This was a great full introduction to this series and main protagonist, a Washington DC Chief Medical Examiner. The book was well written with an engaging storyline. The mystery was complex and had a surprise, to me, resolution. The characters were multidimensional with even antagonist being somewhat likable. Looking forward to the next installment!
Trip to Grand Cayman Follows Giselle and Andre Back to DC!
Echoes of Death is book 2 of the Giselle Norwood Medical Thriller series, written most outstandingly by Audrey Walker. My reviews are usually pretty long, but I am going to keep this one short and sweet. My favorite character, Hank, is recovering in the hospital throughout this episode. He very nearly died when he was shot 3 times in the chest during the first book. But he's a tough old guy and still does some investigating while in the hospital. Giselle performs an autopsy that high government officials want hushed up, so her superior of the Forensics Pathology department puts her on an immediate leave of action. But does that stop Giselle from further investigations? No way! She figures out that something relating to her autopsy has a connection to the Grand Cayman Islands, in the form of offshore banking activities. So, she heads to the Caymans. While she's gone, the first day, Andre and Levi find out that an assassin and a suspected serial killer are both heading to the Caymans, too. So, Andre and Levi pack their bags and head there, too. I really, really, really like the character if Levi. While in the Caymans, a serial killer and the assassin are killed; a billionaire is found dead from a spear gun spear to the mouth, which the medical examiner and the Cayman police claim to be a suicidal death; and a media socialite turns up missing, but who is being hunted by assassins. When Giselle, Andre and Levi return to the U.S., they have a surprise witness with them, one that has to be protected, and the police, the F.B.I other than Andre, and every government official in DC are not to be trusted. This was a well-written book and I gave it 5 stars. I received an ARC and this is my honest and voluntary review.
While I have not had the opportunity to read the first book in this series, in this second novel we find Pathologist Norwood caught in a maelstrom of corpses and confusion stretching from the Gulf of Mexico to Washington D.C. The storyline is full of action and intrigue reaching into the highest echelons of the federal government. This novel can be read as a stand alone with her friends and colleagues from Book One introduced during the flow of the story. Both the excellent character development and the realistic backgrounds are what we have come to expect from Audrey Walker. The story flows easily through the believable action in this page-turner. I highly recommend it and look forward to the next book in this series. I received an ARC, and this is my honest option of this novel.
This is the second book in the series by Audrey Walker. I am now a huge fan of hers and anxiously wait for the next book in this series! Dr Norwood is a forensic pathologist And she works with FBI Special Agent Andre Winters. In this book they end up in the Caymen Islands. This book was full of nail biting action and has u on the edge of your seat! This book was very hard to put down. It was more complex and political corruption and u see the dark side of Washington DC. I highly recommend this book and this author! It’s an absolute must reaad if u love mystery, thrillers, action and drama books!
Echoes of Death: A Medical Thriller (Giselle Norwood Series Book 2) is my forty-fourth read from author Audrey Walker and the third in the Giselle Norwood books. A 336-page read that I read in one long sitting. Strongly reminiscent of the writing of David Baldacci. An exciting, enjoyable read. I received a free Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
Another solid, recommended book in the Giselle Norwood series, story line characters and good steady action make this a very interesting read. Shame the Cayman Islands policeman was written out ,I believe he would have been a good addition to the Characters.Still a very good book well worth the read and highly recommended by me, buy and enjoy
Never a dull moment in this series. I find this story to be a real page turner that is non-stop action. The repour between the characters is increasing and personal bond continues to evolve. I love this book and if you want action and intrigue you will not be disappointed. I received this book for free and I wanted to leave an honest review.
This series is getting better and better with every book. I thought the first one was good, but this one is as good if not better. I really enjoyed every word, from the start to the finish I didn’t see coming. Couldn’t put it down. Cannot wait for the next one. Highly recommended.
Book #2 in the Giselle Norwood series is a very good read. It’s a fast paced story full of mystery and suspense. The drama kept me glued to the pages. It’s a very good series addition. *this was a complimentary copy and this is my honest review*
Giselle is running for her life throughout most of this story. Is she chasing a murderer or is the murderer chasing her? Lots of thrills and chills in this gripping suspense novel. Don't miss it. Jean, ARC Team

The second in the series is even better than the first book. I literally did not put it down from the time I started. This is a medical / political thriller that will leave you pondering. Really enjoyed it.
Giselle gets involved in another murder and it is quite involved. I liked the plot and the characters. It is quite a thriller and really keeps your attention. I recommend this book and author for all readers.

From the Cayman Islands to Washington D.C., Dr. Norwood, Andre, and Levi are in grave danger attempting to help a "kept" young woman put her life back together again. An intriguing plot, amazing characters, and stimulating dialogue will have you burning the midnight oil. Highly Recommended.
This book begins with Giselle, Andre and Levi in the Grand Cayman Islands at the morgue where they are to view the body of the person that Andre killed in the previous book. Instead they discover the body of Alastair Swann, He was a rich media mogul and was found dead at the hospital as declared a suicide. Giselle took a look at the body and came to the conclusion that it was murder, the victim had a spear lodged in his throat. Soon Andre received a call from his boss telling him to look into the death. While leaving, they ran into the Minster of Health who told him the case was closed. After getting to the hotel where the body was found, the Chief Inspector also told him the case was closed. They weren't convinced and then started their own investigation which had them search for Clarrissa Vogue who was staying with Alastair. They began their search and lucked out finding her. They also learned that they weren't the only ones looking for her.
The next night, they wound up returning to Washington D.C. where with another person joining them, Joey. Upon arriving, Joey was taken to a safe house and Giselle went home. Giselle found out she had been reinstated and had to perform an autopsy on a young girl. What Giselle discovered had her needing to talk with Joey. Once a connection was made, things became dangerous for their group.
To learn what facts the group discovered and how they wound up hiding as well as what was so important that people in high places did not want either Alastair's death or the young girl looked into, then you need to read this book. It will definitely keep your interest.
