I love the Christmas kindness town of Holly Pointe! This book really gets you in the spirit of the season. There are so many fun things going on! You just feel joy while you read it. Melinda and Jack's romance and their meet-cute was different than anything that has happened in Holly Pointe before! Great way to kick off the holiday season! Thanks for the ARC!
Christmas Moon Over Holly Pointe is the fifth story in the Holly Pointe series but can be read as a stand alone story, however I suggest reading the previous stories for the entertainment and holiday spirit that each book will infuse you with. Although Holly Pointe, Vermont is known to be the Capital of Christmas Kindness, Melinda is looking forward to sun, sand and margaritas in Mexico this holiday season. Jack is reluctantly waiting to board the flight to Mexico so that he can attend his brother's wedding to Jack's ex. Jack and Melinda are enjoying people watching when it is announced that their flight along with many other flights have been cancelled due to computer issues, they head to the car rental counter to learn that only one car remains which Jack acquires. Jack offers Melinda a ride home which she cautiously accepts when another couple join their trip. Jack is instantly smitten with Melinda, so when she starts talking about all the holiday happenings to found in Holly Pointe he decides to stay on and have her show him around. As the two grow closer, old relationship issues threaten to break what they are building but the magic of the Christmas Moon helps create the new beginnings they are each looking for. This is a wonderful story filled with joy and holiday spirit to make you smile and wish to visit Holly Pointe.
I received an advanced reader copy from the publisher but all thoughts and feelings are my own.
Now that I have been able to read and enjoy the new book of the Holly Pointe Series, the season of Christmas can now begin. Christmas Moon Over Holly Pointe is a wonderful story about the imprompt meeting of two strangers, Jack McPherson and Melinda Kelly headed to a resort in Mexico. At least they were until a major computer glitch takes place with the airlines that ground all the planes with the promise that they have been rebooked on a flight several days after Christmas day.
Melinda’s thoughts is she needs to get a car rental to get her back to her hometown of Holly Point Vermont. Little did she know that was the plan for hundreds of stranded people including Jack McPherson who Melinda had spoken with as they waited for their plane to load. Somehow Jack ended up getting hold of the last car and offers to take Melinda and an older married couple who lives within two hours of Melinda and her town of Holly Point back home.
Through the adventures of getting everyone home, both Jack and Melinda really started enjoying each other’s company. Melinda could see where Jack had a lot of generous tendencies. Of course, he doesn’t make it known that he is part of a very successful family company as he enjoyed hearing about Holly Pointe being the Christmas Capital of Vermont. Once they get into the town, Melinda is able to show Jack some great aspects of what the town offers during the season and what entices all the tourists to come and spend time and money during this time of the year.
To Melinda’s surprise and excitement, Jack finds a cabin to rent out for the rest of the week and they are able to continue getting to know each other and enjoy the season. Little though, does Melinda know but Jack has spoken to her mom and gave her contact info to possibly help her with her restaurant who through the years is losing revenue due to her not wanting to make changes. When Melinda finds out what he did, will that cause issues with their relationship? Does she feel he went behind her back after she disclosed info to him about the business. Is there hope for their relationship to grow and flourish though the start of a new year? This is a good story that you will want to continue to read until the very end.
I received an advance copy of the book in exchange for my honest opinion. This book, as all the other books of this series, is a stand-alone book. I can guarantee that reading just one book of this series will encourage you to read all of them.
Another delightful, stand-alone book in the Holly Pointe series.
Holly Pointe is a sweet town in Vermont that is ALL about Christmas 365 days a year. But boy do they gear up for the real season between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve. Wonderful characters and the businesses they own, are repeat characters in the series. These are the small-town businesses we would all love to seek out and frequent. The townspeople go all out to ensure their seasonal visitors and the townsfolk have a holiday experience they will never forget.
Melinda and Jack spark fireworks, or at least sparklers, on first meet at New York’s JFK. Both are on their way to Mexico to get away from the stress of the holidays. I won’t spoil the cute meet of their adventure getting from NYC to Holly Pointe after their flight is cancelled and there is only one car to be had at the car rental. But take my word for it–you will not want to miss the ups and downs as the two get acquainted on the long detour to their respective plans. Nor do you want to miss the friends they meet along the way.
Kirk brings in a cast of characters and locations that make this story and series a must go-to each fall. And in this book, she also brings in a cast of characters that never would have become acquaintances had it not been desperation for a ride to beat the impending storm that could curtail each of their holiday plans.
The romance between Jack and Melinda is pretty much love-(or maybe intrigued)-at-first-sight-with-reservations, that lead the reader along for the ride as the characters friendship grows on their road trip, and then over the few days prior to Christmas in this special town. The story enables readers to witness the AHA moments for each character, as they experience, together, the magic moments of the season, and realize true love can happen in a few days.
A Plus Five stars for this book, and a hearty recommendation to snatch up the other books in this beautiful, annual, Holly Pointe holiday series.
Another beautifully written book by Cindy Kirk. Christmas Moon Over Holly Pointe is the fifth instalment in Holly Pointe series. As with the other books in this series, this book can be read as a standalone, or in sequence order. As an avid reader, I personally prefer to read a series in sequential order to allow me to delve into the lives of each character and feel that I personally know each of them.
Holly Pointe is known as “The Christmas Capital” of Vermont where it is like Christmas all year round. This little town is such a special place where local businesses and townspeople all do their utter best to ensure that when any visitors leave, they leave with special memories of an amazing time spent in Holly Pointe.
This book is primarily based on the characters of local girl, Melinda and Jack McPherson. Melinda has decided that she would like to spend a relaxing Christmas in the sun for a change, away from the Christmas festivities in Holly Pointe. Melinda and Jack first meet in JFK Airport, New York, where they are each due to board a flight to Mexico. Unfortunately, with the wonders of technology, every computerised system in the airport is down, meaning every scheduled flight has been cancelled. With only one rental car available to hire, Jack kindly offers to change his plans and take a detour to bring Melinda home to Holly Pointe. This is the beginning of a journey, not only a car journey, but a journey into their lives, which I will in no doubt, leave you not wanting to put this book down.
I have to say, that this book is one of my favourite books by Kirk so far, it really is magical, I did not want it to end. A perfect read for the Christmas holidays. A story confirming that everything really does happen for a reason.
I highly recommend reading this book (and all the other books in this series), you will not be disappointed, you will have a permanent smile on your face.
Christmas Moon over Holly Pointe is a beautiful holiday romance that is full of small-town charm. Melinda Kelly who is now a resident of Holly Pointe, Vermont after losing her online marketing job. She is helping her mother with her restaurant, “Rosie’s Diner”, until she decides what her next move will be. She, however, does not want to be in Holly Pointe this Christmas and has planned a trip to Mexico to enjoy some sunshine on the beach. Jack McPherson is at the airport to catch a flight to attend a wedding in Mexico. As fate would have it, there is a computer problem that grounds their plane, much to the dismay of the passengers. Jack is not overly upset as this is his brother’s wedding and he is marrying Jack’s former girlfriend.
In the chaos of passengers scrambling to find accommodations, Melinda meets up with Jack and manages to talk him into giving her a ride home. They are joined by another couple, Lani and Bill, who entertain and annoy them on the drive to the couple’s home. When Melinda and Jack are alone on the trip to Holly Pointe, Melinda sings the praises of how charming the town is at Christmas. Having sold Jack on Holly Pointe, he is open to Melinda showing him the sights and chooses to stay around for a few days. Melinda and Jack’s first encounters were a little rocky but as they get to know one another the attraction becomes stronger between them. Follow Melinda and Jack as they encounter love, Christmas magic, drama and promising beginnings.
Take a break from the busy holiday season and snuggle up with a mood lifting story. I highly recommend this lovely book by Cindy Kirk if you want a relaxing read with a HEA that will warm your heart!
Holly Pointe is my favorite place to spend Christmas. Once I open a Holly Pointe story I know I am in for a good time. This story starts in an airport. Computer issues and canceled flights leave Melinda's plans for a warm Christmas out in the cold. Melinda is ready to spend Christmas away from the capital of Christmas Kindness (and her family and her mother's diner). But it seems that fate has other plans for Melinda. Jack doesn't want to go to Mexico from the holidays, but since he brother is getting married he doesn't have much of a choice. When the airline has to cancel his flight and he can't be rebooked until almost New Years Jack isn't the least bit upset. When Jack is able to wheel and deal and get the last rental car he never could never realize where it would lead him. Jack offers a ride to Melinda since he is going in her general direction. The two seem to have a pretty instant connect and all the people they meet along the way think they are a couple. After bringing Melinda to Holly Pointe, Jack decides to stay and enjoy the capital of Christmas kindness. It doesn't hurt that Melinda is there to show in around. While the two of them grow close, Melinda and her mother's diner are looming in the background. Will all the changes coming at Melinda make sure scared to take a chance on Jack? Will she be able to move forward and find a new path? I promise this is wroth every page. This was another wonderful story by Cindy Kirk that is perfect to read by your Christmas Tree.
We have not been back in Holly Pointe in a while. Cindy Kirk must have amazing recall because she brings readers back and it is like we have never left. The details paint the picture so vividly that readers will remember the last time they were in Holly Pointe and all of the people we know and love. Melinda Kelly is ready to get away. In fact, she is at the airport headed for a Christmas vacation in Mexico. Melinda moved back to Holly Pointe to help her mother with her diner. The diner has been in Holly Pointe forever and is struggling amid the new restaurants popping up. Mexico ends up being a no go. Melinda is able to secure a ride with a stranger to get back to Holly Pointe.
Jack McPherson was not looking forward to going to Mexico for his brother's wedding to his ex-girlfriend. Though the cancelling of the flight was inconvenient, it was not unwanted. Everyone on the flight was rebooked to fly out on the December 29th. Jack decides to spend Christmas in the mountains. Once Jack and Melinda reached Holly Pointe, Melinda had to show him around. With Christmas activities galore, Jack decided to stay in Holly Pointe and more importantly spend time with Melinda. Jack is a good guy and Melinda is falling hard and quick. Will Jack's willingness to help be his downfall?
I absolutely loved being back in Holly Pointe. This book will put Christmas in the air for all readers. The sweet story of a couple coming together is a bonus. Jack knows he is rich and uses that to help people. I loved Jack and the way he melded so well with the community. I can't wait until we head back to Holly Pointe for another adventure.
This loved this book! And the whole series too! I wish there were more books in the series!

Christmas Moon is the latest addition to Ms. Kirk's Holly Pointe series. Melinda decides to fly to Mexico because her mother, her best friend and brother all have significant others and she feels left out. As she is waiting to board the plane she hears over the speaker her flight has been canceled due to a malfunction with the computers. While feeling disheartened about it she meets Jack who also was suppose to be on that flight. As she gets ready to head back home she decides to go rent a car only to find out the agency ran out of cars. By sheer luck while speaking to Jack he decides to give her a ride back to Holly Pointe along with a husband and wife who is going that direction as well. I enjoyed the ease and development of Melinda and Jack relationship. Although it was a short time that they got to know each other it did not feel that way. It is always enjoyable seeing the town of Holly Pointe and how they go all out for Christmas. This book and series gives you the warm fuzzy of Christmas which includes spending time with family and friends.
This is a story about two strangers who meet at the airport while waiting to get a flight to Mexico right before Christmas. Unfortunately their flight is canceled and now rhey have to make other plans for the holiday. Melinda Kelly just wants to get away from Holly Pointe Vermont which many consider the Capitol of Christmas Kindness. Sand and sun are what she really wants, but unfortunately it just wasn't meant to be. Jack McPherson was also heading to Mexico when the flight got canceled, but he wasn't as unhappy about it as Melinda. Jack and Melinda join together for a long car ride back Holly Pointe. Once there, Jack decides to stick around to see what the town has to offer for the holidays. Melinda becomes his personal tour guide and by doing so begins to remember why she loves Holly Pointe. Will spending time with Jack going to lead to much more or will at the end of the holiday season Jack return to his home in New Hampshire? Read to see if anything develops between theese two stranded strangers. Enjoy! I know I did!

I would love to visit a town like this, full of the festive spirit and people who enlighten your heart. Jack and Melinda's romance is sweet, and believable. I recommend this book to any lover of Christmas romance.
I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
This is the story of Melinda and Jack. Melinda was born and raised in Holly Pointe. She was looking forward to a chance this Christmas season and going to Mexico for some much needed time away.
Jack was going to Mexico as well but for a family wedding which he was dreading. Jack’s brother was marrying Jack’s ex-girlfriend. With a computer malfunction all flights to Mexico were canceled and Jack and Melinda along with many others were stranded at the airport looking for a rental car to get back home.
Melinda, Jack and a married couple all share a rental car to drive back home. Jack drives Melinda back to Holly Pointe and decides to stay. While in Holly Pointe, Jack and Melinda turn a budding friendship into something more.
I really enjoyed this book. It was full of Christmas spirit and magic of the holiday. Melinda and Jack’s story is very sweet and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did.
I'm always delighted to return to The Capital of Christmas Kindness. I'd really love to be able to go to Holly Pointe to soak up the Spirit of Christmas. Instead of staying at home with her family Melinda decides to go to Mexico for Christmas. Disaster strikes when the flight is cancelled until the 29th. With no way to get to Holly Pointe until the next day Melinda faces a night in the airport.
Jack was headed to the same place and manages to get the last available hire car. Jack and Melinda hit it off straight away so he offers to take her back, along with a couple who live on the way. Jack decides to spend Christmas in Holly Point to experience all the town has to offer with Melinda. Melinda is delighted that Jack is staying and excited when he asks her to come to Mexico in they're rebooked flight. Unfortunately a misunderstanding between them leaves Melinda very upset and Jack leaves without her. To find out the ending you'll have to read the book and I highly recommend you do.
Love getting to go to Holly Pointe, Vermont to get my Christmas reading in full swing. Melinda is ready for a change - off to Mexico for fun and sand. The capital of Christmas Kindness just doesn't have the pull for her to stay home this season. Jack is off to Mexico for a family wedding - yikes - a tad to close to the heart. Melinda and Jack meet due to their flight being cancelled, bad weather, and only 1 car left to rent. With another couple off they head back home, with Jack willing to drop everyone at their homes in different towns. The adventures begin and don't slow down. Read to see what Holly Pointe has in store for Melinda and Jack. I have given my review freely as an ARC reader.
Christmas Moon over Holly Pointe is a great read for the Christmas season! I had a great time reading Jack and Melinda’s story and catching up on the other residents of Holly Pointe. This book can be read as a stand alone, but I do recommend all the books in the series.
Jack and Melinda start out as strangers at the airport, but their story takes an unexpected turn.
They are both great characters and they have much to offer. I think their story could even go further with some of the hints that are dropped throughout the book.
I highly recommend this book for the holiday season. I even love the games that are played and described in the book! They would add to your holiday fun!
The beginning of Jack and Melinda's journey was interesting because it had a different feel from the rest of the book. I took me a long time to warm up to Melinda's character.
As Melinda guided Jack through the wonders of a Holly Pointe Christmas, I started to get that feel of holiday magic and a Christmas romance. Jack was like the perfect guy. Even when Melinda thought he made a misstep, he didn't. It was her issue to resolve. She repeated her situation to Jack regarding her mother's diner and her mother numerous times.
Their HEA was completely expected. The little twist at the end wasn't. I wish a little more information about Jack and Melinda's airplane ride and arrival to their original destination could have been added to the end. I would give this 3.5 stars.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
If you are a fan of Hallmark Christmas movies, this is definitely the book for you. Melinda Kelly wants to escape the cold winter of Holly Pointe Vermont and hang out on the warm beaches of Mexico. Jack McPherson is going to his brother’s destination wedding in Mexico, which sounds like fun, unless your brother is marrying your ex-fiancé. A systemwide computer glitch cancels their flight and Jack gets the last rental car, he offers to drive Melinda and another couple back to their homes and their romantic adventure begins. This is a delightful romance, but my only issue is that I am not a big fan of the instant love trope. Melinda and Jack start out on their adventure a bit annoyed with each other (well, mostly Melinda), but within days are infatuated. I prefer a love story that takes time for the couple to get to know each other. This is well written, has enjoyable characters and definitely a fun holiday romance. While this is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. I received an arc of this book from the author for my honest opinion.
Christmas Moon over Holly Pointe is a real feel good Christmas story. We meet Melinda and Jack as they are both heading to Mexico for Christmas. When their flight is cancelled they end up travelling together to Holly Pointe. Jack is smitten whilst Melinda is a bit suspicious. But the joy of Christmas is such a powerful force there is no option but a wonderful holiday for them all. This is another wonderful visit to Holly Pointe and I'm a sucker for a feel good Christmas story. And Lani and Bill were great side characters!
Another 5 star read for me from Cindy. I can't wait for what comes next.
Melinda and Jack are waiting for the same flight to Mexico for Christmas. One to get away and one for a wedding. Their flight was canceled at the last minute. Melinda was disappointed, but Jack is happy that he didn’t have to go to the wedding. Jack rents a car and invites Melinda to ride back home with him. On the way to Holly Pointe they connect. Jack ends up booking a room in town through the end of the year so they can get to know each other. A misunderstanding drives them apart, but Melinda realizes that and reconnects.
This is a beautiful love story teaching us that you need to not jump to conclusions.

Melinda meets Jack at JFK when their plane to Cancun gets cancelled and he gets the last rental car at the airport. He drives her back to Holly Pointe, and he decides to stay there instead of going to his cabin in New Hampshire. Jack and Melinda get to know each other and spend the holidays together. When Jack interferes with Melinda's mother's diner, Melinda gets upset and cools things off with him. She decides that he is important to her and meets him in New York and they fly away to Cancun on their new flight.

Holly Pointe definitely puts you in the mood for Christmas/Holiday time romance. I really enjoyed the story of Melinda and Jack. While there was some chemistry right off the bat I liked that it was sort of a slow burn and they kind of just came together. The banter on the unexpected road trip to start the romance was great! I felt like it wrapped up rather quickly, it was great, but I just wanted a touch more. Like always Cindy doesn't miss with her heartwarming stories.
This was such a sweet story!! Melinda never would have guessed her holiday would end the way it did when she opted to travel to sunny Mexico instead of staying in her picturesque home town of Holly Pointe where Christmas is everywhere. When her trip unexpectedly gets canceled and she decides to travel home in the last rental car available with complete strangers! This choice was the beginning of her very different ending! As she and Jack begin to get to know each other better sparks begin to fly. I highly recommend this sweet of love and happy new beginnings!
From the meet-cute at the airport to enjoying all the Christmas activities Holly Pointe has to offer, Jack and Melinda's relationship was fun to witness. From believing nothing could happen between them to the hope of a future together, they slowly get to know each other through participating in all the great activities Holly Pointe puts on during the Christmas season. A great feel-good holiday romance that leaves you with a very satisfied sigh.
Christmas Moon Over Holly Point is the latest installment in Cindy Kirk’s Holly Pointe series. Both Melinda & Jack have plans to go to Mexico for the holiday season, but a flight cancellation leaves them stranded at the airport. After securing the last rental car, they make their way to Holly Pointe. The love story & all of the Christmas activities will surely put you in the holiday spirit.
I received an advanced reader copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it for the author.
What a fun Christmas story! When Melinda's "Holiday in Mexico" plans get cancelled, she returns home to Holly Pointe with Jack, who gave her ride from the airport. Melinda and Jack connect over Christmas activities. This was a wonderful story - my favorite part was touring the town with Melinda and Jack and seeing the cute activities and community. I especially liked Jack - his secret acts of kindness, and just his whole personality. What a great book to read this month!
Like the last book in the series, this was a heartwarming story set in a lovely town. I enjoyed the circumstances of how the main characters met and how their chemistry evolved into a strong connection.
The climax was predictable in the sense that I knew exactly what decision would cause conflict near the end of the book. The resolution was enjoyable and overall this is a nice fireplace with a warm beverage type of read.
I received an advance copy and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
I've read all of the Holly Pointe series. Each books is a great read. However I find the continuity a little bit of a problem. Krista hair is dark most of the time then blonde, Dustin retires in the first book but in the second set 10yrs later he's just retired. Faith goes to Gatlinburg because she doesn't want to go to New York, but is now in New York. Other than that the characters are great and Holly Pointe sounds like a great place.
Jack and Melinda found a different way to celebrate Christmas than their plan of Mexico. Joining forces they went back to Holly Pointe for a fun and unique Christmas of family and friends.
What does the Christmas Moon indicate? Read and find out...
After a little challenge they could enjoy the new year in Mexico, together.
