Little chameleon sits on a brown branch, in the green leaves, in the tan sand, and on a golden rock. A snake, an owl, a fox and a boy all think they've seen him, but the chameleon never seems to be where they think he is. Craig Kee Strete and the popular illustrating team of Aruego and Dewey have created an irresistible bok about little chameleon's colorful escapes. Full color.

A fun and colorful story about a lucky little chameleon who avoids becoming lunch by using his natural ability to transform and blend in with his surroundings. Kids will have fun trying to find the little guy as he "disappears."
I hate weeding and coming across a lovely book I can't reorder! This is a lovely little book about different animals (and a boy) encountering a chameleon, trying to catch it, and getting outwitted. It is simple yet fun with really lively illustrations. I'm really sad to see it go.
Was a fan of Jose Aruego (How the Sun was Brought Back to the Sky, Leo the Late Bloomer) as a kid. LOVED his illustrations. This book has a fun story, good for storytimes because the kids get to look for the chameleon each time. Features Aruego's beautiful trademark illustration style.
