As always, I love Shanora’s covers they always lure you to read. I am with given this book for an honest review and so here it goes.
In my eyes this woman can never do any wrong. Her story’s always flow so effortlessly and there’s never an over abundance of sex that makes you feel like the story isn’t told. Frankie is in love with her brother by adoption Clay. Time has gone by and the tension of not being together explodes. Clay is finally ready to go live with his love for Frankie. The problem is…is Frankie? I’m not telling that part. Short and sweet storytelling with just enough spice to tease your sweet tooth. I encourage you to grab this book!

Tempting Clay is a short fast read that is steamy, sweet, and romantic. Clay and Frankie are great together. They have amazing chemistry and I was happy they got a happily ever after. This novella is a lot of fun and worth a read!

Tempting Clay by Shanora Williams

Y'all, I may have done a little squeal when I saw that Shanora is releasing another book in the Cane series. I absolutely loved everything about this series, and I am here for more!!!

I read this novella in one sitting. Lord have mercy. It is a quick read packed with sexual tension, and it's one hot and steamy read. Better make sure you're in the house with that air conditioner running at 60° cuz you're going to thank me later!!! LOL

P.S...Tempting Clay is a spin-off novella for my already published Cane Series . It can be read as a standalone, but for better clarity of the relationship between the characters in this story, I highly recommend meeting them in Wanting Mr. Cane

I was so pleasantly surprised to find out Shanora had written Frankie and Clay's story! It was nice to catch up with them and to see them finally get together. Makes me want to read the Cane series all over again for the millionth time. LOL I can never get enough of Cane and Kandy!

Short, sweet, steamy, and bordering on forbidden, like this author likes to explore. Frankie’s mother died in a car accident when she was little and her mother’s best friend Aria took her in. Later she adopted her, so Aria’s son Clay was legally her brother. Frankie had a crush on Clay for forever, but given their new status as a family, they decided to ignore their feelings and evade each other, in respect for Aria. Not before having some forbidden, sexy moments…

Now Frankie and Clay are twenty-four, college graduates, and Aria is in the hospital with a cancer return scare. Both are home to take care of Aria but being near turned out to bring back all those explosive feelings.

I love how this author skirts the line on what is morally right and wrong. Clay and Frankie are not blood siblings but are legally so. Their love should be forbidden but their hearts rebel against that social rule. Frankie is friends with Kandy Cane, who fell in love with her father’s best friend, another societal forbidden rule. I like it when they go against the norm, following their heart’s desire. And ultimately, that is the final truth, it’s not morally wrong, and it’s heartfelt right.

This novella was short, steamy and just what you need for Frankie's HEA.

I loved that she got her happy ending because she was missing it. At the same time when she was a character in The Cane series, Shanora really got me hooked on Frankie and Clay's forbidden romance. I Love a good step-brother/adopted brother romance and the thrill of it all, that is what I was expecting in this story. Instead you didn't really get a full view of the whole romance just bits and pieces. Then a conclusion.

While I understand this was a novella and I literally read this in one sitting, I really expected just a little bit more.

All in all, it was written wonderfully like all of her work. Would recommend for anybody that has previously read The Cane series.

Short and sweet with an unexpected twist!
Fast paced and short-ish Frankie and Clay’s story is finally here.
If you’re familiar with the characters from the super charged Cane Series then you’ve met these characters. While it has been suggested that this book can be read as a standalone, I suggest you read the prior books in the Cane series, especially Wanting Mr. Cane for better clarity and understanding.
Frankie and Clay are thrust in a situation that complicated matters especially affairs of the heart. Yet their attraction can’t be denied and this is a look at their forbidden romance.
Brimming with steam, sweetness and an unexpected twist this was a fun read for this hot summer!

It was a very short, hot, and fast read!!! I love this world so much, and was so happy when Shanora announced it. We got to see the forbidden love of Frankie and Clay.

Frankie and Clay's mom were best friends. When Frankie's mom passed, Clay's mom adopted Frankie. Frankie have been in love with Clay. The chemistry between them both was fire. They were forced to see each other again when Clay's mom was in the hospital. What's going to happen when Frankie and Clay can't keep their hands off each other anymore?

Pick this one up, especially if you love forbidden romance.

This is a cute short fun read.

I love love love Frankie, she is so smart, kind and chill. She has always had this everlasting crush on her adoptive brother clay, and you know they say about forbidden fruit 😂.

Clay and Frankie have put their feelings aside for the love and respect of their mother, but when things take a uncertain turn they are forced to face their feelings head on.

Will their mom give them her blessing or will they go on avoiding the inevitable.

I’ve been waiting for these two since their first appearance in the Cane Series. Frankie and Clay are technically “siblings” through adoption. These two have had feelings for each other from an early start but choose to not take it there out of respect for Clay’s mother who adopted Frankie. Oh but the temptation of it all. We meet up with them years later with them being adults. Let’s just say they couldn’t keep up the restraints any longer. So happy that they got their HEA and all the issues they thought would be in place weren’t issues at all. Absolutely loved this novella. Short and Hot, I’d highly recommend giving it a read.

Tempting Clay is the much sought after story of Frankie and Clay ( two characters from the phenomenal Cane series ) I loved every minute of this spicy and sweet little novella with its twist of taboo storyline. 

Frankie and Clay have spent years wanting each other, fighting their feelings and doing the right thing. Now all bets are off as circumstances bring them back together and their intense attraction can not be denied.

I'm definitely 100% team Frankie and Clay. ❤

Tempting Clay was a short and steamy read. Frankie and Clay have been in love with each other but haven't really acted on it because they are legally siblings as Frankie was adopted by Aria, Clay's mom. Frankie did her best to avoid Clay but now they are both back home due to a health concern with Aria. I liked the chemistry between the two of them. They were cute together. I know it was a novella but I wish we got a little bit more of their relationship!

Absolutely loved Frankie and Cane in this book.

Although a quick read, it was packed with plenty of steam with a side of romance ;-) . Forbidden romance, you betcha. This one is a story I've wanted to read for some time now. And I believe the author gave us just what we needed!

Took this book to the beach to read, it was just the right amount of story to enjoy for a day at the beach. So happy this author brought us their story.

This book was so cute! Very unconventional and not something I would normally read but at the same time, I read the Cane series and when I saw this book pop up, there was no was I wasn’t going to read it. They’ve been into each other for years but when his mom adopted her, they both thought it was over and that line could never be crossed. Now as adults, things change and that line was most definitely crossed. Loved it!

It's a cute short read. They've had an attraction since they were young and when they finally got together it was a bit steamy. It could have been hotter but it's a novella after all. I understand Frankie's fear, of feeling like no matter what you'll be alone but it's about trust in the end.
