101 activities to choose from. I read every darn one of them and found a few that I loved, a lot that have potential and many that I just can't imagine asking students or professionals to do without creating a room full of groans and eye rolls. I'm not saying those activities wouldn't lead to interesting ideas -- I just want a chance to do some tweaking first.
I always enjoy theory more than details, so I found the goals of the different types of activities at least as helpful as the descriptions.
Props to this VanGundy, who took the time to write not only the exercise instructions, but examples of how they might play out -- for all 101 scenarios! If I didn't quite understand the facilitation steps, the examples led me home.
This book was written for the business world, so the examples are mostly about selling more goods or developing new products, but as an educator I can take the leap.
Read more scholarly books about creativity if you want the real goods, but use this for fodder to make it real.
