كتاب متميز ومفيد جدا موجه بالدرجة الأولى لدارسي الإدارة على كافة المستويات وكذلك العاملين في مجال الإدارة والمهتمين بهذا المجال من غير المتخصصين. يستعرض الكتاب 40 نظرية في الإدارة والمؤسسات وفق طريقة منظمة على النحو التالي: (1) استعراض عام لأهم ملامح النظرية، (2) مناقشة الانتقادات الموجهة للنظرية، (3) أساليب قياس متغيرات النظرية، (4) مقترحات للراغبين في إجراء دراسات على النظرية في المستقبل، (5) أهم المراجع التي يمكن الاطلاع عليها للاستزادة حول النظرية، (5) كيفية تطبيق النظرية على أرض الواقع.
أسلوب الكتاب علمي بحت يخلو من التحيز الشخصي، والمساحات المخصصة لكل نظرية متساوية تقريبا. من الواضح أن المؤلف بذل جهدا خارقا لكي يخرج الكتاب بهذه الصورة.
الترجمة العربية لهذا الكتاب في طريقها للنشر، وسترى النور قريبا بإذن الله.
