The Witches Couch: An Aussie Fairy tale

Rate this book
A story of family and magic set-in country Australia depicting a young boy, named Augie Bartholomew KettleBlack, A.K.A the Squid. He has a great love for all Aussie flora and fauna and his family, but unbeknown to him is their Witchery powers till a great storm comes to their little farmlet and shakes their yellowed corrugated tin house to its very foundations. Where starts a fantastical journey with Squids older sister Lilly and his pet Guinea pig Tiny who speaks in “Squeaks” on their living breathing Chesterfield couch named Chester, part African elephant and part something that was before. On an adventure across the Tasman Sea, to find the island of the Singing trees, introducing Squid to the ways of Witchery and the quirky world of Aussie fairies.
The Witches Couch was written with a young reader in mind, not to be overwhelming in its size and to be a one day, fast & furious adventure that starts in the morning and is done by that afternoon that’s spectacular in imagination and storyline that’s just the right amount intensity & mystery to keep a child reading! Also, this tale is fantastic for a parent or caregiver to read aloud, which is as fun for them as it is for the listeners. Please enjoy experiencing an Aussie fairy tale with all our quirkiness & individuality.
Thank you
