woah. so many things have happened. we find out his “friend” is not his friend at all, and has been faking for 8 years and following him? we also saw a flashback of lewellyn with shavonne (or is it shavonne?) lewellyn is showing is true obsession with shavonne… him saying he wants to break his legs so he doesnt leave and cutting his hand so shavonne will pay attention to him?! and this new editor, hes so fishy!! i have theories but i wish i could keep going!! i want to know the story behind lewellyn’s scars, and how he said he wanted to be shavonne’s lewellyn (is his name something else :o) this is taking a dark turn and im very curious where it will go

Oh wow, der Band war wirklich richtig spannend.
Wir bekommen mehr Hintergrundgeschichte zu Lewellyn, wieso er so vernarrt ist in Shavonne und warum er so ist, wie er ist - und es ist richtig gut gelöst. Es ist grausam und düster und unangenehm, aber Junge, das war richtig richtig gut - ich hätte diesen Plottwist wirklich GAR nicht erwartet.
Weder das Lewellyn diese Hintergrundgeschichte hat, noch .... andere DInge, die jetzt schon ein spoiler wären :D

Although not as strong as the last volume this was fantastic. This series is really great and although I still have so many questions my biggest being why is Lewellyn even locked up like that in the first place? The scenes of Lewellyn and Shavonne were very nice, showing that Shavonne was the only one willing to treat Lewellyn with respect. I get now why Lewellyn is so attached and what the deal with the onions is. I very much am looking forward to the next volume. I need to know so many things. It will definitely be on my mind which is a sign that a series/volume is a favorite of mine.

2.75 stars. I am distracted by the neglected peripherals of Lewellyn's backstory and how the prison works because so much doesn't make sense. Was he fed? Was he given water? How did he drink it through the muzzle? Why didn't they just kill him? Did he lose his memories or was he born/created in this prison? Why wasn't he chained to the wall? Where did he piss? Why would guards even bother entering his cell if he was such a threat to them? Why the hell would Shavonne approach him so carelessly? Why did Shavonne have all this seemingly completely private time with him? Why did no other guard enter in all this time?

Also the art of the prison from the outside made me laugh. Like it was so obviously a 3D modeling tool that did not jive with the rest of the art style. I respect it tho. Do your shortcuts where you can

TW torture, murder, poverty, homelessness

The third season was brutal. You're rooting for Llewellyn and Shavonne, but I still felt bad for the villains (probably a personal failing). The last 4 chapters weren't as satisfying as I hoped. It felt like things weren't explained that well. Where does all of Llewellyn's money come from? How did Shavonne survive being shot? How did Farrell survive being shot so much?

What happened to my fun dark book? Now it is so sad dark book. I am in tears over this back story. How did we get from there to here exactly cause this is heartbreaking! Now I want to know who everyone is around our writer. I am with Lewellyn, I trust no one.

I never thought I would be so heart broken our killer in this story. We learned so much in this volume. I need the next ASAP and what do you mean the 5th isn't out yet?

This was my favorite volume yet. We got to see so much emotion from Lewellyn, as well as a backstory that explain how they originally met, which Shavonne has no memory of. It is incredibly heartbreaking and beautiful and I understand why he loves him so much.

Now I feel like I have an idea of where the story is going, but I could be completely wrong.

I love it when author's absolutely crush your heart with nothing but angst / hurt and a tiny sprinkle of comfort, just to give you a panel with all the hope you slowly lost throughout the chapters. Art at its finest.

This is for Yen Press/Ize Press' English translation of the graphic novel, since for some reason, that's not included in the editions for this. Specifically it is for that one because there are more typos in this volume than in previous volumes. Considering this is truly not a text heavy graphic novel, the number of typos
