You've Got a Mail: 5 Days since I died

Rate this book
One night, Raj receives an email from Priya with a video attachment. As he plays the video, Priya reveals that it will be 5 days since she died when he watches it. Two more emails follow, each containing videos from Priya, who tragically passed away just 5 days ago. In these heart-wrenching confessions, Priya admits to being in love with him and living in the house opposite their window. She admits to secretly watching him from her window until the Christmas party, when his girlfriend intervened.

Raj's girlfriend, who used to visit him every day, had been threatening Priya, following her relentlessly, and even making death threats. The last video ends with Priya accusing Raj and his girlfriend of being responsible for her death. However, there's just one problem—Raj doesn't have a girlfriend. In fact, a few girls had visited him for the Christmas Party.
Was it suicide or a murder? Who was behind Priya's death? Why did she record videos before her demise? As the investigation unfolds, the police take Raj and his friends for an interrogation, and a relentless cop named Viyanthara starts her investigation.

In this gripping guessing game, "You've Got a Mail," secrets are unveiled, motives are questioned, and the line between love and obsession blurs. Raj and Viyanthara embark on a treacherous journey to uncover the truth, as each revelation exposes darker layers of deception and betrayal. Will they find the real culprits behind Priya's death before the web of confessions engulfs them all?

This book was incredibly gripping from start to finish. I picked it up without many expectations, but it completely exceeded them....

The biggest highlight is the plot. The twists are unpredictable and brilliantly executed...I can confidently say that it’s nearly impossible to guess the ending. The identity of the murderer and the truth behind the victim are revealed in a way that keeps you hooked till the very last page...

The writing style is simple, smooth, and highly engaging, making it a fast read. It’s the kind of book you can easily finish within 24 hours because once you start, it’s very hard to put down...

The author has done an excellent job building suspense and maintaining tension throughout. Each character feels purposeful and well-developed, adding depth to the story...

Also, it’s refreshing to read such a well-crafted thriller by an Indian author, definitely deserves appreciation...

Overall, a highly engaging and addictive read. Strongly recommended for anyone who enjoys thrillers with unexpected twists.

Definitely a 5 star read ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A crisp short thriller. It is about Raj, Sarath, Priya and Deepthi. What happens in their life and how a mail changes everything.

I liked the way how the characters have been explained.
If you are someone who love thrillers and mystery, then this is for you... At times the book does give a feel that it was written keeping in mind about the movie rights.

The book can be easily read in a day. Kudos to the author for a new and interesting concept. Keep writing and make your readers guess more.

The author masterfully maintains a tight grip on the suspense, refusing to tip their hand until the final pages. What makes the reveal truly impactful is how convincing it feels; rather than relying on a far-fetched gimmick, the resolution is earned through subtle, well-placed clues that make the conclusion feel both shocking and inevitable.
If you enjoyed the pacing of this story, another of the author’s works, *Can You Find Her*, is equally gripping. It mirrors the same high-stakes tension and meticulous plotting found here, making it another highly recommended read for anyone who appreciates a well-executed mystery.

A complicated story

The story starts off well but gets complicated as it moves ahead Too many characters are thrown in which makes the story insipid and illogical. The story ends as a damp squid.
Could have been treated better.

Just amazing! We always rave about foreign authors, but what about our own thriller writers? This one kept me hooked throughout. Can’t wait to pick up the next book by the author.
