Noah the Loner. Winter's stoic stud. A mystery cloaked in rugged allure. His gaze—a challenge, as if daring me to melt his cold facade. And I can't resist.
Bringing sunshine to a frozen town, I sought simplicity. But a blizzardy encounter with him became my true tempest. Why rescue me from the storm and then retreat back inside his shell?
His past holds secrets; his silence is a story. A gruff demeanor that I aim to crack. Dominant dismissals only stoke my submissive desires to crack his rugged exterior and expose the passionate heart that lies within. Amidst howling winds, passions ignite.
Can two souls find a compromise? Or will our age gap and temperaments keep us adrift? Dive into a romance where warmth battles winter's chill.
A fiery transition from foes to flames! Their playful banter gives way to a connection only this rugged loner can provide. A Clean Opposites Attract Age Gap Romance .

As you may be able to tell from the book’s title and subtitle, it's a bit trope heavy and hackneyed. Though, honestly, the tropes advertised aren't huge players in this story. Is the hero a true grump? Not to me. He just comes across as a tight-lipped Texan who's used to getting his own way. Is this an “enemies to lovers” story? No. The hero and heroine are instantly attracted to each other, though both want to deny it—OF COURSE—for different reasons. He's hung up on their 16-year age gap, though if he's as hunky and young looking as the cover model, you could understand the heroine overlooking the age gap! The “enemies” aspect is not real. Another woman wants to stir the pot to keep these two apart because she's hoping to get the hero for herself. I really despise romances that create an artificial barrier between the hero and heroine stemming from a jealous or otherwise meddling third party, especially one where if the hero and heroine just talked or compared notes about their interactions with this known seedy character, there'd be no misunderstanding whatsoever. Ugh! The heroine is definitely a sunshiny person despite challenges. However, I found it ridiculous when she sacrificed prized possessions for what would be very little gain. Did burning her beloved deceased mother’s posters even buy them minutes of heat? Too much ridiculousness, far too trope-y—even if not the tropes listed—far too contrived. Oh, and despite the title, the hero does not own the diner. The heroine does!
I received a promo code for this audiobook, but that did not affect my review.
Cute little story about a rich, successful man (Noah) who is looking to slow things down in his life and a single, diner owner (Lily). Noah is a grump, while Lily is a breath of fresh air and always tries to see the good. Noah decides he wants to stay in the small Alaskan town, and buys the apartment aboves Lily’s diner, not knowing that she was trying to buy it herself. But the real estate agent is a conniving woman who forgets to mention that to Noah. While Noah has no idea why Lily and the town are mad at him, he will do anything to make her happy.
Be ready for some new challenges, a couple of twists and a small town coming together. Watch as Noah and Lily work on their misunderstandings and their miscommunications!

✔️ I don’t understand the title. ✔️ Stop using the word *grumpy* to describe anyone that doesn’t dance like a unicorn and shoots sparkles out their ass. Sometimes, men are just … wait for it … stoic or just rude-natured. *shrug* ✔️ No one is enemies with anyone, so I don’t know how that trope got thrown in the description. I mean there’s drama and dramatics but that doesn’t come from our MCs so I’m un clear. ✔️ Age-defying is actually quite the turn of phrase from the usual *age-gap* so props! ✔️ I can’t say that I enjoyed the narration that much because although I did like Morgan Scott as a female narrator, she did not narrate Noah as I pictured him based on the storyline. Her voice didn’t go deep enough in my opinion. ✔️ Soooooooo, yeah, not a hit for me *shrug*
Noah's new in town, looking for a change of pace from his fast big-city life. He lands himself in hot water with a miscommunication with Lily, who owns the only diner in town. Complete opposites - he's grumpy, and she's a real sweetheart. It's a great little town, filled with fascinating characters. I enjoyed their story, not too long but interesting to read. I felt that the ending was a bit rushed, but terrific otherwise. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Noah is rich, successful and a grumpy man. He is looking to slow things down in his life. Lily is the owner of the towns local diner owner, who always tries to see the good. Noah starts to buy the apartment above Lily’s diner, problem Lily is trying to buy it them as well. The real estate agent forgets to mention that to Noah. Soon Noah finds the town and Lily are not happy with him, and he has no idea why. We have misunderstanding, miscommunication, and twists.
This is Noah and Lily’s story. I found it sweet, and would love more stories like this one. Noah is a high powered executive, moving away from the rat race. Lily is a small town Alaska dinner owner. The two hit it off, but have to work through many issues, miscommunications, and misunderstandings. They are coming from very different places. This is a clean romance. The narration was well done. I enjoyed this romance between Noah and Lily in Alaska. After being dumped by his unfaithful girlfriend in Texas, Noah gives up his business and moves to a remote part of Alaska where he falls in love with Lily who owns the only diner. I highly recommend this clean romance. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Loved this book and read it in one sitting. Noah is a grump and Lily is a sweetheart. A lot of miscommunication leads to the final tear jerking moment when they agree on one thing.
Noah and Lily's story was set in Alaska, which really made it interesting. I loved both the characters and all the people in town. It was a sweet romance, which I don't normally read, but well written and worth the read.
After Phillipa cheated on Noah, he left the Texas corporate world behind to find himself in Unalaska. Lilly and her diner were a breath of fresh air for him. Noah's new life is challenging as he experiences many new things here. But Noah's realtor turns the tables on Lilly when she sells the 3rd floor suite above the diner when she knows how bad Lilly wants to buy it. The realtor also lied about Noah asking her out to dinner. I hope you read his story as you will not be disappointed as Lilly and Noah work out their differences and hopefully find the trust they need to have in order to find their HEA.
