La bellezza dell'esistenza

Ottima monografia che mantiene l'alta qualità della serie: Piero della Francesca è presentato come sintesi di perfezione formale e solennità pittorica che evolve il discorso di Giotto e di Masaccio in una struttura prospettiva e pittorica di stabile grandezza.
Il saggio introduttivo di Oreste Del Buono, la biografia e l'ottima appendice dedicata alla storia della critica discutono molto chiaramente come la valutazione di questo grande artistia sia cambiata nella storia e di come solo in un tempo relativamente recente sia stato compreso il suo grande valore.

To me, this was a very dry translation. I can't speak to the original Italian manuscript, but the English version is some difficult, academic text.
