What started out as two crushes becomes one big secret. The entire student body knows Bryce won’t pucker up those lips for Disa. He’s been her longtime crush, and the school flirt. Trying to kindle a relationship with Bryce is a cruel and unusual punishment that Disa’s not willing to go through her senior year. She’s giving up boys.
That doesn’t stop her from crushing on the future homecoming king.
Disa has known Damon her whole high school career. Not only is he the silent, artistic type and a varsity soccer player, he and Disa have never spoken two words to each other! She can’t imagine he would descend from his throne of popularity to mingle with her, or ask her out on a date.
It seems she’s wrong. So wrong.
Damon’s sudden interest in Disa has her spinning. His secrets and frosty persona knock Disa to her knees, alerting an otherwise oblivious Bryce that he needs to be the knight to win Disa’s heart. ★ ★★★★ Knights of Frost and Rain is Part 1 of My Not So Secret Crushes , a slow-burn, upper YA romance with multiple love interests. ★★★★★ Note about heat level. While this first part is a sweet read with minimal language and lots of romantic tension, as the series progresses, heat level and graphic language will increase. Parts 4-7 are recommended for mature readers.

Reina Lockwood once stumbled into a faerie ring beside a murmuring brook, realizing that for herself love is ever to be turbulent and soul searing—but worth the heartache as she fights to conquer an ordinary existence—while failing to ignore the guy assailing her with moody looks and wicked kisses. Reina’s romances are epic and spicy, with touches of fairy-tale magic and hints of the impossible.
I enjoyed this book on the whole. However, the title had me believing the story would include fantasy elements, and it 100% only takes place in high school. That being said, the conflict between the love interests is fun to see and not your usual love triangle, and I would recommend the book for anyone wanting a light, low-pressure read. I finished in about 4 days as a full-time employee and full-time college student.
I had never heard of the idea of an upper YA novel/romance but after reading this, I understand what that means. This book was SO good and the slow burn romance killed me; worth it in the end though!

I thought it was cute, however, I felt that the story jumped a lot. One minute Disa likes one guy, the next it's the other guy, and then 70% it's about another guy in the picture.
