make sense. To let someone in who is a real partner would be a blessing. I would have to say no to the spankings though lol
One of the most extraodinary books I've ever read. Trust in Me is not just an incredible story of learning to trust after experience severe trauma but is virtually felt like a masterclass in what a true Dom/Sub relationship should involve.
I absolutely loved Trust in Me and absolutely cannot wait for the next installment of the Dominants of Eros.
I was blown away! The author hooked me on the second page and I couldn't put it down. It is about a dominant/submissive relationship. The main character has been damaged by a previous abusive partner and we get to join her on her journey to recovery. Tiffany is a fantastic writer
I have enjoyed Thai authors previous books and this one is no different. I love the healthily D/s relationship displayed in this book. Plenty of spice and I can’t wait for the next book(s) in the series.
Not a very long book. I finished it in an evening. The weird thing was I felt like I had read small parts of it before almost word for word, but I know I haven’t read this author before. Was it ever fanfic?
I devoured this book and I desperately need part two. This book is amazing and the story is a good and the spice. I laughed, I cried more than I’d like to admit and my wife enjoyed me reading it also! Haha!
* The pacing felt disorienting. * I disliked the characterisation of the Doms, cause they felt so empty. * Baffled that therapy was not mentioned ONCE, despite the serious trauma Giselle had experienced. * The one star is only because I'm biased towards butch/femme pairs.
Step by step, Dom taking care of her Sub after her Sub/Giselle was abused by former Dom. Don’t piss off a Dom. I’m sure the next book will be equally entertaining.
