This book seemed more like a catalogueing of anthtopological, artistic, and literary depictions of the penis wrapped up in Freudian theory than anything else. The times the Oedipal complex and its applications were brought up was nauseating. However, I did learn some fun facts - particularly about the anatomy of the penis and why circumcision might have come about - but I wouldn't recommend it.
