A future foreseen and a second chance… In Book Two of In Times to Come, Alan Carson’s return to the cave where his strange journey began resulted in his separation from the only friend he had in the bleak future into which he’d arrived. Now, Alan has found Sierra Timms once more after a second passage through the portal within, but things are hardly better just two years prior to when they met before. Will Alan’s second journey through time disrupt a future he has already seen? Can he help Sierra change the destiny of the ones she loved before? Can the two of them perhaps change the course of all the things they’ve seen in the times to come? Disruption is Book Three of the In Times to Come a story of survival and courage in a near-future post-apocalyptic world.
Scott B. Williams has been writing about his adventures for more than twenty-five years. His published work includes dozens of magazine articles and twenty-five books, with more projects currently underway.
His interest in backpacking, sea kayaking and sailing small boats to remote places led him to pursue the wilderness survival skills that he has written about in his popular survival nonfiction books and travel narratives such as On Island Time: Kayaking the Caribbean, an account of a two-year solo kayaking expedition he undertook at age 25.
With the release of The Pulse: A Novel of Surviving the Collapse of the Grid in 2012, Scott moved into writing fiction full time. His post-apocalyptic and action & adventure stories draw heavily on his personal wilderness and ocean experiences to create believable scenarios often set in dire circumstances. Disruption is Book 3 of the In Times to Come series. With some ending in a minor cliffhanger, I would certainly say these should be read in order as a series.
I'm still intrigued by this concept and I am still engaged with the characters but "here we go again" is starting to run through my head.
I'm still recommending this and I'm headed to Book 4 but I'd really like to see something other than a rinse, repeat type of storyline.
I am really enjoying these books. I love time travel books. This series captured my attention from the get go. I like the two main characters and despise Kenneth as I’m supposed too. I am anxious to find out what Sierra’s grandfather meant…… Exciting!
