“The Double is an unputdownable, action-packed crime thriller that will keep you guessing until the very end.”
– Matt Grossman, Amazon Reviewer ★★★★★

In the heart of glitzy Hollywood, a beautiful young actress's life ends horrifically at the hands of a brutal serial killer.

Eddie Ankin, a rugged ex-Marine turned stuntman, stands wrongfully accused of the horrific crime he didn't commit. Determined to clear his name, Eddie must draw upon his wits and daredevil skills to catch the real killer.

Enter Detective Kim Mallory, a smart, yet underappreciated cyber cop, armed with a theory about the chilling murders. Sidelined by her skeptical captain she is assigned to a blackmail case involving a powerful movie studio boss and his movie star wife. Determined to prove herself, she forms an unlikely alliance with Eddie where survival depends on the question, can they trust one another?

This unlikely pair launch into an electrifying, pulse-pounding race against time, battling formidable threats—a determined LAPD, a menacing Russian mafia eager to silence anyone with ties to the murders, and an impending blackmail deadline. The Double is a cool Southern California crime thriller that takes readers on a thrilling high-stakes ride across the dazzling excesses of Hollywood, from the affluent neighborhoods of Southern California, down to the San Fernando Valley's grimy depths.

Jeremy Elice

Jeremy Elice is a Hollywood producer turned screenwriter and author responsible for producing the hit television shows Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Mad Men, Hell on Wheels, Rubicon, The Killing and the mini-series Tut starring Ben Kingsley.

Known for writing compelling characters and high-octane action scenes, his newest novel, The Double (July 2023), introduces ex-Marine turned Hollywood stuntman, "Eddie Ankin," who joins the ranks of resourceful and kick-ass crime fighters readers love like Jack Reacher, John Corey, and Cliff Booth.

His first novel is the psychological thriller, The Strange Crimes of Beatrice Clover, which has been described as a page-turner with a twist ending you won't see coming.

Whether it's books, TV series, or movies, Jeremy loves a good story. When not spending hours alone in his basement talking out loud to himself in strange voices like a madman (aka writing), he runs his production company, Elice Island Entertainment, looking for the next groundbreaking hit.

Most of all, he loves spending time at home in NY with his wife, three kids, and a terrier named Dexter (yes, after the tv show), reading or watching something that moves him.
