To an outsider, Des Jepson has it all together. This house-flipping businesswoman is known around Savannah for her sharp wit, sharper heels, and a killer sense of fashion -- all coupled with a no-nonsense attitude and serious planning skills. In a historic city with superstition and tradition crowding its narrow streets, Des is a modern woman who doesn't need anyone's help to get what she wants.
Miller Hain might be just a bartender, but he's a man who knows what he wants. And after a few chance encounters with Des, he knows there's a heart of gold beneath that frosty exterior just waiting to be won -- and he's the man to do it.
Meanwhile, Savannah's uneasy spirits seem destined to put a damper on their flirtation. As the old city reels from a suspicious death, the Savvy Homes team have to contend with an increasingly malevolent presence in their latest project. And as Des seeks to uncover the house's dark past, a shocking discovery could kill off her chance to find happiness with Miller.
Return to the tropical ambiance and haunted courtyards of old Savannah for another round of romance, suspense, and friendship with the Savvy Homes team.
Ever since I could hold a pencil, I've dreamed about being a published author.
In 2011, I started a blog and website called The Tudor Enthusiast, where I write about the people, places, and events that make up the fascinating world of sixteenth-century England (and if that sounds like something you might be interested in, you can check it out at www.thetudorenthusiast.weebly.com).
I grew up in Northern Virginia, and still call this beautiful part of the world home. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from George Mason University, and a Master of Studies in Modern British and European History degree from Mansfield College, University of Oxford. When I'm not writing, I'm either working (yes, I have a day job), cuddling up with a book, or spending time with my husband and two young children.

Another wonderful read by this talented author. By Design tells the story of Des Jepson, (don’t dare to call her Desiree), one of three young women who make up the Savannah based Savvy Homes Remodeling and Renovation team. Des’ story had everything I’d hoped for- friendship, romance, a little family drama, a mysterious ghost or two, and murder. What’s not to love? This definitely left me wanting more and I can’t wait to read Britt’s story next. It’s going to be a long year. x
great second installment in the savvy homes trilogy
I loved Des’s story and the cliff hanger at the end tying us into the next book! If you love romance and a thrilling plot line all in one, start with the first book and come back for this one 😊
