Addy and Debbie's story is wonderful. I empathized with Debbie throughout her ordeal, and I appreciated Addy's unwavering support for her.

Having harboured romantic feelings for Debbie for a long time, Addy is unhappy when Debbie's former boyfriend from high school and the father of her child, Simon, unfortunately returns to town. Addy provides Debbie with much-needed support during this challenging period.

When Addy's affections for Debbie are revealed, all her desires come to life, and the two spend time exploring each other in a new way. However, the initial period of harmony is brief as Simon disrupts their happiness by revealing the actual reason behind his departure to Debbie, which involves Addy and her role in persuading him to leave.

The narrative is straightforward and easy to follow, making it a recommended read.

I’m just not a fan of the style of writing. Hardly any contractions at all. Just not the way people speak. Kinda story telling of more of the past and backstory… as opposed to reading the present. Nothing really wrong with the story just not a style of writing that engages me.

She is the black sheep of the family as she had a baby without getting married so it is a shock to be invited to her sister wedding. She seems to ruin almost everything for her sister and all she wants is to leave again yet she is caught by her ex kissing another woman. Now what? How will it all go? Will she lose her son? Can she keep him? See just what is going to happen for her

The book is about Debby who was a teenage mum and her best friend Addy who had always had a crush on her.
The story itself was ok but chapter 6 was repeated again in the middle of chapter 7 and there were a few typos and plot holes.
The story ended very abruptly, like it wasn’t properly finished. Reminded me of books by a certain publisher who end their books as soon as the characters get together. An epilogue was included but it didn’t read like one at all and left things more open ended than I would have liked.

When Debby is invited back to her sister's wedding unexpectedly, considering the family circumstances she is really surprised to be included.
For you see she is the black sheep of the family, she fell pregnant when very young and had a child out of wedlock in a small community when her partner Simon left to go to college.
She had to deal with the stigma and fallout Andy work every hour she could to support them after her family abandoned her.
Only her best friend Addy stood by her through it all.
But Addy has her own secrets, she has loved Debby for most of her life and kept something from Debby about Simon and the circumstances he left.
So when something goes wrong at the wedding and Debby runs out, who should follow but Addy.
Offering comfort they are caught in a compromising position by none other than Simon who is threatening to exploit it for custody of Ethan.
Does Addy confess all to Debby so she knows the truth about Simon before he wheedles his way back into her life and maybe lose at least a friendship with Debby or keep quiet and maybe see the love of her life get hurt again?
This was such a sweet story.
Really enjoyed this and think it could be one of my faves so far by the author.

Debby and Addy’s story is in their points of view. Debby the black sheep of the family can’t do anything right Yada Yada , even having her beautiful son Ethan out of wedlock! When yet another disaster of epic proportions occurs it’s her bestie Addy who rescues and comforts her , leading to a rather nice kiss…. When her ex Simon catches them both in a steamy uncompromising position, he resorts to blackmail, she’s torn between her feelings for her Son and her soulmate and it’s impossible to choose. All she wants is an happy ever after with the two people she loves! Brilliant writing , very fluent , told with understanding and empathy and I’m sure very relatable and certainly realistic. Excellent weaving and descriptive prose a compelling immersive page turner of a story

Spicyness: 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶

It all goes down at debbys sisters wedding( anna) they both fall into a water fountain and Debby takes off running while Anna goes after her. Quick side note Debby has a son with Simon who found them practically intimate with each other in a barn closet. Simon and Debby have been inseparable since they met when they were kiddos. But change of plans Anna told them both lies to separate them, you see Anna has been in love with Debby for so long. Simon then wants to have Debby and thier son to start a family but it's all for a job position. They blackmail each other and they end up agreeing to leaving things how they were. At the end debby and Anna are together without a care in the world

Excellent

Debby doesn't disappoint her Mum and fulfils her expectations and crashes into the wedding cake so she runs away to hide only to be discovered by her ex the father of her child in a embarrassing situation. Then it gets worse for her.

So the story develops and will Addy and Debby make it will Simon and Debby make it, what is the truth that comes out and well there is a whole lot to this love story and you will enjoy the read and discovery. There are some twists and turns and will you get a HEA

Well read on and all will be revealed.

Secrets Never Stay Hidden Forever -
Wow! That was one heck of a story I just read. This story is an intriguing tale of secrets, betrayals, hidden crushes and self discovery, that I found myself immersed in for a few hours and couldn’t take a break. I really didn’t know what to expect when I started reading the story, but I can say I was pleasantly surprised. If you have never read an LGBTQ Romance, I would happily recommend this book as your first time trying this genre.

I didn't really like this style of writing, too factual. Although the story is interesting, I couldn't visualize the characters' environment.
The image that comes to mind to describe this would be like a dish that lacks a little salt, it's a bit bland.
The copy I received had a few editing problems to resolve.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Debby and Addy have been best friends all their lives. The story revolves around them and their families’ attitude toward each of them. It had some interesting parts, but I got confused a few times and had to reread sections. Like the blurb says, there are minefields to navigate, which made the story interesting, but I didn’t really like or understand some of things the women, their families, and the father of Debby’s son did.

I love the book, it ended on a bit of a cliffhanger so I hope there is more.

In the Amazon version there is at 59% a miss type where the previous chapter is repeated & it caused a missing half a chapter, I have raised this with Amazon & hope it'll be fixed, there was no kiss between him - her in my version sadly missing quite a big part

The premise of the story is very intriguing, but I feel it could've been so much better if it was longer. Have the events develop a little more. Characters were good - villains were definitely heinous, which kept things interesting. 3.5⭐️

Good book

I liked this book. I liked how Addy had always been there for Debby. Then, with Simon coming back, Addy finally confessed everything to Debby, and they both realized that they always had feelings for each other.

This is a very sweet friends to lovers romance. It’s fast paced and touches on various issues like homophobia and manipulation. If you like fast paced sapphic romances you’ll enjoy this one.

This read felt like i was reading a teenagers (poorly written) secret diary.
One star felt rude so ive given it two but i honestly was only able to finish it by skim reading and really didn't feel like i missed much by doing so.

Its a shame. The premise had potential for something good.

How damaging secrets can be when they end in breakups and child custody battles. It can become the worst side of being human . Fortunately Kismet Kaye handles second chances so well

I liked the story but somehow the style of writing wasn’t fully agreeing with me. It is a good story but there were parts that could explain more what was happening.

Thanks for the free copy for an honest review.
The book is written at a child reading level but with 18+ content, it's a tiny story with a convoluted plot, it's awful to read purely from a formatting point of view. There's no build up it's all just info dumping which in the right context is awesome, but this was painful to read. I genuinely felt uncomfortable reading this. Sorry author. In the middle of *** they just started thinking for four chapters like four chapters in the middle of a hot scene NO NO just please NO. Again no build up and the characters emotions don't make any sense I still feel gross. At one point I just imagined that the info dumping was the characters either ranting to themselves in a grove, on stage talking to a support group or at therapy just to keep myself engaged and to add the depth this was lacking. I hated that it was all written in first person. Like okay sometimes that's a beautiful creative choice, but in this it was just a bit gross. And spoiler no spoilers Addy is a fake out B**** sorry but girl grow up. But that's so inconsistent with her other choices and backstory Bruh. Anyway that was not good. I'm sure this has an audience somewhere, so I just wanted to let you know I'm really glad thus is loved by someone even if that isn't me XD
