To save her sister, newly-witch Elizabeth Vossen makes a deal with the ruthless, ice-cold Unseelie King to break his wintry curse. The moment his freezing fingers wrap around her wrist, she’s whisked to the faerie realm – and to her dismay, her magic goes dry.
In a terrifying kingdom of wicked tricksters, Beth must regain her powers with the Winter King Alistair, himself – the most wicked of them all. But there’s more to this brutal, cold-hearted faerie than meets the eye, and he’s as deeply intoxicating as he is arrogant.
But time is running out. As the full moon draws near, the curse threatens to sink its cold claws and never let go. And in this wicked world of the fae where danger lurks around every corner, the king is her only chance of returning home – or staying alive.
Blackmail is a buzzkill…
Bell Vossen didn’t think her life could get more complicated after falling in love with a warrior angel and gaining sinister shadow magic from her evil ancestor. But then the cold-blooded Silver Witch Queen becomes her boss.
The bargain? Bring down one of the most powerful supernatural groups in the world, lest Bell and Braxiel’s sinful secret be revealed. But when Bell is attacked by a black-eyed wolf shifter with mysterious powers that can take down a divine angel with ease, not only is their mission at stake - but the entire supernatural world as they know it.
Bell and Brax must find out how to defeat these lethal, cutthroat creatures – while fighting against their fiery, forbidden desire before it burns everything in its place. But when did Bell ever play by the rules?
Wickedly sharp and even sexier than the last, this spellbinding new adult fantasy & paranormal romance is the seductive second book in the action-packed, fast-paced Vossen Sisters Saga.
A self-proclaimed Cat Lady, Piper lives in the Appalachian mountains with her husband and five four-legged felines. When she’s not writing, she sometimes partakes in wearing a pickle suit. It’s a long story.
I have been waiting for the book with bated breath since I finished book one and it did not disappoint! Though I was heavily focused on Beth’s storyline, I loved seeing Bell and Brax’s relationship run deeper throughout this book as well. Piper is so talented and every word in this book was captivating. I can’t wait for the next installment! (Though tbh I’d read a whole other book just focused on Beth and Alistair because SWOON)
Absolutely perfect continuation from The Accidental Kingslayer. If you were hooked on the first book then you’ll definitely be hooked on The Kings Curse Breaker. It follows Beth and Bell’s story, both action packed and spicy tension filled. I will say I was drooling for Beth’s story line a little bit more. I can’t wait for book three. Time to learn about the final Vossen Sister!!!

* You need to read the previous book to fully understand the story in this book.
To hold herself to her end of a bargain that saved her sisters life, Beth Vossen has agreed to break the curse of the moody Unseelie King. But her magic is new to her and she might not be able to break the curse that could plunge the whole Faerie kingdom in war. In the same time, Bell Vossen made a deal with the Silver Witch Queen and she has to investigate someone so dangerous that her love-interest Braxiel even might not be able to save her if it goes wrong. Both sisters have their work cut out for them and the men in their life might not be able to help them in the end.
Pro's: + The story in this book is just as fast-paced as the previous book, a lot happens in every chapter and the author really keeps you on the edge of your seat for the whole book. Multiple fights and even some politics will keep you entertained throughout the story. + There are a lot of characters in this book, but their interactions are all really well written. With the angels there is some real snark, but of all fronts you can sense the connections between the characters and it really gave this book some depth.
Con's: - Where the first book was just from 1 Character POV, this one includes both Vossen Sisters views and truth be told, it wasn't done very well. It felt chaotic and I feel like Beth's story was rushed to give Bell more page-time. If this could have been just Beth, with her story better written out and then just a bit of Bell, it would have been better for me.
Pffff, this book was quite hard to review. It has some elements that I really like, but the dual POV's where the old character gets more love than the newer, more interesting character. I feel like Beth's story could have been worked out better, now it felt a bit basic and run-of-the-mill. Bell's Story is fine, but there is some drama that could have been avoided quite easily. Therefore, this book is very average, especially in comparison to the first book which had more structure and felt less basic. The cliffhanger makes me want to get into the next book, but if this has three POV's I think I will go crazy.
It’s no secret that I love The Accidental Kingslayer (it was one of my top reads of 2022) and I have been looking forward to this sequel since the second I finished that book. This absolutely gave me everything I wanted.
Bell and Brax are back, working together for the wicked Anna and trying their best to keep each other at arms length so Brax can stay out of trouble with the Dominion. Even though they’re trying to stay apart the chemistry is there and it’s so obvious that they still have feelings for each other. As always Bell is able to hold her own in any trouble that she gets herself into but Brax is always there to bail her out when she needs help. I love them.
We also get to see Beth, who has been taken from the mortal realm to the Fae realms where she is expected to help Alistair Wintertide break his curse. Alistair seems cold but throughout the book we see him warm up to Beth a little, even if he doesn’t exactly want to admit it. The enemies to lovers vibes are strong with these two.
Edit: I was silly to not mention the spice in this book because it exists and it’s fantastic.
I loved this book so much and can’t wait to read more. Thank you to the author for providing me an arc in exchange for my review.
The King's Cursebreaker is the continuation of the Accidental Kingslayer, and I'm actually glad we got a continuation of Bell and Braxiel's story and not just Beth and Alistair's story. I have to admit that I found Bell and Braxiel's story more interesting than Beth and Alistair's, not just because of the romance but also because of the overall plot.
Bell and Braxiel have one of the best partners-in-crime dynamics, and I just love my angles okay (I'm still voting for more Yaz and his himbo energy). Their part of the book was full of plot twists, and new turns, and I just loved their adventures (especially the London part of it).
Therefore, I found myself a bit bored during Beth's part of the story. I didn't think her chemistry with Alistair was half as good as Bell's with Braxiel. The curse-breaking part could have had a better ending, one that made more sense to me (no spoilers). I find myself excited for the next book solely because of Bell, Braxiel and the angels. To be honest, I have no interest in the continuation of Beth's story or getting to know Brooke's.
However, I do recommend reading The King's Cursebreaker since it's a really fun, fast-paced read. I think I read it in two days because it's really well-written. And the spicy scenes were AMAZING. So I would definitely give the King's Cursebreaker a go, and (if you haven't yet) DEFINITELY read the Accidental Kingslayer.
An eARC was sent to me by the author in exchange for my honest review. Thank you so much!
We move from sexually tension in book 1 to giving him something he can feel in book 2.
The accidental kingslayer was on my top 2022 books I read for the year end list. So of course I was looking forward to book 2 duh! Here we go again with the Vossen sisters...we get my favs Bell and Brax with their comedic relief and sexual tension as they navigate working with Anna (Side Eye). Of course Bell being Bell stays in trouble of her own damn making but as usual she keeps Brax on his toes. And then there is Beth who has been taken to the Fae Realm (Good Lord) because here we go with the godforsaken curse! Welp we get some enemies to lover action going on and emphasis on the lovers part. Don't get me wrong we get the hot ass mean dark male, but aren't they always like this before they break backs. I love this series already ready for book 3.
4.5 This was better than the first one for me. The narrative style made it fast paced with less plot-driven-by-communication-or-falling-out-slash-hissy-fits than the first one.
Enjoyable, made me smile, and I want to read the next one.
The slow burn energy was really good in this book with Bell and Brax’s relationship and Beth and Alistair’s.
Tropes included: - forbidden romance, - found family and family - who did this to you scenario
-I loved this whole book!!! I really enjoyed the first one but this ONE!!! This book has all the tension, playful banter, epic fight scenes and I cried…
☾This book has:
-Dual POV (Both sisters) -Dual Timeline -Witches, Angels, Fae, Shifters, etc -Spice (Not super spicy but when it hit it hit)! -Comedy, action, romance -Badass Female leads -Touch her and you die vibes
-Overall: I will be counting down until the 3rd book releases. I was very fortunate to receive an Arc of this book in exchange for my honest review. And this book had everything I wanted! Possessive male love interest, girl power, comedic relief. I would absolutely recommend this series to anyone who loves supernatural, or paranormal romances. Piper has really given us a beautiful story about family, and what we would give for the people that we love.
This book was everything I hoped for and more! Thank you to the author for an eARC in exchange for an honest review!
Unlike the first book, this one is written with a duel perspective. While Bell & Brax are ‘working’ for Anne Crane in the city trying to fish out what’s going on with the Silverclaws, Beth is in the Faerie realm trying to break the kings curse. I’ll be honest, I was most interested in Beth’s storyline because the *tension* between those two *chef’s kiss*.
The slow burn and attempts to stay away from each other between Bell & Brax were absolutely agonizing (but in a good way). But it made the inevitable snap of tension sooo much sweeter 😉
I loved getting to see both sisters grow into their power and learn what they can do with it.
This is honestly such a fun world to delve into & a great sequel in the series! I’m really excited to learn more about Brooke in the next book and see how things develop with Anne Crane (I feel like there’s more there??? There’s more to this witch.). I also really hope to see more of the girls with their mother in the next book. I’m hoping that even though their mom doesn’t have powers like the girls do, she’ll still be able to guide them in the ways of magic and their family history. I need more of her in the next one!
Hi friends! I had the recent pleasure of reading The King’s Cursebreaker and it was such a fun story. This is book 2 in the Vossen Sisters saga and I just love it when the sequel is just as good if not better than the first book!
This is a YA boarder line NA urban fantasy and it honestly delivers on the fun. We are back with Bell and Brax, new found witch and warrior angel, who are on a mission to basically save the supernatural world. Flipping between that story line and Beth (Bell’s sister) being stuck at the frozen Unseelie court with the fae king trying to unlock her magic…things get wild. This book is action packed. I found myself more drawn to Beth and the King’s chapters because the authors interpretation of the fae courts are amazing. I would have loved the whole book to be about them buuut Bell, Brax, and the warrior angel gang were also fun to read about while they kicked some bad supernatural tail.
If you a little confused so far but your curiosity has been piqued, check out the first book, The Accidental King Slayer. It’s so good and full of laugh out loud banter. This author is definitely a new favorite indie and I can’t wait for the next book in this series because guess what…there’s another Vossen Sister. Let’s goooo Brooke!
✔️fast paced ✔️urban fantasy ✔️all the supernatural beings ✔️hilarious banter ✔️enemies to lovers ✔️ YA series

Tropes ✅️Angels/Witches/Werewolves/Fae ✅️Forced Proximity ✅️Forbidden Love ✅️Age Gap ✅️Dual Point of View
This story switches back and forth from Bell to Beth.... 🔸️Bell and Brax are forced to work for the Silver Queen Witch to out Silas, the Werewolf Alpha, or their relationship will be outed to the Divine and Brax will fall. Bell also has to find a way to rid herself of her evil ancestor possesing her. 🔸️Beth is with Alistair, the Unseelie King, and has promised to break his curse. If she fails, Alistair will succumb to madness, and his kingdom will fall to ruin. Beth has a bit of a magic block, so Alistair helps guide her training. Beth soon learns there is more to the Unseelie King than his cold exterior.
I gotta say, Bell did NOT go easy on Brax. I understand she is scared that he will fall and become a demon, but come on. She obviously loves him and did not have to completely break his entire being when she tried to end their relationship. 😭
Throughout the first 2 books, I've been wondering about this mysterious 3rd sister Brooke. I can't wait to see what kind of witch she is and how she plays into the rest of the story.
Ahhhhh loved this book just as much as the first. Maybe a little more even. Thank you Piper for allowing me being on your street team and reading the arc. 😁 I seriously couldn't wait to continue the story after the ending of The Accidental Kingslayer. It picks up about 2 months after the ending of book 1. And once again it picks up quickly and not once did I get bored reading this story. Never a dull moment between Bell and her sister Beth. Both fighting their own battles that are both full of action and suspense. And spice. Oh the unseelie king is another favorite character. Both he and Brax are the "touch her and die" type.
I just loved the overall story and how each sister had to overcome their own things. But man Piper had my heart in her hands during some scenes, I wasn't prepared for what she had in store near the end of the book. But so glad I was able to recover quickly. 😅 And the ending. 😆 poor mom. She missed out on so much in such a short time she was out of the room. I'm so excited for book 3. Can't wait to see what awaits the vossen sisters.
Technically I only read half the book. After getting whiplash from switching between Bell and Beth's stories every other chapter, I started skipping to only Beth's chapters. The problem is that they're in 2 different worlds with 2 very different plots. It was a mess of jarring stories to keep swapping between. It's like reading a chapter of Harry Potter and then a chapter of Twilight, it's confusing and unsettling. And since Bell was simply doing the exact same thing as the previous book and was honestly boring I read Beth's which would've been nicer if she had been the full focus and truly fleshed out because that was a good story. By the very end when Bell and Beth meet up I got a 3 sentence summary of what had happened with Bell and that felt good enough. Honestly if this had only been about Beth it would've been a 5 star book, so I'm kind of sad that the author didn't feel like she deserved her own story.
4.5⭐️ I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review!!
OH MY GOSH YOU GUYS!!! This book is even better than the first!! I loved jumping between Bell and Beth and seeing both of their stories (even though sometimes it jumped at the BEST parts😂). This book is so much fun to read and keeps you on your toes with lots of action, banter, and magic!!! Also the spice in this one 🥵 there is A LOT more than what was in the first book and I was not complaining!
This book has: -dual POV (the sisters) -Forbidden romance -curse that needs breaking -Sisterhood/family -Grumpy fae king -touch her and die -sweet & spicy romance -witches that kick ass and save the day
I highly recommend this series if you want something fun to read with paranormal/fantasy vibes and some kick ass witch sisters!!
The story continues where it’s last left, with Elizabeth making a bargain with the Fae king to break his icy curse.
This followed both sisters—as the threat is far from over. I really liked how both faced challenges and grew with them—without having to change themselves and I loved the LI’s.
One thing—I would’ve liked if more of the scenes between Beth and her Icy king were written.
I can’t wait for us to be introduced to the third sister—and if I’m right, her LI. I really enjoyed reading about him.
But I’ll definitely follow this series and hopefully enjoy as I did these two books.
Thank you Piper for an ARC.

I absolutely loved it!!!! I loved that we get both Bell & Beth’s POV. Bell & Brax are back and working together. And Beth is with the Winter King, Alistair. My new book bf. They are enemies to lovers.. forced proximity, some witchy training. It’s fast paced and it never slows down. It’s steamy and full of magic. I cannot wait for the 3rd sisters book! I’m excited to meet Brooke. It’s hard to pick a favorite sister, but I really loved Beth in this one!
I enjoyed following along with Beth and Alistairs' story while still reading about Bell and Brax. I only wish we could've had a bit more Beth and Alistair. Swapping between both stories, almost every chapter was a little too much for me. I would've liked to have had a few chapters of each story, less jumping around. The story and plot was fast paced and had plenty of action and romance to keep you invested and intrigued. The ending was a good precursor for book 3!
Ahh!!! This book was insanely addicting. I loved how the story flowed around the Cursebreaker and what that actually looked like vs what everyone else thought it would look like. Beth is a fantastic character, probably my favorite of the sisters if we're being honest. Alistair is all the heart eyes and then some. There's just something about broody, fae kings that just are the best. I liked too that the book didn't paint Beth as a damsel in distress or that she would just some how figure it out. I liked that she had to work for it, not just one minute struggling and then next page, boom, everything fixed. This was such a great book, the characters were on point and made to where you couldn't help but love them.
Spice: 4/5 Plot: 4/5 Character Dev: 5/5 Overall: 5/5
Further adventures of the Vossen sisters battling fairies, curses, and the rest of the supernatural world. Feisty sisters, sexy supernaturals and general mayhem.
This is book 2 in the Vossen Sisters Saga. While this book focuses on Beth, I suggest reading in order as there are events that occur in book 1 (The Accidental Kingslayer) that are relevant to this story.
This book took me by surprise. I knew I would enjoy reading but what I didn't expect is to devour it in one sitting. This book focuses on Beth who is Bell's older sister. At the end of book 1, we find that Beth has been transported to Faerie in order to help Alistair (The Unseelie King) break the curse that is bestowed upon him. What surprised me is that we also see quite a bit from Bell and her band of Angels. The book is told in both Beth and Bells perspectives along with a few chapters from others.
I am truly enjoying the way that this series is headed. We still get to see all our favorites but each book looks to focus on one of the sisters. I love the many personalities within the story and all of the characters are very different. There is a lot going on but Piper writes it in a way that it is easy to follow and so enjoyable to read. This series is quickly becoming a favorite and I am looking forward to book 2 when we get to see another sisters perspective and what kind of predicament they are in. This book gets 5 stars from me!
