My Vampire Doms #3

Ouch! My Vampire Doms Built a Scary Dungeon

Rate this book
Whips, chains…fangs. It’s a whole vibe. Something’s going on with my body—some kind of illness. Magical or medical, we don’t know, and it’s freaking out these dominant vampires. Will throws himself into the kitchen, stress-cooking meals large enough to feed a family of sixteen. Xander buys a whole new library’s worth books, searching for answers. When the local witch goes missing, though, our cozy library hideaway loses its protections and is plunged into danger. Sick or not, I have to help. Our enemies are closing in and time is running out. Ouch! My Vampire Doms Built a Scary Dungeon is the third book in a planned six-book series featuring kinky vampires, a heroine in distress, and all kinds of paranormal drama. It was published as Episodes 29-43 of the serial Ouch! My Vampire Doms Keep Biting Me on Kindle Vella. If you want to read ahead or check content warnings, please visit the author’s website.

This third novella in the series was definitely stronger in the emotional relationships than the physical ones, but I enjoyed Autumn, Will, and Xander's journey all the same. I feel like this part of the story was a great bridge between Autumn's introduction and her eventual happily ever after with the two guys.

A large focus of this novella was Autumn and the sickness she began showing at the very end of the second novella. While this meant we got a little less spice in this novella, I think it did provide some good relationship building for all three main characters which will hopefully carry them through to the end of their story. I was really happy to see Xander's character development specifically; the changes Xander went through in this novella will definitely be beneficial to the rest of the series.

Outside of the main characters' relationship, there was a lot of building up of the feud between Will, Xander, and Gaius. I'm anxious and excited to see just how far this feud goes in the next three novellas and how it will impact Autumn and her vampires.

With a solid plot, a little bit of spice, and plenty of world building, Ouch! My Vampire Doms Built a Scary Dungeon was a good, middle story in this series.

Great continuation to the lives of Autumn and her Dom's, Will and Xander.
We learn why and how Autumn was so ill. What they went through to find and execute the "cure". Their devotion to her is amazing.
I love the flow of the words. The spice of the romance and the dedication of the vampires to Autumn. The twists were unexpected. Action from the first page to the last delicious and of course cliffhanger ending to this book.
It seems they can not get a break.
What will happen next? How will they deal with Gaius and her stepfather. Will she ever be safe from him? What more will her vamps do to keep her safe?
Now, on with the next adventure . I can't wait.

Autumn is ill in this book and there is a mystery and even more hotness. The witch, Gretel, is taken and her apartment is emptied. There's worry about the library's protection from the witch. Xander tries to find a cure - or even a reason for Autumn's illness. Will grows weaker from lack of "feeding." Autumn finds the dungeon. Autumn sees the St Andrew's Cross and can't keep her eyes off of it. Hotness of the book continues with scenes from the dungeon. The guys find a cure for Autumn.

This was a pretty nice read and more of an emotional ride than a spice one (although there are spicy scenes and they are good, but fewer because plot reasons). Our grumpy vampire is doing some emotional growing up! But I am a bit mad that some plot things were so obvious and two smarty pants vampires couldn't figure it out sooner!! Dummies!

A fun insomnia read.

LOVE this Series 😁

Each book keeps getting better and better 😄. Our heroine realizes that she's fallen in Love with her two Vampires, but is still scared that they don't Love her back 😒. Thanks Calista, I just LOVE this story and look forward to reading more 🤓.

I loved the froth and humor of the first book but confess the next two got tiresome and I DNF’d the series.

Hot Steamy Vamp Daddies

Can’t wait to keep going through this series! Things are high tension in San Esteban with the scary stepdad and the boys vampire squatter, but the heat in this book is only getting hotter!

Yet another great read by Calista Jayne.
We continue learning more about Autumn and her vampire Doms, Will and Xander. There are threats all around the throuple and they just keep building. Now a rare illness threatens Autumn's life and her men do everything in their power to save her. An evil vampire is trying to move in to Xander and Will's territory, and Autumn's stepdad is getting closer to finding her and ending her life to keep her quiet. Will these three ever catch a break? We will have to find out in the next book because Ouch, My Vampire Doms Built a Scary Dungeon.
