Emergence: Slow burn epic sf
Descend into a universe of chaos and intrigue with Emergence , the second book of the Eye of the Ocean series. Ensnared by a powerful enemy, Ulanda, a priest of the empire, is trapped on her birth planet Alisim in the middle of a religious war between the Xintan nation and the Hegemony. When her arrival there fulfills a prophecy foretold by the Xintan, Ulanda must make alliances and establish her position in their new world order before the galactic empire's spaceships arrive.
Rit Wilmet, a captain in the Olum Hegemony border patrol, is on the losing side of the religious war, but political plots – and fate – has allied him with Ulanda. Together, they pose more of a danger to the empire than Ulanda alone. At risk is their lives and the annihilation of their people.
