Will has been captured, and King Brenton is far more powerful than they feared.
Their new mission must be to save Will, but when the remaining four find themselves trapped within a mysterious magical biome, they realize they need to save themselves first.
Hypnotic fireflies, magical vines, and a reverse desert are only some of the trials they must face. But with continued controlled visions, newfound fears, and Myles’s mental health on a serious decline, Rose doesn’t know where to direct her attention. And when King Brenton’s palace multiplies by two, everything becomes a riddle.
What is the difference between a river and a waterfall… and why does the answer seem to be grief?
Few books I've ever read that are actually page turners, this is one of them! Paris Kaufman does an incredible job bringing in what will keep you questioning what's going to happen next and surprise you when it does. This is her third and final book in the trilogy and it will keep you guessing with inaccurate guesses. There will be times you want to put the book down and cry and still other times when you want to keep reading because you want to find out what's going to happen next.
In the first book I mentioned that she is an author that is incredible, young, and gifted, that is only confirmed in this book. I can't wait to find out what she writes next and read it read it, read it!
Amazing end to the Mageye Trilogy that will tear your heart out and mend it at the same time! It takes the characters we know from the first 2 books and grows them in ways you'll grow with them too. With emotion, gut-wrenching twists, and loads of new truths coming to light. Venture into the epic conclusion with Rose, Myles, Mercy, and Sophie, and meet friends and foes along the way. I enjoyed every second of it!
This book was amazing. There were so many twists and turns. I am still not over it. Rose and Myles were amazingly cute. They are my favorite book couple ever.
I will say I feel like the new character’s introduction was… a little rushed? Idk, I loved him but I feel like id he were introduced earlier in the story things would’ve gone more smoothly.
But that’s a small side note! This is still my favorite out of the trilogy and all the characters are just >>>

A perfect ending to the trilogy. Love the resolution and thats there is still room for more story in the future which I'd be very happy about! But it is still wrapped up all the loose ends and is very satisfying. I loved going on this journey with Rose!!
This book was not it compared to the other two in the serries. Here are some of my notes:
Rose: Girl I think you dropped something...It's called your backbone. stand up to your trash boyfriend like a queen. A wise Emo Boi once said "Don't hold onto something that can't be fixed" Get a better boyfriend (Like James)
Myles: Bro... get a freaking grip. YOU killed Will, not Rose. Honestly you should've let Will cook on this one.
James: Bro seriously got all-of-the-above-zoned by Rose. Like imagine finally getting to shoot your shot with the huzz only to then be adopted by them and their family. No wonder bro was so depressed, he got friend zoned in the worst way possible 🥀🥀🥀.
Will: Rest in peace brother, You shall always be missed 😭🙏.
Sophie: Honestly you were pretty chill. I totally ship you with Mercy too 💘🫂.
Mercy: Dude you got nerfed. I still appreciate you though. You and Sophie would be the best couple 💗💗.
One last complaint on Myles: He was way too overpowered and he never used it for good either. I feel like he was the real bad guy lol.
