In a futuristic Neo-Tokyo, crime is rising rapidly in the wake of a new generation of super-drugs capable of enhancing the user’s physical and mental abilities. Hajime Tsukumo is a new recruit on a federal task force trained to go after these powered-up criminals. Now he must team up with Zeroichi, a so-called Hanger looking to reduce his own jail sentence in exchange for helping to take down these chemically-boosted bad guys.
The plot is intriguing, unique and unpredictable. Set in a post-pandemic society with unique problems stemming from survival, sprinkle in a slow burn connection (some faster than others). I am actively hanging on every manga release and cannot wait for more! The book just stopped two days ago, and I finished it in a few hours. Beautiful art, great character and world building. 10/10 would recommend.
I'm so, so happy to revisit this series. It seems like it's been forever since volume 3, so I'm glad the author included a little recap as to what was taking place. This one wrapped up a little abruptly for me, with not as much background on Zeroichi's past as I thought there was going to be. Hoping for more in the 5th volume!
Screaming over this series. I'm so glad to see the story is being resumed. It's been a while since I've found a series like this that pulled me in as deep as it has. I'm cheering for you, Kisaragi Hirotaka! I can't wait to see how you conclude this tale. :)
This one seriously had me at the edge of my seat. I was fearing for the worst. I really was. Zeroichi and Hajima are my favorite. I can't lose them. I hope we get to know more about Hajima's blood and his father. I need to know if I'm right about about his father.
I love this series, and the characters, but this instalment felt like a stopping point between plot points. Eagerly looking forward to the next book to see where things end up.
