I’m still fairly new to Kaylene’s books and with each one I read, I love every story she creates. She has a way of capturing your heart with her words and she did just that with The Tryst List.

What happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas when the man you had a one-night stand with years ago randomly ends up in your tattoo studio and your tattoo chair.

Peter and Jordan had one hell of a one-night stand which left them both with a decade of heartache and they both never thought they’d ever see each other again so you can only imagine how shocked they were when they did. The chemistry that was there ten years ago is very much still alive, so it doesn’t take them long to reconnect but unfortunately it’s not as simple as reconnecting. These two have hurdles they have to overcome. Will they be able to? Or will the love they have for each other crumble at their feet?

Even though this book brought ALL THE FEELS and ALL THE STEAM it also brought emotions and drama with a few plot twists thrown in there. Excellent read, highly recommend!

5 STARS!

The opening pages of The Tryst List, Kaylene Winter's latest spicy standalone, seems like a magical one night stand with a connection between equally passionate souls. It feels like the beginning of a beautiful new romance, but in the light of day, their story takes another turn. Right couple, wrong time? How could things have gone so wrong?

Jordan Devereaux and Peter Vander have been trying to forget that fateful night in Vegas for way too long. It felt like love to her, but it's time for the talented tatto artist to move on and wash that hot man right out of her hair. She has a sexy bucket list plan that would curl anyone's toes, but Peter has plans of his own for this sultry siren. Leaving her behind is still his biggest regret- how can he make her fall for him again?

I enjoyed the sparing banter between these two and the chemistry that, even after much time passing, could not be denied. They both had creative careers and I loved the imagery of Jordan's tattoo artistry and Peter's bold commitment to being an architect with a green and clean conscience. Both were badasses in their chosen fields.

Overcoming misunderstandings, heartbreak and challenges, these meant to be lovers roll through twists, turns and a few tears before redemption, love and surprising happily ever afters take them to a wonderfully tailor made for them ending... and that ending was quite spectacular. Get your tissues ready!

Of Kaylene Winter's three spicy standalones, I enjoyed this story and these characters the most. Besides the fiesty couple, Jordan's parents, especially her wise beyond his years dad- Jason, really made me smile! I remember them, as well as both Jordan and Peter from previous books. I love reading about creative people and these two fit that perfectly for me.

The Tryst List crosses over into LTZ territory to some degree, so I was thrilled to catch a glimpse of beloved characters from that rockstar world again. Jordan does have a famous brother, after all, *wink*. Her closest gal pals were well known in their own right and along their gorgeous partners in crime, wit and humor were never far behind. Peter's clientele wasn't too shabbby either.

If you love instalove, hot, spicy heat, great characters, family drama and plenty of twists, The Tryst List might be your next romance.

Absolutely loved this story as well as Peter & Jordan. I totally forgot that Jace had a sister Jordan and I can't believe I did. This is a story of instant connection & love that takes you on a bit of a emotional ride of family issues, miscommunication & mistakes. Loved the flirty banter between Peter & Jordan who clearly belong together but need to get through a few obstacles to have a future they are destined to have. So glad I found Kaylene and love all her books as I get sucked in at the first word read.

This is absolutely, hands down, my favorite of the spicy stand-alones so far. I’m not usually an Instalove fan because it’s usually super cheesy. I really enjoyed the way this one was written. I loved that it was a deeper connection, it didn’t feel as superficial as Instalove usually seems. Peter and Jordan’s journey is more on the realistic side which I appreciate. It’s full of ups and downs, some more major than others, but it’s something they have to consistently fight and work for, and though there’s an element of fate, everything doesn’t just fall into place for them. I really enjoyed their love story and the spice, Kaylene knows what she’s doing! You must read the bonus scene too!!! Also, if you’ve read any of the Less Than Zero series you’ll really enjoy the inclusion of that world and those characters. I get giddy every time we get a scene with those characters. It’s one of my favorite things when authors weave their different series into each other like this.

The LTZ world that Kaylene created was an obsession of mine from the very first book I picked up. So much so, that I’ve not just read the series thru but also listened to the audiobooks as they released. That being said, there’s something about these billionaire books that when they started, they just weren’t hitting the mark for me. I realize now, that it was quite possibly the fault of the LTZ world. These two worlds shouldn’t be compared at all, in theory, but when it’s the only thing you know from an author and you’re obsessed with them, it’s very hard to separate. It’s the same author’s writing so I guess I expected the same level, but it isn’t there. I am however a lot more pleased with The Tryst List than any other, so there’s that! :)

I’m just going to focus on everything I liked about this story in bullet points:

• The chemistry between Jordan & Peter was palpable from the beginning but there was nothing insta about their journey.

• The tryst list was a cute way to have these two reconnect and find their footing once again present day. On that note, there’s always been what I would consider more spice than actual story to these books but with this story, it fit and I enjoyed it that much more because it fit.

• Both Peter & Jordan were strong characters that worked well with each other. I didn’t really feel like either one was alpha, making them both alphas. Feel me?

• Peter’s lack of communications, although #twitchy for me most times from adults, actually fit not just his character but the storyline well. His family is toxic. That’s the best way to describe them and he had a lot of hurdles to get past their toxicity and cut the cord. It made him real and relatable to me and I felt for him.

• The plot-points and circumstances throughout the story didn’t just magically get wrapped up in a snap. There’s growth to this story and these characters do the work necessary to forge their path. I believed in them and their relationship.

• Peter can dirty talk me any day of the week! ;) I mean, phew! *fans self*

• This story had a liberal dose of emotion, but I never felt bogged down by it. It didn’t come across as deep angst, just emotional in nature. I appreciate that Kaylene made sure, at least for me it felt that way, the story had a huge heart while also balancing the line of comedic relief.

I’m looking forward to seeing where Kaylene takes her writing from here. She’s shown a healthy dose of growth from the beginning of this series to now and I think the possibilities are endless!

Sidenote: After I finished this book I did go back and take a skim of the last two books with the perspective I have now, three books in, and I don’t know what to tell you, but I felt a lot better about them than I did in the past *shrug* I learned a long time ago that a reader’s perspective in the moment can derail their reading experience one way or the other and sometimes, you’re just not in the right headspace to appreciate something but you might later. Although storyline mechanics are not a thing that changes with time, how a story makes you feel can, and that’s the most important characteristic of a book.

Tryst List by Kaylene Winter offers readers a spicy premise with an intriguing concept. Overall, I give this title a 3.5-star rating. Jordan's quest to experience various adventures before settling down promises an enthralling story. However, it is disheartening that this central theme is not given the attention it deserves. The tryst list feels more like an afterthought, barely explored throughout the chapters. It leaves readers longing for a more in-depth exploration of Jordan's spicy endeavors.

The book had the potential to be genuinely exceptional if the details were not skimmed over. The LTZ world books, known for their exploration of various topics and the depth of time, have always captivated readers. Tryst List, too, possesses the foundation for greatness but falls short of delivering a thoroughly satisfying experience.

On a positive note, the chemistry between Peter and Jordan is undeniably captivating. Their relationship feels genuine, with its fair share of ups and downs. The way they seamlessly blend their personal lives is commendable. The growth of both characters throughout the story adds depth and authenticity to their journey.

Moreover, including LTZ world teasers from the rockstar wives is a delightful touch. These snippets provide a swoon-worthy element that adds an extra layer of intrigue to the overall narrative.

As a reader who received an advance copy, I offer this review voluntarily. While Tryst List falls short of its potential due to the underdeveloped tryst list concept, it still manages to entertain with its engaging characters and their realistic journey.

A second chance romance for architect Peter and Jordan, a tattoo artist. They’d met years previously in Las Vegas where there was a deep and instant connection between them or so Jordan had thought until the next morning when she’d awoken to Peter sneaking out the door leaving her feeling cheap and used. Ten years later he appears at the door of her studio where they both play a game where they don’t recognise the other until Peter makes it clear that he’s know where she’s been all along and now, he wants another chance, but Jordan isn’t interested.

This was quite an emotional and angsty read with a liberal helping of steam thrown in. I did enjoy the characters but at times I wanted someone to lock them in a room together until they learned to open up and talk to each other. Peter was a self-made man who couldn’t escape from his past in the shape of his grasping family. They’d already destroyed his chance of a future with Jordan years before and his reluctance to open up to Jordan about his problems with them was going to do it all over again. He’d only gave the barest explanation for his behaviour and expected Jordan to be OK with that which made her less than invested in giving him a second chance as she didn’t trust him and was waiting for him to mess up again, so their relationship was built on sand. Their chemistry was sizzling especially when they enacted Jordan’s ‘tryst list’ but emotionally they needed to put in a lot of work and learn to communicate. Jordan especially had to realise that not everyone had the luxury of the life she’d had growing up or the continuing support she received from her family.

I devoured this book!! My heart was so heavy for Peter and how his family treated him. The reader really gets an up close view of how the relationship with his parents and brothers shaped who is today, and how he deals with relationships.

Peter and Jordan first met 10 years ago in Vegas where they shared a night of passion with hopes for more. Jordan was devastated the next day when Peter left without an explanation. Fast forward to present day, and they meet again. This time Peter is determined to win Jordan over and begin their relationship for real.
The problem? Peter is terrible at communicating and this causes major issues with trust in their new lives together. When his darkest secret gets out will Jordan stand by him or leave? Read this book to find out.

Also, let’s mention Peter is one of the best dirty talking heroes I’ve ever read. I freaking loved it!!!

Hey everyone, I just wanted to pop in and say thank you for the early love on The Tryst List.

I’ve had this story in my mind for years and always knew Jace’s sister Jordan deserved her own standalone.

I love Vegas and have been going there for many years as a single person, for conferences, for weekend getaways and for the past 20 years, with my husband. We love the glitz and glamor, mostly the shows and restaurants and meeting up with friends.

Anyways, back to Jordan and Peter… have you ever had (or dreamed about) having that instant connection where everything in the world aligns and you know you’ve met your person? Only to find out how wrong you were and have the fairytale crushed?

Jordan leaves her encounter with Peter a little broken and mistrustful and when he reappears in her life is determined to protect herself. She’s hated this guy for a decade, after all but wants to recapture the magic of their night together…just not with him.

Peter, on the other hand, has never forgotten her and knows he behaved badly. All he’s ever wanted is to be worthy of her.

This is the Tryst List - a story of Vegas, one-night-stands and fate. I hope you love it!

This book was a good feel good romance. I did enjoy reading it. It was a nice break in between a bunch of dark romances I had read prior. Great read for something emotional, but still feel good.

This is a salacious contemporary romance.
The Romance in this book is a slow build second chance, with an instant connection.
The book is very spicy. It is full of descriptive spicy deliciousness you can’t get enough of.
The book moves at a steady pace following the FMC, and MMC attempts to rekindle a damaged connection, all while navigating their successful lives. There are heartfelt moments, with lots of miscommunication. The angst is strong in this book
The characters are great, and have lots of emotional depth. The overall feel of the book is a feel good romance, so while there is emotional depth it is still fairly light.
The world building is done cleanly with realistic themes set in contemporary times. It makes reading the story a delight.

This was a highly entertaining read! The Tryst List is my first book by Kaylene Winter, and it won't be my last. I've already added several of her other books to my "to-be-read" list.

It all started with a one-night stand in Vegas. Jordan feels she has found the love of her life, but Peter ruins that dream when he bolts the next morning. Years later, Jordan is single and ready to mingle. As an act of rebellion against her lingering feelings for Peter and to add some adventure to her life, she creates a tryst list. What Jordan doesn't expect is Peter coming back into her life. Not only that, he will do anything to get her back and is fully willing to help her check off things on her tryst list. While Peter is working to make amends, Jordan has insecurities to overcome. Unfortunately, Peter has a secret that may destroy his chance for redemption.

I enjoyed Peter and Jordan's love story. They had great chemistry, and their connection seemed genuine. This story has a fun plot, great characters, insta-love, and plenty of sizzling spice. I loved every second of the Peter and Jordan rollercoaster, and I highly recommend this book.

Thanks to Kaylene Winter and Wildfire Marketing Solutions for providing an eARC. Opinions expressed are my own.

4.5⭐

Kaylene Winter is back in another spicy standalone. This one featuring a face that may be familiar to anyone who has read the LTZ series. As Jace's sister Jordan is the main focus of this story.

And phew what a story this is!! 🥵

As Jordan meets her one true love Peter at an LTZ concert in Las Vegas and he knocks her off her feet and the pair spend a wild night together.

A night that has the relationship-centric Jordan dreaming of wedding bells and the same could be said for Peter too.

Only come morning something happens that sends Peter running leaving Jordan alone, angry, hurt, confused and heading towards a relationship with a guy she doesn't love and her dreams of what might've been with Peter well and truly crushed.

But now eight years on Jordan is single once again and ready to put herself on the line by creating a tryst list. A list full of sexy inspiration including making a video, getting it on in a public place and one she's determined to fulfil even if that means experiencing more one night stands.

However, she doesn't count on Peter returning and putting it all on the line and offering to fulfil all her tryst list fantasies and so much more.

Yet, there's a lot of hurt and trust issues between the pair. Not to mention secrets and if they are to have any chance at more than just fulfilling Jordan's fantasies they will need to learn to open up and be brave.

And with the perfect take on a love at first sight story, great characters. Who developed really well, lots of spice and just the right amount of angst. The Tryst List was a really enjoyable and entertaining story. That I stayed up way to late to finish!

I would happily recommend The Tryst List to all and am more determined than ever to read the LTZ series now.

My thanks to Kaylene Winter for the opportunity to read an early copy of The Tryst List. 😊

What a fun read! Kaylene is a true Spicy Queen.

A fun story that starts with a night in Vegas and leads our characters to run through the what ifs as their lives continue on without each other. Fast forward ten years and countless hours in a tattoo chair to say the things left unsaid.

Jordan is a fiery siren who on the surface seems to have it all- a solid career where she is the top of her field, an amazing supportive family, loving friends and ready to take what she wants.

Peter is also making waves in his chosen field, changing the world one project at a time, but his past and unapologetically harmful family is holding him back from taking what could be the biggest leap of his life.

This couple has plenty of trials to go through with past hurts, communication and trust issues and holding themselves back from truly opening up to each other. Once they find their way and open their hearts it seems nothing can stop them.

I really loved this instalove and was so thrilled to join them on their rollercoaster back to each other. A solid 4.5 read for me!

The Tryst List by Kaylene Winter is book Three in the Spicy Standalones Series. This is the story of Peter and Jordan. Jordan and Peter have a one night stand about 10 years ago where Jordan felt a connection but Peter was a totally different person the next morning. Both were up and coming in their professions. Peter has make it in the architectural world but is wanting to break into more. Jordan has become a very successful and high demand tattoo artist. This is their second chance at love story. Enjoyed.

This book started off with a BANG! I hated the MMC right away and wanted the FMC to thrive without him in her life. 10 years pass and they have both grown up but never really gave up hope in the other. I think this is a second chance at romance book and I loved EVERY moment of it! The spice was superb! The ending wrapped everything up with a nice bow! Definitely will recommend this to all my smut lover book friends!

The Tryst List by Kaylene Winter is the story of Peter and Jordan. They meet in Vegas. A joyous, wonderful time. Then he leaves. No reasons. No excuses. Just ghosted her. So, she rebuilds her life. She’s a well-known, sought after tattoo artist. He’s a green architect, eager to gain his greatest architectural dream…while pursuing the woman he loves.

This is a story about life, love, trust, and so much more! Sweet, exciting, twists and turns…Liked the characters. Thought she was a bit high-handed in her expectations, and the importance of some things. He cared too much for some things…and not enough about others. Both sort of lost their ways! Good read!

These stand-alone books, that link into the world of Less than Zero are such a lot of fun. This latest book features Jase's sister Jordan, a really cool tattoo artist. I loved Jordan's character, so strong, but when she meets Peter she can't help but find all of that questioned.
I loved the way that they were with one another when Jordan was trying to pretend that she didn't remember Peter and Peter was desperate for her to remember him. The tension there was fantastic. As a couple they worked really well. My only slight hesitation in this one, is that despite the HEA that this couple gets, I wasn't convinced that long term he'd really be able to change the way he acted sometimes (trying hard not give anything away there).
It was a good enjoyable read and at times a really quite spicy romance.

A great book with a ten years later situation.
This book had me so annoyed with Peter and his crap at every turn something new would happen.

But jordan made me smile with her passion, and love for art and how she created it for others was fantastic.

The journey the two go on is definitely rough.
But upon completion of Jordan's Tryst List all comes full circle .
A fantastic ending to this story so far.

Swoony, Salty, Siren fun,
Tattoo Artist Jordan Deveroux met her perfect match one perfect night in Vegas.

Too bad he turned into a losing venture when he left in a coldly furious hurry the next morning.

Fast forward 10 years and Jordan and Peter meet again. Gone is the naïve girl who was swept away by the intensity of her connection to Peter. Jordan is a highly respected and sought after tattoo artist. You may recognize her name as her baby brother is none other than Jace Deveraux of LESS Than Zero Fame. Too bad she never was able to stamp Peter out of her mind or her heart.

When they meet again as artist and client she is determined to give him the cold shoulder and protect her heart.

He looks damn good and sparks still fly, however she firmly puts him in the friend zone.

Peter never got over her, never could put her behind him. Now he is back and determined to win our feisty heroines' love. He is fighting demons from his past and present that totally try to derail his effort with Jordan.

These two love so hard and so beautifully!! The fall is spectacular but not without a rocky road.
You will get swept into the fierce connection between these two!!( fans kindle repeatedly).

I love how Peter is all in with Jordan despite her objections.
He truly is a man on a mission to get the girl.

So get ready to swoon as you dive into the sea of love with these two highly driven creative lovers.
You just may need a new tattoo when your done to celebrate.

The Tryst List begins with a chance encounter in Vegas. However, the most spectacular night changes quickly. Ten years after never seeing the man she can never forget. Jordan decides to make a tryst list to explore everything. As fate would have it, Peter hasn’t forgotten Jordan either. He now’s has to find a way to prove that he isn’t the person she thought he was so long ago. Secrets can lead to trust issues, and there are many to overcome. The best part is seeing the LTZ guys throughout since Jordan is Jace’s sister.

Oh goodness! This book brought the spice for sure!!! A one night stand turns into years of heartache for both Jordan and Peter without each other even realizing it. Luckily Peter didn’t give up and their story began again many years later after that first night. This book takes you through their building love story and is fantastic!!! I love the fact that we get to see our LTZ guys pop up here and there as well!!! Highly recommend!!!

Unforgettable night ✨

Jordan and Peter share an unforgettable night together in Vegas, although it’s instalove the timing is all wrong ☹️, and Peter leaves without a trace.
Ten years later and Peter is ready to fix the mistake of leaving, he’s just got to make Jordan admit she still loves him too.
There’s secrets and lies, a few twists, drama, angst, trust issues, regret and some contrasting family dynamics.
There’s heartbreak 💔 and redemption ❤️‍🩹. A real roller coaster of emotion taking you through tears, laughter, anger, and sighs of love.
I loved the snark and the sparks, the banter and the dirty talk.
Jordan and Peter are my favourite couple from this series, they’re flawed and realistic and just so cute to read.

Thank you to the author and The Next Step PR.

I absolutely loved this book. Wonderful characters and fantastic plot. Great world building and easy to read.

Jordan and Peter has one amazing night together in Vegas. Ended everything not on a good note. Now, ten years later fate has brought them together again. Jordan is determined to protect herself from being hurt once more. Peter is not deterred in the slightest. He didn’t forget about her and knows that he messed up. He wants to be worthy of her. I loved their chemistry and passion. They were destined to be together.

Overall I loved this book very much. If you’re a fan of forced proximity, billionaire, second chance, enemies to lovers romance then you are in the right place.

*ARC review* This was my 1st book by Kaylene Winter, and I could not get enough! This was a fun story that came with more angst and secrets than I anticipated from just reading the blurb! Jordan (FMC) and Peter (MMC) took me by surprise in the best ways! I loved how Jordan was a badass woman in a male dominant field, and I love that Peter was far from the typical billionaire than I've seen in other books. I appreciated the drama, even when it made me mad, lol. I don't want to give any spoilers, so I'll say that this was a wild ride that I couldn't predict and I was here for it!

This was a 3.75 for me. I did enjoy a lot of parts about this book but there were some things that didn't hit for me. The start of this book was really good, and I loved how they originally connected and then separated and how they ended up back together. The tension that built up when they were trying to pretend, they didn't know one another really built up the tension making me wonder who would break first. I loved it all and the spice throughout the book was there and steamy!!!

But I will say once the two of them were together there were points in reading their relationship that I found less enjoyable. I think what it was is I really identified with Peter who has suffered trauma from his family and how he grew up while Jordan had a really happy home life and I think at times Jordan didn't understand how trauma can really affect so deeply. Like yes, I get that Peter promised to only tell the truth at certain points but had not disclosed certain things in his past until he was confronted by them. He always owned up to it and apologized and explained it but the fact that he didn't disclose it asap really upset Jordan that I think someone who doesn't understand this kind of trauma can understand. You can seriously love someone and want to tell them everything but some things you still keep to yourself out of fear and trauma. This was a new relationship and yes they loved each other but it takes time to build up that level of trust and vulnerability.

At one point shortly after they declare their love to each other Jordan says there is a level of immaturity in their relationship, and they have to grow more in their relationship before they can say they love each other again. I think that is spot on for their relationship. While Peter was no angel he did when confronted with an issue apologize, explain and try to do better. But I would sometimes feel Jordan's responses were just a little on the immature side.

But when things were sailing smooth in their relationship, I really enjoyed reading the two of them together and their chemistry was off the charts. It was just when their relationship hit bumps and their responses to those bumps that I didn't really enjoy.

I think what stopped this from being a 4 is that I was a little let down by one of the "trials" that was going on in the book. That being Peter's relationship with his parents and the building up we got throughout the whole book to find out what the secret was and how he would respond to his family's constant blackmail. When it came to the wrap up of that all we got for a conclusion was him admitting to the error he made and a resolution to fix it no matter what the professional costs. But we didn't actually read the steps he took and his family's reaction to losing their leverage. It just felt a little anticlimactic to have all this buildup and just get his action plan to the problem but read the carrying out of that plan.

In the end I did enjoy this book for the most part. I found it to be a super spicy book and while I did enjoy the highs of Peter & Jordan's relationship there were areas I didn't enjoy as much and areas I wish had been expanded more.

This book is about a wild night in Vegas between two souls that connect by pure chance. After A magical night, Peter the next morning is acting cold towards Jordan and walks out leaving Jordan embarrassed and questioning everything. Years later after they have both become successful in their respective fields, Peter decided now was the chance to rekindle their connection and make up for the biggest regret of his life. But will old resentments keep them from reconnecting and if they do reconnect will old secrets break them before they have a real chance of something special.
