My name is Natalie. I published my first book, Aftermath in August 2021. I've been lucky enough to find my own insta-love-at-first-sight person. We have a daughter who drives us crazy and a corgi who adds to the chaos. I love hockey (Chicago Blackhawks), MotoGP (Motorcycle Racing), and baseball (Chicago Cubs). When I'm not writing, you can find me studying or crafting. Or crafting when I should be studying.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy and am voluntarily reviewing it. Ya'll know I love me some Lake Renegade. We are back with the Mancini family. Sebastiano Mancini is convinced to go to a charity ball with Salvatore. Of course, the whole crew comes along. There they meet fire fighter, Schuyler. Sebastiano just needed one look to know that she was his. The sparks between them was obvious from the start. Unfortunately, Schuyler had a boyfriend. A boyfriend that she has tried to get away from, but he just refuses to let her go. He is not a good boyfriend. He is abusing her mentally and physically and blackmailing her with the threat of hurting her sister. Schuyler and her sister have been on their own for a while. Schuyler is willing to do anything to protect her.

Walls come tumbling down when the Mancini family enters the picture. Sebastiano quickly inserts himself into Schuyler's life. Though crazy to most people, the Mancini family understood and helped save Schuyler from what could have been her last night on earth. Though the Mancini family is legit, they still have mafia ties. Schuyler's boyfriend will not walk away from this. Once everything is settled, the Mancini family focuses on making Schuyler and her sister feel welcome. There is a looming threat Schuyler's boyfriend's father is not going to give up on his son and wants to take the Mancinis down for having a part in his disappearance. There are some scary moments. Readers will be on pins and needles to see where this goes.

I really enjoyed the audio of this book. At first I was a little thrown off that the narrator was a woman because I thought the book would be mainly from Sebastiano's point of view. Boy, was I wrong. This woman played so many parts and the accent was on point. She definitely understood the assignment. I rarely got confused on the characters. If you have read any books from this series, you know that there are a lot of characters. She played them all flawlessly. I am ready to listen to more. Let's be real. I'll take these books anyway I can get them.

I really enjoyed this book. Good world building and wonderful characters. I loved both Sebastiano and Schuyler. There were sparks between them even from their first meeting. But Schuyler is trapped in a relationship with a boyfriend who mentally and physically abuses her, and blackmails her into staying with him by threatening to harm her younger sister- who is her only family. Schuyler is a firefighter- which I loved- and had a people who cared about her, but she still hid her bruises and dangerous situation. Sebastiano recognized the signs of possible abuse, and immediately noticed her boyfriend's disrespecting her by openly engaging another woman. I loved the Mancini family members and how kind and supportive they were of Schuyler. When the time came, they welcomed her and her sister. The threat from the boyfriend, and later the boyfriend's father added some danger and tension and excitement to the story.

I thought Diana Diaz did a great job narrating this book and bringing the story and characters to life. I usually don't care for female narrators narrating male roles because usually the men just end up sounding like a woman with a deeper voice- especially if the male is the deep-voiced alpha type- and it just doesn't work for me. But I didn't get distracted by that in this audiobook.

This is my first story by this author and I definitely want to listen to more in this series.

Saving Her is my very 1st book by the amazingly talented Natalie Arthur. It is the 2nd book in the Mancini Legacy Series, and I'm definitely going back and reading the 1st (Aftermath). Once I picked up this book, I could NOT put it down, and read the entire thing in just an evening.

This has to be one of the BEST books I've ever read! It's got so much heart, all the feels and the plot is immaculate. From the 1st few pages till the very end, I was pulled in and felt like I was apart of it all. I laughed, and cried and laughed some more. I wholeheartedly felt ALL of the emotions...happy, sad, all of it.

These characters have so much depth and soul, and are so relatable, I instantly felt like part of the family. I'm SO excited to get caught up on the other books, and see my favorite's stories come to life!

Saving Her Book 2 in the Mancini Legacy Series by Natalie Arthur is an amazing author who knows how to keep the suspense going, break your heart and put it back together seamlessly. This is only the second book from this author that I have listened to and she continues to amaze me, like where has she been all my reading life?! I just happened onto her and I have to say I am supremely thankful she popped up on my feed. Sebastiano and Schuyler make such a great couple and I loved the journey to their HEA that Ms. Arthur took me on through her words. Diana Diaz des an absolutely fantastic job voicing the different characters and pulling me into the story. This is an unstoppable duo!! Highly recommend!!.

This is book 2 of Mancini Legacy and a standalone story. You do not need to read the first book to enjoy this story, but I would recommend that you do because the first book sets the stage for future books. I loved the characters and the cross over characters. This story does deal with some dark issues such as abuse and death of parents. I cannot wait for the next book in the series. This book drew me into their world, and I could not stop listening until the end.

Loved the narration from Diana Diaz

Sebastiano wants a family and when he meets the woman who knows is his is Schuyler . She is being abused and he will not stop until she is safe and his. Schuyler once trusted a man and he now should her not to trust. That is until Sebastiano who makes her feel safe.
These two have to work through their past and demons to find their future.
