Candace (h) comes to the Ozarks intent on studying aquatic wildlife, never thinking that she’ll have a wildlife encounter unlike any other when she meets Dominic (H) in a local dive bar. She finds herself drawn to him and though things heat up quickly between the two, Candace had really been looking for a fling and not anything more. Dominic can’t help but thinking about Candace and wonders if perhaps she’ll be the woman to whom he reveals his lion shifter side. As the leader of the lions, Dominic is made aware of a threat to human by rogue shifters and he realizes he’ll have to come to Candace’s rescue when she caught in the middle of the intrigue. Ultra-hot and steamy shifter romantic quickie with a side of danger.

This is book one of the Alpha’s Shifter Growling Desires and the main characters are alpha lion shifter Dominic and Candace who is in the Ozarks to get a head start on her graduate work. She has come to study river otters of the Ozark area, who help maintain the health and balance of aquatic ecosystems. She has rented a cabin, but first she wants to have a night out and find a man to have some fun with, she has spent years working hard to get to where she is now, and she deserves a break. She ends up in a bar and can’t help but notice the man in one of the booths and it turns out he spots her as well and buys her a drink. She walks over to Dominic’s table and soon has him back in her motel room for a night of glorious sex! She can’t get settled into her work the next day, with memories of their night together distracting her, nor can he. He is at a meeting of his clan when the subject of a group calling themselves GCA, Great Cats Alliance, comes up. The group are cougar shifters and they want humanity to learn about shifters, but they also believe themselves superior to humans. They are not even a class of great cat, such as lions and tigers, using it to make themselves more important than they are. They have rented out all the cabins around Clifton Cove and Dominic races away upon hearing this, as he knows this is where Candace was heading out to for the week.
He arrives stealthily, parking half a mile away and then hiking in, finding her outside her cabin looking at nature. She comments on the huge cougar tracks she had seen and how big a group there was, when normally they are solitary as adults unless mating. What she doesn’t realise is that they are shifters and thus much bigger than their real animal counterparts. Luckily he is still there when a group of them come out of the woods and try to attack her. He pushes her and tells her to get inside, whilst he tries to speak to the cougars and get them to leave her alone. They aren’t the smartest and don’t realise who exactly he is, nor what he is! He soon subdues them and they race away, leaving Dom to have to fetch his spare clothes and hope Candace doesn’t notice any differences. Of course, she is too smart not to finally realise this and he ends up revealing his true self. So she will allow his friends to come and watch over her when he can’t. They need to know what the GCA are up to and what plans they have to reveal themselves to humans, so they can put a stop to it. Everyone tries to figure out a way to stop what he GCA have planned, but it is Candace who comes up with a brilliant plan, with a little help from her circus parents! Hot and steamy from the offset with a great pairing coming together, with the human side helping out the shifter side as a problematic hate group come to upset the local festival. Good mix of magic and fated mates, loving the plot used to foil the GCA at the end, Candace with her parents save the day. I look forward to reading the rest of the series and can recommend it to all who love a good shifter, fated mate tale. This is a wonderful read, great characters and plot that will hold your attention throughout
Candace had come to the Ozarks and was intent on studying everything she can to prove what she believes the evolution of the animals over the years; she is sure that the given information is not correct and is determined to show what the variances have been caused by.
Then after she had competed all of her studies, she had taken one night off and had met Dominic and she the connection between them as they had talked and then gone back to the hotel had been simply phenomenal and they had come together so completely it was obvious that they were very special indeed.
Then as she had gone about to continue with her thesis and had been staying by herself at an out of the way shack, she had been nearly attacked by three cougar shifters which was most surprising as they did not usually travel in groups and most especially not in this area. Dominic had come to her rescue and he had sent the shifters off as he himself had shifted into his lion form.
The interaction that was on felt between the couple when he told her of his true abilities had not in anyway made her feelings change and even his own tribe of shifters had come together and had wished both him and his mate well, it was apparent that he had found his Fated Mate and this was a profound thing.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

Taming the Lion's Desire was a great start to the Alpha's Shifter Growling Desires Series. I am a huge fan of Amelia Wilson and she never fails to entertaining me with her paranormal stories. Amelia is the first author to introduce me to a shifter world beyond wolves and it has been quiet the ride ever since. I have read countless books by her and there has not been one I didn't like. The plots that Amelia deliver are intriguing and fun with lots of action and plenty of spicy scenes to keep the story steamy. Both Candace and Dominic are wonderful characters who are perfect for one another. They share an intense chemistry that is there from the moment that they meet.
Candace and Dominic find themselves quickly in one another's arms shortly after meeting. These two can't stop thinking about each other and the night of passion that they shared. This was a fantastic read and the main characters were perfect together and they had to overcome issues that came up so thy can get their HEA. Candace is a human thats come to Ozark to study the Aquatic wildlife and finish her thesis and decides to go out to a dive bar to have a wild night for once in her life and when she see’s the most sexiest man alive and she is drawn to him and they have the most perfect night together but now Candace wonders if one night will be enough. Dominic is a Lion shifter and alpha of his pride and with everything thats happening in his town has him on edge and so he goes to the bar where he see’s the most gorgeous woman and he instantly know she is his mate and they connect in such a way and have a fantastic night together that he knows he cannot let her go an d when she is targeted by the Cougars he saves her life but he had to show his true self to do so at she is a little scared at first but its only because of the attack not his lion. Now they must work together to stop the Cougars from exposing shifters to the to society and with her families help will they succeed. Does it all work out in the end, get this book to find out.

Part of the Alpha’s Shifter Growling Desires series it can be read in under an hour Candace is determined to study marine (water fowls) biology, the best place to study is The Ozarks and deciding to go out for one more night of fun she sees a very impressive man at the bar, she can’t keep her eyes off of him but she isn’t a one night stand kind of girl. Dominic sexy as all get out lion shifter out having a drink when he sees his mate, she is beautiful, she is everything he has dreamed of and deciding to have one night is what they told themselves but as fate would have they couldn’t have just one night so when he learned of the couguars plan he was forced to tell her who he or what he really was but will she accept all of him, will she still feel the same, will she stand fight with him, will they win whomever they are up against, and can they find happiness along the way?

The night of fun is amazing and they have a strong connection. When a group of cougar shifters in the area decide to make trouble Dominic has to tell Candace who he really is. When the cougars make a plan to out shifters to the human population, it is Candace who comes up with a plan to try and stop them. This hot and steamy read is full of action, adventure and drama. Well written, you will certainly be hooked from beginning to end and it is a great start to the series. I look forward to the next one.

They share an amazing night together before she starts looking into her research. When Dominic calls her and finds out what she has found he fears for her safety and goes to her. He ends up revealing what he is so he can keep her safe. Will Dominic claim her for his own? Will Candace stay with him?
This is a great story that will draw you in from the first chapter on. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

Dominic is a lion shifter and Candace is a graduate student studying water fowl in the Ozarks. They meet and can not keep their hands off each other and are fated mates. He needs to stop a possible war and also to protect Candace from possible vengeance as he wants her to be his. The characters are powerful and the storyline is explosive with drama, danger, entertaining situations, twists, revelations, steamy moments and more that kept the pages turning. Perfect ending that brought it all together. Well done.

What a sweet story! One that I really enjoyed its a great story but with a twist. The characters are captivating with great chemistry. It's full of romance and passion! I especially enjoyed the part that has a carnival show, this will bring smile to your face, they have the sweetest relationship, but there is one thing I wish and that is that there was more to the ending all though I enjoyed the time spent on their relationship because it was such a delight but I wish there was more at the end. Overall this is a great story in this romantic series which l enjoyed and I'm excited to read the next book.

Candace decided that before she went out in the wild she would have a one night of fun, she was working on her thesis for her aquatic biologist doctoral. She used to be in the circus with her family, met Dominic at the bar and went with him for the one night. Dominic realized that she was it for him after that one night but he stopped the cougars from attacking her. Had to show her what he was, she used her family to stop the plan the cougars had on outing the paranormal society. Good book!.

Alpha's Shifter Growling Desiresa is a new series from Amelia Wilson. We get the beautiful story of Candace and Dominic, he is a lion shifter and she is just a human. They decide to work together to prevent a shift war from breaking out. Their story is amazing and he as the leader of the Lion Shifter North America protects his people from the woman he loves and wants to start a family with. This exciting and steamy story is highly recommended to read.

This story is just non stop heat right from the start.
These two burn up the sheets continuously, their attraction is instant and totally hot.

A thoroughly enjoyable read with characters whose warmth reaches you on every page and with hot, steamy moments that captivate you from the start. This steamy book is full of action, adventure and drama. It is well written and I guarantee you will be captivated from start to finish. Dominic and Candace love story. Steamy ! Steamy! Steamy! Candace is a human woman that mates with a lion shifter and helps him stops a shifter war. She's intelligent and strong. Dominic is the leader of lion shifter for North America. He's protective of his pride and the human he plans on mating. Enjoyed reading this steamy story.

Dominic and Candace’s story puts a new spin on keeping the shifters from being found out by humanity. It’s hilarious, irreverent and ingenious. It’s the pretty perfect for the paranormal romance genre and not one I’d read before. 4✨’s for well thought out characters and storyline believability.

Candace decides to give herself a night out and have a one-night stand. She sees Dominic at the bar and he doesn't look happy at all. They have an absolutely fabulous time together and both want to see each other again. Candace doesn't know that Dom is a lion shifter and the king of the pride. But there is trouble ahead. Enjoyed this one.

What a great way to start a new series. Dominic and Candace are wonderful characters and their attraction is immediately obvious from their first meeting. I found the storyline quite fun to read and really enjoyed Candace’s solution to the ‘great reveal’. Good book.

Fantastic shifter romance with Candace and Dominic, Candace is in the Ozarks to study one night in a bar she meets the man of her dreams Dominic she’s never had a one night stand before but there’s a first for everything. Sorry guys no spoilers I loved this story and the characters and I can’t wait to read book 2 and I highly recommend this book.

Not one of the better reads
I really don't know what to say about this book📗. It must be a matter of taste because to me this was a soft porn read. I was expecting more romance a story line however other than the drama concerning a rival clan,it fell short. The constant sex between the two main characters was the major take a way!

aquatic waters vs Lion king in this crazy attraction that has a life of it's own until it's not. There are other shifters that mean harm. exposure and causing action in the story line. good read.
