Within his enigmatic presence , lies the key to my redemption . But I can’t afford to get involved with him, or I might lose my sister forever . In the arms of the Devil, I found my salvation . *If you are a good girl dreaming of a knight in shining armor, then step away from this novel! If you fantasize about hot, wildly sexy alpha males , then this one's for you! My heroes are dangerous, dark, and demanding—an HEA guaranteed with no cheating but lots of pain and pleasure. You have been warned! Proceed at your own risk…
As a teenager, Faye used to read at night with a flashlight underneath her bed covers. She fantasized of bad boys who stopped at nothing to capture the hearts and bodies of their women, and of equally strong heroines. Make no mistake, there are no damsels in distress in her world.
Her addiction is the “enemies to lovers” trope, and maybe that’s why when she first met her husband, their chemistry was just as sizzling as their disapproval of each other. But as in her novels, passion won, and now they live through their happily ever after.
By day, she is taking care of her household. By night, her shadow self emerges to satisfy her undisclosed desires. Literary and not.
I received this book as an ARC read and it was great! My spoiler free review is that this was a highly enjoyable read and I highly recommend it. The characters and plot were interesting and I couldn't help but like them. Alexei and Nora's relationship was entertaining to watch develop against both of their judgement. This book also had some fun humor in it and definitely got laughs out of me. The spice was also good and not cringy which is always a major plus. This book had me in the first chapter as it opened with Nora trying to find her missing sister and going to great lengths to do so since no one else will.
SPOILERS BELOW!!
The only thing I wish we had gotten was more information about Celia. While it was emotional when she died, I think it would have had a stronger impact if we had gotten to know her a bit better before this occurred to really make it more emotional. We learn a bit about her from the characters that know her and the flashbacks with her sister, but I didn't find myself really knowing her which can be expected with a character who is essentially missing the entire book. I would have liked to know her a bit more through Nora and the other characters before she was there and then gone, but that may be just my preference (I might like to hurt sometimes.) I also find it interesting how Alexei is written. He deems himself a bad guy and Nora spends a portion of the book berating herself for liking him as she thinks he may have had something to do with Celia's disappearance. However, this man never really does anything that I would deem that bad (the dark romances might be getting to me.) He literally saves her grandmother's life by paying for her cancer treatment. He also quickly forgive Celia for deceiving him to get close to him to find out what happened to Celia. He tells her that he can't be mad because he probably would have done the same thing or worse to find his own sister. Speaking of Katya, I loved her. Her relationship with Alexei was believable and cute. I also really like her relationship that develops with Nora. Again, this was an overall great read that I would definitely add to my physical library!
I really enjoyed Alexei and Nora's story with their lively banter and attraction for one another. They were both characters that possessed a strong sense of humor throughout a book that was laced with tragedy. secrets and suspense. If you enjoy a strong female character and an anti-hero that you can't help but like, then you will enjoy this book. Ms. Pierce needs to address a few editing issues, but overall weren't too distracting.
Nora was a strong heroine while Alexei was just too yummy for words. He has the right combination of leader, businessman, protector and lover. It takes a balancing act to successfully bring two people together who are drawn to one another right off the bat, but who both have different worlds/agenda's.
I loved Alexei's sister and always felt Kirill's character was a bit off from day one. This story was a nice addition at a time where I have experienced a tedious dry spell, returning more books after just a few chapters or deleting them completely because the story was either "rinse and repeat" or the characters/storyline were predictable. I enjoyed how these characters grew as a couple throughout the story and how each had to reconcile their personal issues by books' end.
The story was laced with laughter, great sex, jaunty discussions between the characters and tragedy and an attraction between characters that was noteworthy. I hoped things may have turned out differently, but understood what the author was going for with Celia's character.
Dancing for the Devil by Faye Pierce. This book grabs you from the beginning as Nora, a nurse, decides to take it upon herself to investigate her sister's disappearance. She gets a job as a stripper at the same club her sister worked at planning to question the owner and employees, who she believes hold the answers to her disappearance. Alexi is the owner of the strip club and dangerous Bratva leader. He meets Nora and, of course, is immediately attracted to her. He can tell she is hiding something but is unaware of her relation to his former employee. As the two grow closer, Nora puts herself in dangerous situations by trying to unearth the details of her sister's life. She wants to believe Alexi had nothing to do with her disappearing, but she has to know for sure. As details emerge and loyalties are broken, these two find more than they expected. Alexi and Nora have great chemistry. The spice is just right, there is lots of action, and the story is well written. Although this is a "dark" romance, I found it to be less so than some of this author's other books. There were some intense scenes, though, and the subject matter could be troubling for some. I have read several books by this author, and this will go down as one of my favorites.
I read this book in one day, I couldn't get enough of Nora and Alexei's story. This also is the first book I read by Faye Pierce. I will say this, I want more. I want to see what happens next to them. Also, I want more of a background book about each character. Now enough about what I want time to talk about this book. First, you have Nora who is just looking for answers about her missing sister. So she decided she would take matters into her own hands and become a stripper at the club where her sister worked, which is owned by Alexei. All she has to do is skip the right question but it's hard when the boss falls for you. This has twists and turns that you don't see coming.
Wow, an amazing story with a beautiful happily ever after.
Two people brought together because of betrayal and kidnapping. It is amazing to see a Bratva Pakhan meets the woman he would come to love in his club portraying being a stripper to find what happened to her sister. The night that Alexei laid eyes on Nora he was hooked. Nora sister disappeared 6 months previously and the police had basically given up and declared her dead. Nora decided to do her own investigation at the club. With the help of Alexei, they decided to kidnap her sister ex boyfriend. Alexei was so caught up with Nora that he overlooked the betrayal of his second in command. The book was well rounded and the story was great, it was happy and sad but ended beautifully. I recommend reading 📖
I didn't love the book, but I didn't dislike it. There was a lot of story, but not much to it, yet it was still interesting. I'm not sure how to explain it. I liked the characters, but they were almost too likable. The bad guys were evil, but the perfect kind of evil. Bad things happened, information found, loose ends tied up, all too perfectly. I enjoyed the story. I skimmed a bit, but I was invested. I'm not interested in reading more by this author though. It was a big time commitment, 400+ pages, to not feel fully immersed and altered. *This book is rated R. The F word is used more than once. There is bloody violence. The spice scenes are explicitly detailed.
As much as this book unintentionally made me laugh out loud, it was such a letdown in every way. The dialogue was so stiff/lifeless and tedious and mostly immature. The plot happened at a fast pace but not the conversations the characters had with each other, they dragged out, making this book longer than needed. The twist was no shocker, which wouldn't have mattered if the pacing was better and if the romance was anything to dream about, but it was not, much like the writing the characters too were lifeless.
If it wasn't for my insomnia, I would've dropped it, but the only praise I can give this book is that it's easy to just turn off your brain and read when you're tired because this book gives nothing of substance in anyway. What a waste of a white-haired devil.
I loved the genres of this book. The story is about Nora a nurse, and Alexi a Bratva boss. Nora is searching for something and meets Alexi, where there was almost instant attraction. Some hot spicy scenes ensue and then the mystery deepens. A few planned kidnapping, a killing here or there. And an eventful night in Lita (grandma's house). The story moves at a fast pace. The dialogue is witty and the tropes were unique, making this thoroughly enjoyable. Nora, the female lead character is feisty, funny and will stop at nothing for those she loves. Alexi is a bratva don with a conscience, and makes a well matched lead male for Nora. Worth 5 stars!
This novel is about Nora's search for her missing sister. Even though the police closed the case, Nora never gave up. She decides to be a stripper at Alexi's club. To find out the truth about her sister's disappearance and at that moment she could not deny her heart and fell in love with Alexei. I have to tell you guys that the chemistry between the two is really good. And another thing that impresses me is Nora's love for her sister and never giving up. Until knowing the truth who is the real villain And I'm sad about what happened to Nora's sister. If you are looking for a novel that is easy to read. Exciting plot with hot love scenes You must not miss this.
I really enjoyed this book and the lengths we would go to for our loved ones.
Nora is a nurse but has dipped her toes in the devil's playground before. She is set on finding out what happened to her missing sister Celia. Is Celia even alive anymore? There is alot of cloudiness surrounding her disappearance and Nora needs to get to the bottom of it, because no-one else will. Who's going to go looking for a runaway stripper anyway? To alot of people these are the ones that won't matter, no one will miss. They were wrong. And Nora is here to do just that. Alexei was Celia's boss so maybe he has the answers, only time will tell.
It's suspenseful and sexy and a absolute must read.
When the police declare Nora’s sisters’ disappearance “case closed” after only 6 months, she decides to launch her own investigation. She takes a dancing/stripper job at the last place her sister worked to find out what she can. When the owner, and mafia boss, Alexi takes an interest in her, she knows she playing a dangerous game.
This story moved fast and had a few unexpected turns which kept me reading. It definitely explores the dark, underside of the mafia with more than a little danger for Nora. As the story unfolds, Alexi shows a different side towards Nora and her grandmother. There were a couple of side characters I’d like to see in future books.
If you like dark mafia romance, I definitely recommend you read this book!
Wow, what a book, it grabs you from the start and you don't know what is going to happen from one page to the next, it is fast-moving, griping, and it has everything you want, with a few twists and turns that make you not want to put it down...
Nora is a nurse and six months ago her sister went missing, the police have given up and declared her dead, but she won't, so she gets a job as a stripper where her sister used to work. Little did she know that the boss Alexei would have an instant attraction to her which made her feel guilty, but she couldn't deny her feelings.
With the help of Alexei's sister can they find out what happened to Celia before it's too late? will Alexei help them?
This book was very well written and 5 stars are not enough, i would highly recommend it.
Such an exciting book! Nora is a nurse and lives with her grandmother. Her twin sister disappeared from a club that she was dancing at so Nora is on a mission to look for her sister. She goes and applies for a job at the club that her sister danced at for and she’s dancing and catches the eye of the owner Alexei. As she’s working at the club her and her owner becomes sexually involved, and that sexual involvement turns into love. This book has so much action and such a great plot that is such amust read. Also, it has steamy love scenes and a surprise ending that I loved I love happy epilogues.
It was well written book. I really a alike Nora, and her eagerness to find out what happened to her sister. She was hardworking nurse, so when she heard that police enforcement call Laura think your sister’s case. Nora decided to look for information in the club her sister used to work. That’s where she met Alexei they had instant attraction. The main characters were likable and liked Katya - Alexei sister. I am looking forward for your next book. Thank you for writing such interesting novels.
I enjoyed this book. I read it in just one day! The story is captivating and heartbreaking and heartwarming. It is a great story that shows you determination, loyalty, disloyalty, heartbreak and action. So much happens in this book, but its all for a great story. The deaths were shocking and some were justifying and an overall happily ever after hat just makes my heart melt is a definitive bonus.
In order to find her missing sister, Nora becomes a dancer at the strip club her sister once worked. Alexei owns the strip club and there is instant chemistry between them. This well written, dark story is filled with danger, suspense and plenty of steam with heart stopping moments that kept me turning the pages and wanting to know more. I absolutely loved Nora and Alexei's romantic journey. Excellent read. I highly recommend.
I have mixed feelings about this book. There were parts of the book that I found interesting and exciting, but there were also parts that didn't feel like it really contributed to the overall story for me. There were a few timeline/grammar mistakes, but I think what really bothered me is that I was expecting the story to be a little bit "darker" than it was. It just seemed kinda watered down to me.
Really enjoyed this suspenseful read about Nora's hunt for her missing sister and her becoming a stripper to obtain. answers she digs deep into the dark underworld. She finds on ruthless man Alexei. when they meet one another sparks fly and things get heated but can she trust him? What will she do to get the answers she needs and what she wants? This book will grab you from the beginning. and keep you reading to see what happen next.
What a powerful story about Nora's search for her sister. Nora is a nurse but since the detective refuses to investigate further into her sister's disappearance, Nora decides she needs to look. So, she gets a job at Pandemonium where her sister used to work. Faye has created an amazing world for Nora to explore as well as characters that are so rich in detail. A believable tale that will keep you reading late into the night. Read the trigger warnings.
A good storyline with strong characters and an engaging plot. Nora desperately looking for her younger sister goes to work in a strip club the last known place her sister worked at she immediately takes the eye of Alexai the owner and head of the Bratva their chemistry is off the charts immediately and their story begins. Its a good read with plenty to keep your interest.
This story grabbed me from the first and never let go. This author has written some wonderful characters and you get all the feels. Nora is searching for her missing sister and believes Alexei has something to do with it. As she works for him to try and gather information, she develops feelings that leave her conflicted.
I could not put the book down, I loved the fire the MFC had even when she was scared, the whole book had me in a chokehold until the end and i love every piece of it. There was a part that hit home hard for me in the late chapters and it was hard for me but I pushed through and finished the book, I loved everything about the book even loved the plot twist
Alexei was in the Russian mafia. He met Nora in his club. Nora was there to find out where her sister had disappeared to. So she started at the club. She took the job as a dancer to try and get information. Little did she know that she would fall for Alexei. There are many ups and downs, please read.
Nora will stop at nothing to find the truth ago it what happened to her sister, including working for the devil known as Alexei. A story that will keep you on the edge of your seat with danger, lies, betrayal, kidnapping and heartbreak.
I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily leave this review.
Both MC's were kinda dumb. She was so dickmatized by him that she was getting side tracked looking for her sister, even knowing that he could be involved. And he wasn't a very smart crime boss. I thought his sister came across as a better and more intelligent crime boss than him. She made better decisions.
I absolutely flew through this! What a page turner.
The follows Nora as she tries to find out what happened to her sister who has gone missing. I was hooked on the plot and just had to know what was going to happen next.
The spice was good and didn’t completely dominate the book. Even though some of the scenes were just… 🥵
Really enjoyed this book the pace was just right and the storyline was good. Both characters really suited each other liked the bonus scene but I suspect there could have been another book as Alexei's club could have had more drama. Will be reading more of Faye's books
Not giving up. Determined to find her sister. She did what she felt was the right thing to do in order to get the information she needed. Their relationship was funny. They bated each other. Even to the end of their story. The story had no surprise and ended the way it should've.
Firstly I gotta say the writing was really immature. The author acts as if the mmc is a sex God. The fmc is a bit stupid as well, meddling with the guy that supposedly killed her sister and still having s3x with him. I feel like the plot jumped from one space to another at times and it was very confusing.

This book was addictive, I couldn't put it down! Nora and Alexei have that chemistry that just attracts them. They had amazing passion and I loved how quickly he fell to his knees for her. A great story with suspense and mystery. There were a lot of twists and turns that kept me guessing. My new favorite, highly recommend!
