New to Leslie? Readers suggest starting with 'The Bossy One' (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C6BP3BBF) —Imagine a sunny Minnesotan Mary Poppins, employed by a grumpy Irish billionaire. The story is a blend of humor, revenge, passion, heartbreak, hope, and witty banter. As one reader put it, ‘This story had me squealing at the romantic moments and silly moments.’

In fact, she confesses to loving her fictional persona, Leslie North, more than her everyday self! Her bestselling books are known for their strong characters, particularly women who aren’t afraid to challenge an alpha bosshole. And the humor? So infectious, you’ll be laughing out loud in public!
Leslie’s love for romance began when she picked up a worn-out romance book from her local library. She started writing soon after, and as they say, the rest was history. She now resides in a cozy cottage on the British coast, enjoying long walks with her two Dalmatians, George and Fergie.

DNF at 60% - this is not necessarily a negative review, I’m just a huge mood reader and I’m not handling this book right now.
I found the very start of this book a little hard to believe… like as if he offered her a job after knowing her for less than 12 hours, because she was able to book him a flight??? I mean I guess he was scrambling for an assistant… but then to just outright offer to triple her current salary? Would any white collar male (especially a sports agent ffs imagine the inflated sense of importance and ego) actually do that? Well I guess she was ‘breathtaking’ to look at. I also got the sense Maddy was very naive from the get-go.
So as you can tell, this book and I got off on the wrong foot 🤷♀️ but Mr Jerk was a jerk indeed. Again I only read 60% and I didn’t dislike it, it’s a creative and well written story, but I’m a mood reader and right now it is just too much stress, not enough to enjoy.
Beckett was just so fucking gross, which I know was the whole point of his character, but still he felt unnecessarily dislike-able. Gave me Tamlin vibes (especially in chapter 21/22).
This book just stressed me out. I knew Noah’s flip out was coming but it still surprised me how self-centred he was. Maddy is basically telling him how she was in a difficult relationship with a gaslighting controlling asshole IN COLLEGE and he found a way to make it about himself and the appearance of his business. But also, yes Maddy should have told him she had a serious relationship with a co-worker. BUT I can also understand why she hesitated too, with the confusing dynamics between her and Noah from the beginning.
Full review coming once I’m in the mood to give this book a second go!
A booking issue at the hotel she’s staying at starts with Maddy having to share her suite with a hot shot sports agent who may or may not have thought she was a hooker upon meeting her, and somehow ends with her accepting a job as his personal assistant.
Despite their rocky start, Maddy and Noah click. She pushes his buttons and makes him see new business perspectives, and the sexual tension between them is off the charts. So when the lines start to blur between business and pleasure, Maddy and Noah are all in.
Things are wonderful between them, until someone from Maddy’s past pops their new love bubble, and the reality and logistics of their relationship could create bad PR for the company and ruin her name. With the wedge between them prying them farther apart, both Maddy and Noah need to figure out if this is worth the fall out. & oof the third act conflict hit me right in the feels.
Maddy and Noah’s relationship was a whirlwind, and even though it wasn’t always easy, they ended up getting the happily ever after ending they deserved! This was so cute and I can’t wait for more of this series!
This was an OK read for me. I like the age gap,boss/ employee ,and grumpy/ sunshine tropes that are in this book. What I enjoyed most was the relationship she had with her girlfriends, that was the best part for me. What I didn't like was her ex lover/ boyfriend who was a focus in the middle of the book, that turned me off .
Klare Empfehlung! ✨ 4,5/5 ⭐
My Review: Mr. Jerk by Leslie North was the type of romance that comes out of nowhere and sucker punches you right across the heart. It's all about a grumpy Type A professional who meets a young, joyfully spontaneous fixer/problem solver extraordinaire.
My Favorite Quote from the Book: “I fell, madly, wildly, desperately in love with you, Maddy Malone. And I’ve been going out of my mind because I thought I’d lost you forever. So before we go any further, I need to know if you feel the same.” (Couldn't you just swoon? 😍)
My Aha Observations: Noah and Maddy were so different from one another. Despite that, they had a connection that was undeniable. Both leads had a lot to learn. In the end, they realized that growth had to happen before they could have anything worthy of being called love.
My Final Say: Readers who enjoy older man-younger woman romances will love this one. It was very well done and tackled many of the unique challenges that come with this type of romance.
Other: The friend group of Maddie had a vibe. The dynamics among the friends was interesting. The fact that Noah came full circle with them proved to be a noteworthy watch and tell.

2.75/5 stars! This is the second book in the "Billionaire Bossholes" series. The actual writing was good, but I didn't connect with this story. Maddy felt like she was written to be super naive and stupid and "bosshole" was instead an a**hole. I didn't really see him as redeeming and his motivations all felt sexual in nature.

This is a well written age gap romance with strong characters in Noah and Maddie. The author does a great job bringing two opposites together in this entertaining page turner. She brings her story to life with her descriptive scenes and fun banter and had me from start to finish. I loved reading their story and would recommend reading.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
We start off with a bang and kind of simmer off about halfway through. It's like when you're cooking pasta, bring the water to a boil and then let it simmer for 20 min. Don't tease me with a good time and let me down, OK?
I don't think I was expecting too much? Office romance, boss is a jerk but is secretly a softie for only you. You know the vibes I'm talking about.
Except that isn't the vibe of this book? Noah isn't a really a jerk. He's described as a boss who expects perfection and will dish out shit if it's warranted, but you don't actually see any of that? Is he really sort of bland? I wanted to see him give out ridiculous demands, I wanted him to be standoffish and then warm to maddy. I wanted a grumpy boss. But all I got was a knock-off brand?
Our sunshine character, maddy, is written better than Noah. She isn't in your face annoying, and her Sunshine vibe is much more believable than Noah's grumpy jerk persona. But again, I found her lacking.
I don't know if I've read some great grumpy/sunshine workplace romances, and that's why this book didn't hit the spot for me or what.
If you enjoyed this great power to ya. Each to their own. But I think I'll put this in my disappointment pile for now.

Leslie North has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Maddy and Noah. Maddy and Noah meet when there is an overbooking of her hotel room. Maddy was a bridesmaid in her friend Kaitlyn's wedding. Noah has gone to his friend James's wedding and now all he wants to do is get some rest before his business trip the next day. After the wedding, Noah goes to the hotel to check in. When he gets to his room, it is to find a woman there trying to get out of her dress. When she sees him she wants to know what he is doing in her room. He tells her that it is his room. She wants to know who he is and he said that he was Noah Parker. He asked who she was and she tells him that she was Maddy Malone a friend of Kaitlyn. They both want the other to give up the room. Maddy tells him that the room had been reserved for a year since she was part ot the wedding party. Things do not go well for Noah when they go down to the front desk, he finds out there is not another room available. Maddy wants to know if there is a cot to use. She is told that there was and told that it would be brought up to the room. They go back up to her room to wait for the cot, it never showed up. She puts a rolled up blanket down the middle of the bed. The next morning, Noah gets a call from his assistant Zoe and told that the private plane she was to reserve did not get done. He tells her to go to the office and get him a list of contacts for the major airlines. She tells him that she is not going to the office since she is at a phot shot. He tells her that she is done working for him. Maddy asked what was wrong and offered to help. He tells her what is going on and she gets to work. He offers her a job starting right then. He tells her that she would be going with him to the meeting later that day. She goes to work and gets a private jet for him. He asked her if she brought any business clothers and when she said no, he told her that he would have things brought up to the room for her to choose from. When they get to where they need to be for the meeting, he called Garrison to confirm their meeting but he doesn't get an answer. He keeps calling until Garrison's mother June answers and tells him that Zoe had called and canceled the meeting that morning. Maddy is told about this and she takes it on herself to call Garrison's mother June to see if she can save the meeting. When she goes to tell Noah, he gets upset over this even if the meeting had been saved. When they get to the meeting, things are not going well since June is the one who makes the decisons for her son. Maddy steps in and get her to tell Noah what she wants from the agreement between Garrison and Noah. Maddy and Noah start seeing each other and things are going well for them until Maddy meets Anna and is told about something the Beckett, her ex-boyfriend did to her. Maddy talks her into going to HR and report him. This causes problems between Maddy and Noah since he gets mad that she didn't come to him first. Beckett is let go and then he starts problems for Noah and the company. Instead of putting Maddy first after what she went through, all he can think about is the company. Noah and HR comes up with a press release that involves Maddy. Maddy takes a few days off and when she goes back to work, it is to have Noah wanting to talk. All he can talk about what the company is going through. He didn't ask about how she was doing. She lets him have it and then tells him that they won't work out since he only think about the company. She knows what she has to do now. The next day, she goes into the office and goes to HR to talk to Jennifer. She tells her that she is submit my resignation, effect right away. Jennifer tells her that she didn't see this coming. She asked if Maddy had told Noah. She is told no and Maddy had no plan to. Jennifer tells her about what the HR team had come up with for her and Noah. Maddy tells her that then they would just have to come up with something else for the reason why she was not there. Noah can't seem to stop thinking about Maddy. He knows that he has messed up with Maddy but doesn't know how to fix it. Noah has a meeting with Garrison and his coaches to see if he can be put back in the game. After the meeting, Garrison tells Noah that his mother June wants to show him how she is doing after her accident. June asked where Maddy was. He tells her that they are no longer together. She asked him what he did to her. He said that he messed up and didn't know what to do to fix it. She tells him that he needs to fix it with Maddy. It has been about three weeks since Noah has talked or seen Maddy. Noah goes to Maddy's friend Nia and asked for her help in getting Maddy back. Hope is there and between her and Nia they put Noah through the fire, wanting to know what he really thought of Maddy. He tells them how he felt about Maddy. The finally agree to help him get Maddy back. It was Thursday girls night and Maddy was due over in a little while. Nia asked Noah to stay for dinner and he is not sure about staying. When Maddy gets to Nia's and sees Noah, she wants to know why he is there. He tells her that he wants to talk. After dinner, while Maddy and her friends talk, he cleans up from dinner. Nia wants to know why she is treating Noah the way she is. Nia said that she needed to listen to what Noah had to say and to get in the kitchen and help him. Will Maddy give Noah another chance? This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

This is book two of the Billionaire Bossholes series and the main characters are Noah Parker, owner and founder of PSM, a sports agent company, and Maddy Malone, a trainee journalist awaiting her chance to actually write her own stories. They are both staying in the same hotel after attending their best friend’s wedding, and end up beign double booked in the same room, with nothing else available. Noah enters the room to find Maddy half undressed from her bridesmaid dress and ends up asking if she is a hooker! Not the best way to greet someone for sure. They end up having to share a bed reluctantly, but have no other choice and neither gets much sleep, even though nothing happens between them. Maddy can tell Noah is a self-serving rich man, who couldn’t even turn up for his best mates wedding on time, being too busy with work. The next morning he is supposed to be on his way to another meeting in a remote location and finds his assistant is too busy with her social media influencer presence to actually book the private jet or make any of his travel arrangements. It isn’t exactly the first time she has messed up his calendar and even refused to come into work, too busy on her social media to care! Enough is enough and he ends up firing her over the phone! Maddy can’t help but get out her phone as she listens in to all of this and offers to sort out his travel issues, as solving problems is one of the things she enjoys doing.
He accepts and is amazed that she manages to find him travel that will get there in time to meet his newest possible client and mother, in a possible signing opportunity. When she succeeds, he decides to offer her the chance of becoming his new assistant on triple her current pay. She would rather write for a living, but this comes just at the right time, as her boss yet again rejects her chance to write her story idea, and accepts the idea but passes it on to another more experienced journalist yet again. Her own father was a well-known and well-loved sports journalist and she grew up knowing a lot about lots of different sports and athletes, as well as insights into what made them tick. She figures she can do the job, so long as she doesn’t fall for him, especially since he is so good looking and extremely wealthy. She has to remind herself how much of a jerk he is and is quite talkative at times, not giving in to his demands, which he isn’t quite used to! She soon finds herself on her first ever plane ride where she can’t quite keep her mouth closed as he requested, when he was speaking to his possible signing and losing the mother. She has a wonderful way with people and while he wants the best for his clients and employees, he isn’t always the best at showing it.
Her job soon gets even busier and even her weekly meetings with her best friends Nia, Cassie and Hope, have to be put on hold, as she is taken to Europe on an extend tour of various signings, new and old for the best part of a month. Attraction grows between the two of them, but every time it seems that business interrupts. Noah is not someone that will turn off his phone, always needing to be in control and contactable day or night. Maddy gets a bit frustrated with the hot and cold treatment, but realises she is there to work and waits to see if things ease off when they return home. One thorn in her side is the fact that her ex-boyfriend Beckett also works for the company and on the same floor as her. She had eventually left his controlling side after a long period of time, where he isolated her and wanted to know where she was at every moment, even accusing her of sleeping with other men when she was with her girlfriends. It had taken her quite some time to build herself back up and having him try to get himself back into her life was not very pleasant. He still wouldn’t even take a hint when she said she was already involved with someone else! Seeing her in a favoured position with the boss and his own chances of a promotion not happening as fast as he wanted, he soon starts to cause her problems. The fact she hasn’t told Noah about her previous relationship with Beckett, especially once they do get involved romantically at long last, it comes back to bite her. Beckett is not going to change his manner and just picks on someone else. Another employee in tears and knowing it might be partly her fault makes Maddy take action without informing Noah, which soon has consequences on the company. Maddy soon finds out that the company and its reputation is definitely more important to her and her decision is easy to make. A workaholic boss might be okay, but not when in a relationship, where you aren’t put as number one! It will take some suffering before either will see what is really important. I guess it wasn’t quite as easy to forget the bosshole as she hoped. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
Roses in Spain. WARNING: CHARACTERS FROM “MR. GRUMP” APPEAR HERE!! Amazing book. Noah is all about his company, that’s always been his number one priority. He recruits the best players. After attending a friend’s wedding he checks into hotel. When he arrives at his room to see a woman trying to get out of her dress. She doesn’t hear him enter and when he speaks she spins around in fear and shock. Maddy is not sure how he got in her room but wants him out. After going to the front desk and discovering that they were mistakenly assigned to the same room at the full hotel they request a cot for Noah to sleep on that never arrives. They decide they can share the large bed. The next morning Noah gets an early morning call from his assistant about her latest screwup that puts his evening meeting in jeopardy. He fires her, something he should have done long ago. He offers the job to Maddy after somehow makes the arrangements for him to fly out that afternoon. She’s not sure because she’s expecting her boss at the newspaper to give her the go ahead on a story idea she submitted. Then said boss calls and congratulates her on her idea and he’s giving it to another reporter but to keep up the good work since there are other reporters looking for stories. Realizing that he plans on giving her ideas to others Maddy accepts Noah’s job offer. Upon arriving and calling to confirm the meeting he learns that his vindictive ex-assistant called and canceled it while bad mouthing him to the player. Noah is amazed by Maddy when she takes it upon herself to straighten out the situation on her own. They return home and begin working together. They grow very close and are happy together. Unbeknownst to him her controlling ex works for him. Maddy is not happy about that and doesn’t tell him until after after a staff meeting where the ex wedge himself next to her at the head of the table. Noah is on the other side of her and notices the man lean over and whisper something in Maddy’s ear. She immediately gets up and walks out. He quickly wraps up the rest of the session and goes to find her. When the truth comes out Noah is upset that she didn’t tell him. When she tells him what the ex said he’s furious and takes it out on Maddy. He sends her home for the rest of the day. Maddy doesn’t come in the next day, either. Things are on a constant rollercoaster for these two. The ex is not finished causing problems, though. Read on to see what else is in store for Maddy and Noah.

Noah owns a company that keeps him on the road most days of the year. He's so busy that he can't even act as the best man in his best friend's wedding! When he walks in to find a woman in his hotel room he isn't very kind to her but he's exhausted and he has to be on another flight early in the morning so he just wants to sleep. Maddy loved being in her friend's wedding but it's been a long day and she just wants to get changed and get some sleep when a stranger walks into her hotel room! These two might have had a strange start but they just might be the perfect match. Can they figure out a way to make their lives fit together?
Noah is the Mr. Jerk in the title, but I don't think he's a jerk at all. He isn't good at delegating, and he has high standards for his employees, but I figure he sets the example, and he expects others to follow. Noah is a really nice guy that just wants to help his clients even when they mess up big time, so it takes a lot out of him. Maddy is organized to within an inch of her life, but it allows her to be the perfect assistant to someone that travels non-stop and is dealing with some big egos. They have some misunderstandings and don't always communicate the things that they need to but they eventually figure out how to be a balanced couple. There is a pretty big age gap between them, and the author does a good job of making it clear how they fit together so that the age gap doesn't matter. There is a "bad guy" in the story. I thought it was going to go one way, but the author went in a different direction, and I thought it worked well with the story. When the "bad guy" finally did his thing, my heart broke for Noah since his business has been his whole life for so long.
This story did have a couple of issues with the story. These two are in near constant motion going from one client to the next or one issue to the next so how do they ever have time to do things like research for the next meeting? Or get their notes in order? There were instances in the story where things were said or done that made me wonder how they ever got time to do the mundane portions of their jobs. Or exercise for Noah to keep in the kind of shape he's in. I know it's picky, but I kept asking that question throughout, so it bugs me.
This is a contemporary love story that takes place in a lot of different locations. There are good friends galore. I would recommend this if you are looking for a light romance with just a little bit of tension (and a touch of a jerky ex-boyfriend). I will read more from this author in the future.

This is book 2 of The Bossholes series and another great audiobook. Which is also narrated by Lex Evans and Logan Anare..they really are wonderful storytellers and I find myself captivated with their voice acting skill. They are an ideal Noah and Maddy and makes them come to life perfectly. Noah and Maddy meet in a mix up of hotel room bookings..their mutual best friends are marrying eachother(James and Kaitlyn from book 1) and Noah and Maddy are in the wedding party, but they are both assigned to the same room and Noah accidently walks in on Maddy trying to undress. Which results in a lot of back and forth between them and they have to share a room for the night..Which results in Noah offering Maddy a job at his sports agency to be his assistant as his last assistant was a disaster. From that moment on Maddy and Noah spend alot of time together travelling for work and getting to know one another. Inevitably their attraction to eachother becomes stronger and stronger...until they do cross the line while they are away....and a romance begins between them. This is also an age gap story but actually the age thing doesn't really come into it that much. But there is a huge obstacle..Noah is a workaholic and Maddy as a disgruntled ex who is going to cause trouble...especially between Noah and Maddy when he threatens their relationship and to Noah's buisness. I do love Noah but he is a Jerk when his work takes priority over everything else in his life..which is a big problem for Maddy. Maddy feels unimportant to Noah and the walls begin to crumble. There is so much miscommunication between Noah and Maddy and if they would just be honest with their feelings for one another..they could have been fine. They are a great team in and out of work...but Maddy is starting to lose herself with the amount of work pressure and having all her time consumed with Noah...that she starts to have doubts and Noah seems to just want to let her go. I really enjoyed listening to this story it was emotional, funny and sweet Leslie North continues to write an enthralling story. It has so much depth and detail and I love how the characters just feel so real and complex...I have enjoyed Leslie's writing in the 3 books I have listened to...and the narrators are just Superb you can really feel the emotions because of their talents. This is a Fantastic book LOved it. 5 Stars.
🤣🤣 come on ….

Billionaire Bossholes, a 3-book series, by Leslie North where 3 billionaire bosses, who are all hot, rich, and completely sinful, meet their matches. Romance lovers will devour these steamy stories.
Book 2- Mr. Jerk, the billionaire sport agent, who is not only smokin' hot but always gets what he wants. He has perfected being a Jerk in his relationships, personal or business. He meets Maddy, a newspaper assistant and want-to-be writer, when, due to a reservation snafu, they are forced to share a room. He thinks she's an escort. She throws her stiletto at him. Still, he walks into the hotel room—claiming it's his—and has no plans on leaving. Neither does Maddy. Which is how she ends up sharing a bed with Mr. Jerk...platonically. Even though she has a few naughty thoughts and some very pleasant dreams due to his volcanic level of hotness. He’s still a hot jerk.
Like when he fires his assistant in front of her. And then asks her if she wants the job. A jerk nonetheless. Only a 5-star, card-carrying, world-revolves-around-me, A—hole would be so brazen. But he’s also paying her triple what the newspaper assistant job did and giving me access to legit superstars. As they start to work together, they find out that they work in a very balanced, harmonious way that supports both their professional needs Until he is the one starring in her dirtiest of fantasies and he relies on her kind, compassionate, organized and efficient nature more and more.
And that’s a problem. Because she can’t fall for the bosshole who always gets what he wants. But she is determined that he’s not getting her.
Leslie North does it again. A great story, cast of characters, wonderful story arch and character development. Keeps you engaged not only in the story and its outcome but the growth, pains, sorrow and happiness of Noah and Maddy. Recommend this read/listen.

Since Noah Parker is so busy with his company, PSM, he couldn’t be part of his best friend’s wedding party. This is because he couldn’t participate in all of the things before hand as well. But he did attend the wedding of James and Kaitlyn. His assistant, Zoe had made the reservations, but over the past few months, she had messed up on scheduling as well as the names of wives of the people he was meeting with because she was too busy posting to be an influencer while she was supposed to be working for him. Finally, he had enough, because she forgot to pay for his flight to meet with a promising new football player who was going to be a rookie during the draft.
Maddy is one of Kaitlyn’s friends and a bridesmaid. The room was double booked by her and Noah and there aren’t any other rooms. Maddy seeing what a mess up Zoe was and how upset Noah was, got onto her computer and fixed his problem. Total Hail Mary! He hires her on the spot! Maddy wanted to be a reporter and the newspaper she worked for as an editor wasn’t going to let her write, even tho she had some great ideas- her boss gave them away so she quit.
They are drawn to each other but they fight all the time. He is definitely a jerk. But it’s because he is a perfectionist. He expects a lot from the people who work for him. She helps him a lot throughout her trial period and he signs some people because of her ideas. he actually changes a bit.
Then trouble arrives when they get back to PSM. When more trouble and problems arise, misunderstandings occur and all heck breaks loose. I wanted to punch a few people at this point.

I loved this book! I don't think though, that the title and the blurb of the book does the hero justice. Yes, he’s driven, focussed on his company, but he has a soft spot for Maddy and as it shows that soft spot is as soft as a marshmellow. Maddy, th girl Mr Jerk falls for is feisty but also has a secret in her past, and that secret returns with a vengeance in her life. This book was well written and has a lot of layers of hotness, some sweetness and a family of friends. This is what the book’s about: The first time I met Noah Parker, he asked if I was an escort. Apparently when you’re a billionaire sports agent, finding strange half-naked women in your hotel room is…normal? That didn’t stop me launching a stiletto at him. He’s fine—good reflexes. Still, he walked into my hotel room—claiming it's his—and has no plans on leaving. Neither do I. Which is how I end up sharing a bed with Mr. Jerk. Platonically…more or less. Nothing happened, I just might have had a few naughty thoughts and some very pleasant dreams. He’s hot, all right? A hot jerk. Volcanic levels of hotness. But a jerk nonetheless. Like when he fires his assistant in front of me. And then asks me if I want the job. Only a 5-star, card-carrying, world-revolves-around-me, A—hole would be so brazen. But he’s also paying me triple what my newspaper assistant job did. Giving me access to legit superstars. Starring in my dirtiest of fantasies. And that’s a problem. Because I can’t fall for my bosshole. They say he always gets what he wants. But he’s not getting me.

Mr Jerk is the second book in the Billionaire Bossholes series by Leslie North. This book hasn't been well marketed to include that it is the next in a series. After I finished Mr. Jerk I wanted to see if it was part of a series since their were groups of friends mentioned that seemed like a backstory, Come to find out, I actually read the previous book and really enjoyed it! Goodreads nor North's website listed it as part of a series.
Mr Jerk starts out with one of the best meet cutes I've read in awhile. Noah walks into his hotel room to find a woman undressing. He mistakes her for a prostitute but she's a bridesmaid in his best friend's wedding. They end up being double booked for the room and of course there's no more rooms available. This encounter leads to Noah hiring Maddy to be his new assistant. They pretty much immediately take off flying around the world to court new sports stars. Eventually, they begin dating. They must navigate their relationship with friends, work, and Maddie's past.
I liked this book. More so now, that I can remember the backstory from the previous book. Their romance started fairly quickly. Noah tried (pretty weakly) to resist Maddy's sunshiny personality. One of my favorite parts was watching Noah interact with Maddy's friend group. They are such an integral part of Maddy's life and Noah tried (and succeeded) in winning them over.
Tropes include: office romance, meet cute, sports romance, grumpy/sunshine, billionaire, age gap, found family

This steamy, age-gap romance was a delight to read! Wealthy sports agent Noah meets Maddy in a hotel room they have both been mistakenly assigned after the wedding of mutual friends. His assumptions about her presence in his assigned room sparks her temper and his interest. Their stay ends with him firing his assistant and offering Maddy the job for an exorbitant wage, which she accepts. Her effervescence, her chatter and her can-do attitude are a bit much for him to take at first, but her organizational skills and ease with people are an asset he finds himself admiring. Noah also finds himself admiring her body her joy for life and her quick mind. He tells himself he is too old for her, not to mention her boss, but he can’t stop thinking about taking things to another much more intimate level with Maddy.
Maddy likes Noah from the start and is just as attracted to him as he is to her. She has her reservations too about him being older and her boss, but those quickly fade. Working with him has allowed her to see his charm, his genuine concern and care for his clients and his integrity. It has also shown his total dedication to his Job and that his job comes first before anything else in his life. Mixed signals and doubts soon give way to discreet passionate encounters. Complications arise when her smarmy ex who also works for Noah causes trouble, trouble that threatens more than Noah and Maddy’s relationship. Can their relationship survive it?.

Noah Parker was at a friends wedding. He was headed to his hotel room to get some rest. When he opened the door a woman was in the room undressing. He thought she was an escort. Maddy was in her room undressing when a man was there. They were both booked the same room and went to the front desk for them to fix it. Some how they were booked the same room. No other room was available. They had no choice but to share the room. Noah was married to his business. His secretary was messing up big time. His flight arrangements were not there. His meetings canceled. He was tired of all the mistakes. His assistant refused to fix the problems. He fired her.Maddy helped him with flight and meetings. He hired as his assistant. She was fixing all the things his former assistant left. This job was so unexpected and he was paying way more than what she made. Noah had trip planned overseas and Maddy was going with him. The more time they spent time together the more they wanted each other. They became a couple. Maddy has changed him and he didn’t expect it. Maddy’s ex works for the company and he tries to bully her. He made rude and inappropriate comments. When her ex tries something with another female employee her and Maddy make statements. He gets fired. He goes on offense. He goes viral and Noah’s company suffers from it. Noah pushes Maddy away. He then realizes he can’t be without her. He has to get her back. She has changed him for the better. Good story. Can’t wait for the next book.

Pur richiamando alcuni personaggi siamo difronte a libri autoconclusivi.
Maddy met Noah at a wedding. Maddy was a bridesmaid and Noah was there as a guest. They didn’t even meet at the wedding but afterwards when Maddy was in her room changing and Noah using his key card walked in. Turns out his PA screwed up again. As they are each determined the other needs to find a different room, it turns out the place is totally booked. Noah’s PA has been really doing damage to his schedule and now he just found out he didn’t have a flight to a very important meeting the next day as the PA forgot to give his credit card number. Maddy jumped in and found him a flight and things progressed from there. This was the last straw with his PA and since she didn’t want to help with the situation, he fired her as she didn’t seem to care that she was doing a lousy job. Noah was a sports agent and had his own company. When Maddy came through for him, he had already fired his current PA and asked Maddy if she wanted the job. When she found out the pay, she didn’t hesitate. Maddy was a beautiful person inside and out and you instantly enjoyed her company when you met her. She was also very knowledgeable about all sports and knew what to say. For that reason, Noah being a workaholic, took her for the next several weeks to Europe where he was searching for new talent. There was also lots of drama but ended with a HEA which I enjoy seeing.

Intense man meets exuberant lady Wow! Great fast-paced story with strong interesting characters. Noah Parker, owner and CEO of Parker Sports Management, is driven. He scouts talented sports figures and once signed with PSM, Noan handles their contracts and appearances, matches them with endorsements, takes care of their needs, and reigns them in when needed. Noan is on call 24/7 and he is burning out. To complicate his life further his assistant Zoe is a complete mess up. With the latest catastrophic mistake, he fires her. Lucky for Noah he just met a friend of a friend, and Maddy Malone steps in to save his day. Maddy wants to be a reporter like her dad was, but she’s not gotten her chance. Her superpower though is as a fixer. She can set anything right and though Noah is a grumpy smarty-pants Maddy is going to fix the mess his ex-assistant made…And, with that accomplished he hires her to become his assistant. These two travel the world for his PMS clients. Maddy is a huge help and Noah is impressed. He’s also attracted to the smart beautiful young vivacious, Maddy. Can they work together and share some romantic free time? They do! Then Maddy’s mentally abusive ex-boyfriend, Beckett Tate, who also happens to work at PSM, causes a scandal that threatens to destroy everything Noah has built. The ending is a sweet treat. I received an ARC of “Grumpy Billionaire Bossholes” from Booksprout and these are my thoughts on each story. Linda
Teaching The Grump How To Love - The first time Maddie and Noah met was an awkward encounter, as they were accidentally booked into the same hotel room and Noah walked in on her whilst she was partially undressed. Unfortunately, things didn’t get any better until the next day when Noah found himself in a bind and Maddie was able to step in to resolve his predicament.
Noah realised Maddie’s true worth and decided to employ her as his assistant. Working closely and travelling together allowed them to know each other on a personal level, which led them to embark on a secret relationship. Just as they settled into their relationship, Maddie’s ex-boyfriend decided to reek havoc on their personal and professional lives, which caused them to break up.
However, Noah realised after a while that his life was empty without Maddie, so he enlisted her best friends to help in his fight to get her back. Once Noah was able to convince her to give him another chance, he knew at that point he had to do everything within his power to ensure they got a happily ever after. Nothing prepared me for the whirlpool of emotions I went through reading this book, but when I reached the end, I was still thirsting for more. It is a definite must read book.

Mr. Jerk Billionaire Bossholes, Book 2 By: Leslie North Narrated by: Lexi Evans, Logan Anare
This is a fantastic grumpy/sunshine listen and I did it straight through! Maddie ends up stuck in the same hotel room with Noah due to a booking issue. No more rooms available, this mistake has left Noah with a bad taste in his mouth which just blurts out at Maddie! But as the two settle in to their new home for the night, their discussion of business has shown Noah just how smart she is and what an asset she would be. Hiring her as his new assistant should do him well. But will she take it? And is that his only intention? Real chemistry, a bright new future. an age gap easily overseen and a grumpy boss who can't see past the next stack of papers had this book flying by! Noah is that man, the one who cannot stop looking at his phone or computer. Maddie deserves better right? She wants the attention he gives to his company. But will he be willing to compromise? Fun, flirty, frustrating and fabulous, this was a great listen!
Lexi Evans and Logan Anare are the story tellers and they are amazing. Together they find their way into the hearts and minds of Maddie and Noah and create magic as the story progresses. I love their interpretation of this grumpy sunshine couple and highly recommend it.
I am generally not a fan of age gap romances. The age gap in this book wasn't obvious to me other than the times Noah and Maddie's ages were mentioned.
There was definitely a lack of communication between the two. I didn't understand Maddie's lack of full disclosure with regard to Beckett. Was that supposed to be an indication of how young and inexperienced she was, not only regarding work place environments, but relationships in general? That move made no sense.
I could see both sides of the coin during the relationship crumble. There was the romantic side and the business side. I didn't feel like Noah was being disingenuous. I thought he was being pretty consistent in his behavior. I felt like since Noah and Maddie never established a clear form of communication in their relationship that only served to contribute to the fallout.
I wish there had been more detail about the recovery from Beckett's behavior. To have it wrapped up in a paragraph or two after it was so destructive had me feeling a little cheated.
There were a few moments that made me smile, but I wasn't really feeling the Noah/Maddie connection. This was an ok read. Didn't care about their HEA.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book received via Booksprout.
Noah's a busy man and that makes him agitated and short in conversations. He wants to get to the point he doesn't have time for anything else. When he meets Maddy she thinks hes hot but not arrogant and insulting hot so she throws it right back at him. They meet when their room is double booked. He has to be at a meeting out of town and his assistant has made another mistake so he fires her. He doesn't know how hes getting to the meeting so Maddy being a fixer solvers his problem. Hes so impressed that he hires her as his assistant. They work together in close proximity so that leads to a romance. An age gap romance. 18 years gap. Her first day at work she is stunned to see the guy she broke up with. Hes putting the moves on her trying any way. And then there are the mean girls who just love to put doubt into you head. Little by little hes putting her out there so everyone can see how important she is for work and personally. Then her past, Beckett, reared its ugly head and Noah wasn't upset for their relationship but what it would be like for his company not her feelings. I can see both sides but it finallky brings out the best in both worlds.
