Frost can burn. So can an icy glare. The winter formal finale leaves Disa spinning with turbulent emotions. She finally received her greatest wish in the arms of her longtime crush, much to the dismay of a certain frosty observer. Unfortunately, the promise she makes to Bryce brings her back to square one in the romance department. Just when Disa vows she’s through with guys and she’s going to focus solely on her academics and on crushing the competition during the indoor track season, the new year and new semester begins with some unexpected revelations. Bryce has big problems—which shatter Disa. Her redheaded bestie, Enoch, rallies around her fragmented heart, but even his support can’t buoy her when Disa comes face-to-face with her new nemesis, Damon’s dark and brooding stepbrother. Reina Lockwood once stumbled into a faerie ring beside a murmuring brook, realizing that for herself love is ever to be turbulent and soul searing—but worth the heartache as she fights to conquer an ordinary existence—while failing to ignore the guy assailing her with moody looks and wicked kisses. Reina’s romances are epic and spicy, with touches of fairy-tale magic and hints of the impossible.
I am loving this series. What I love about these books is that, even though the romance is a slow burner, the book is actually really fast paced. Every chapter is eventful, it keeps me interested and moving on from chapter to chapter in quick succession. Never has a book with four (this far!) love interests had me rooting for every single one of them, for different reasons. With every few chapters I change my mind as to who I think Disa should be with, and I'm not mad about it! The covers and titles suggest this series would be a romantasy similar to ACOTAR, however it isn't, it's a high school YA romance, but I'm truly enjoying them. Yes they are a bit cheesy at times, and I am firmly of the understanding that teenage boys are not as emotionally intelligent as the ones in this book, but it doesn't bother me and these books are actually keeping me very entertained. Can't wait to see what happens next. On to book three...

Book one was okay but this one wasn't. Too much monologues, boring and desperate FMC, missing chemistry, and lacked substance. The crush 1 of the h strings her along and ended up getting another women pregnant. Then gives her mono. This was such an annoying read. Lost interest instead.
Fair warning, this book is long but SO GOOD! I love a slow-burn romance and this book had me hooked to see when the romance was going to ignite. So worth a read!
