About the author
Lynne Gentry
36 books212 followersThis girl who grew up on a Kansas dairy farm never wanted to be a writer, but she has always been a storyteller. Her mother called it "Selling wind in a bag." Lynne started out writing plays and skits. Then in a moment of sheer insanity, she decided to take a stab at writing full-length novels. Reinventing Leona was her first and it is no longer in print. The Carthage Chronicles are her time travel/sci-fi series. The Mt. Hope Southern Adventures series starting with WALKING SHOES and The Women of Fossil Ridge series starting with FLYING FOSSILS are her contemporary romantic comedy series. And GHOST HEART and PORT OF ORIGIN are part of her Agents of Mercy Medical Thriller series.
Lynne can milk a cow, drive a tractor, organize a banquet, prepare a kid for that first professional acting audition, or sit across the table and enjoy a cup of coffee with you.
She loves spending time with her family and medical therapy dog.

The town of Mt. Hope is struggling to survive. Leona thinks she can help.
Let’s resurrect the Christmas Parade from days of old!
People aren’t so sure. It will cost money they don’t have. Leona has a plan.
She also has a helper; at least one or two…
Does it all go well?
Hhhmmm…fire, broken window, broken bones, broken heart.
Still, winds of change blow softly, at first, in Mt. Hope, Texas.
A little soap and water, a few nails. A new menu item, or two; helping hands and
SANTA SHOES tempered with friendship, forgiveness, love and hope📚

It's taken me a while to realize I had not read the last book in this series. I'm glad I finally purchased/read it. This is more than a Christmas story. It is about restoring a relationship, practicing forgiveness & having restoration to a relationship. Anyone reading this book can learn the principle of the story if they are not familiar with it.

This is a very heartwarming story. Leona is a very determine woman. Her growth and faith in the Lord is admirable. I enjoyed reading this book and all of the others. Mt. Hope is a very neat town.
