Since being crowned the Northern Businessman of the Year 1993, Keith Lemon has been going from strength to strength and now is regularly seen sandwiched between two bang tidy lasses on the funniest show on telly, CELEBRITY JUICE.In BEING KEITH, Keith Lemon - international ladies man and national treasure - opens up and shares the juiciest parts of his life from the last five years; from selling Securipoles in America and travelling the world to his first encounter with Holly and Fearne and dirty dancing with Paddy - and all the juicy details in between. Packed with photos and illustrations, this is Keith's story of success told in his own unique style. You'll never dream of him in the same way again ... Ooooosh!
This is a funny book, but it really suffers from the fact that you have to read it yourself.
This book almost NEEDS a Keith Lemon narration. An audio book would work really well.
Having said that, it is quite insightful. Even though it's written as Keith Lemon, the story does talk a lot about how Leigh Francis has done everything he has done, and talks about the people he's met and made friends with along the way.
It's not a groundbreaking but by any means, but for a couple of days worth of light reading it's definitely worth picking up!!
Unsure how I feel about this book. Another reviewer mentioned that it'd be better if Keith was reading it out loud and I have to agree. I just don't think the humour translates very well and would be funnier spoken aloud. I didn't like the way it was written as Keith would say it either, it just made it more difficult to read. Also as a lot of it is 'fiction'/made up I find it harder to enjoy the book because of it. I had a similar issue with a book Harry Hill wrote which was meant to be a diary of his life however the entire book was fictionalised.
Overall this isn't a bad book, there are definitely some funny moments in it and I liked the chapter where he discussed the guests that have been on Celebrity Juice. However this book will only be appreciated and enjoyed by Keith Lemon fans. I am more of a Juice fan and love him on that, however I was slightly disappointed with this book. If you remove the pictures white space the book overall is very short and so it won't take you very long to read.
This was a light read which I definitely enjoyed. I love the way it is written, I can actually hear his voice in my head.
A few laugh out loud moments, a lot of things made me smile. I love how down to earth he is.
I would have liked to read a proper biography of his, to find out more about his childhood, perhaps find out why he is the way he is (bit crazy like) but I did still enjoy it and find out a lot about him.
I did find however, it included a lot about other celebrities, it was constantly about who he has met etc. Would have liked more Keith information!
Right. I WILL be biased as I LOVE this guy, hes so funny and down to eath, and everything he does is funny.
This book starts out a bit rubbish I have to admit, ane what puts me off from the begginingis its written in his own accent or language should I say. Thats the only problem.with it, but the things he says throughout the book I was literally crying as I found myself reading it in his accent. I just loved it, read it in a couple of days. THIS IS NOT a joke book, it actually does take you through his life, and he has worked for everything he has. I WOULD recommend this to anyone, even.if your not a fan of him as by the end if the book. You will be.
Mmmmm I like watching Keith lemon but his book didnt match up to his standards on his programmes. He has written it just how he talks so at times the "slang" was hard to read.
Still a funny man though! There's a lot about sex in his book aswell!
It was OK. There are some facts included, but mostly it's just telling you about all the things Leigh Francis has done in the character of Keith Lemon. It has it's funny bits, still worth a quick read if you find him funny.
