Hang on to your hearts! "Romancing the Stone" meets "The Wolf of Wall Street" in The Closer, a fiery enemies-to-lovers dark romance where tangled fates and buried desires make matters of the heart the hardest deals to close.

Ten years ago, I met the man of my dreams. A stupidly gorgeous and wildly talented venture capitalist named Dallas Evener. I was the fiery yin to his dominant yang. He set my entrepreneurial heart aflame. Our destiny was clear as day … and then he had to go and ruin it.

I swore never to do business with him.

A decade later, I’m eating my words.

A scandal rocks my startup passion project and I’m left in a lurch when the lead investor backs out. My only hope for money? Dallas. But that means I play by his rules. And the whispers around town imply he funds his projects with dirty cash.

Is that why we fly to Argentina to close the deal with a mysterious financier? Dallas promises this is a no-brainer, although nothing comes risk-free. I’ll take a chance with my company. The question is, do I put my heart on the line again when our simmering chemistry reignites? Because there is more to this transaction than meets the eye. And everything I thought I knew about Dallas and love tangles into a compromising position neither of us expects.

The epic finale to the Hustlers Series is a full-length enemies-to-lovers dark romance, buzzing with spicy friction and steamy second chances. A happily ever after guaranteed.

The Closer is definitely a fiery enemies-to-lovers dark romance contemporary romance. It is the third and final epic tale in The Hustlers trilogy and my favourite so far. Make sure to read the books in order or you are missing so much deliciousness. I really enjoyed this story.

This second chance story is sexy, filled with suspense, drama, power, angst, pain, and sizzling chemistry and let’s not forget a little humour and mayhem. Rowans descriptive writing style is good at building the anticipation in you on what’s to come.

June is out of options. She needs help and she needs it now. The only thing left is the one thing that broke her. The real question is can she forgive. They both work hard and love hard and there are a lot of moments when you wonder if they should just walk away. They are both complex characters that are stubborn and not easy to forgive and their demons may be too much.

Their story is an emotional one and not a straightforward trip to love it has twists and turns and around every bend we discover something new.

I can’t wait to see what Rowen gives us next.

I’m not sure what I thought I was getting into when I got this ARC, but it is not what I got. I felt like it was barely enemies to lovers and I’m not even sure if it was dark romance so much as insert mafia in an obscure way.

Let me just give a brief rundown. The MMC is met 10 years ago. They seemed to hit it off and got along straight away. They referred to themselves as their twin, but not in a creepy way obviously 🙄 then, because our MMC has issues, he was a complete and utter jack… You know. Queue our FMC stomping out and rightfully so. This spurs our MMC to become nasty. He begins spreading rumors about her, and assuming she set him up for one thing or another and now he’s essentially ruining her business and her life because he’s petty. This storyline was giving me the ick. It honestly sounded like a teenager was getting revenge for the girl that told him no. It was giving….man at the club says Hey, can I get your number he gets rejected and he calls you a slut vibes.

Not only that, but the first time she sees them again in 10 years, and he answers the door of his house, half dressed and acting like a jerk. Then a young woman walks down the stairs with no clothes on and handcuffs on her wrists, talking crazy mind you, this is supposed to be a business meeting. I personally had zero clue why she was attracted to him. Just because he was described as devastatingly handsome does not mean your libido is going to go crazy when he is acting like that. Especially because she had already walked out on him once for being a jerk it made no sense that she would then be attracted to him again for doing the things that she walked out on him for.

So anyways, she needs him to save her company because they are in hot water. Her business partner got caught being a pedophile. Now all the investors have backed out…… so let’s just pause real quick. Her business partner was messing with underage girls and there is almost 0 outrage . Our FMC meets him for lunch and house conversations with him. It’s insane to her meeting the MC jerk. She needs his money and he wants to take advantage of her one thing leads to another and she somehow bargains a good deal. Now they have to fly halfway across the world to meet this investor. Only it turns out our MMC personally knows this investor. Oh, did I mention the investor is in the Italian mafia? He’s second in line to running the entire thing. Oh, and one more thing, our MMC and him were lovers and completely in love back in university. This was the most awkward interactions. I have read in a long time. The mafia investor was seriously hitting on the FMC all the while pining for the MMC. It became so convoluted. I rolled my eyes, and I would skip through pages. On night, one her in the mail, investor are sucking face after the MMC gets upset and excuses himself from the dinner table randomly. Then she starts showing lovey-dovey emotions again to the MMC right away. I felt like the multiple homosexual relationships that popped out of nowhere felt forced. It also literally came out of nowhere! Towards the end, it randomly mentions the female main characters one sexual encounter with her best friend no less. Apparently it was the most amazing orgasm she had ever had in her life, and it took her years and years to get over it. The one to take the top place of orgasm giving is the MMC.

I honestly think that is enough. There were more issues I had with the book but at this point, I feel like I’m retelling the entire thing. I was going to get this book 3 stars but as I typed it out, I realized I couldn’t.

Although it took me 40% of the book to get fully into it, once it picked up? I could NOT put it down!! The writing style at some points were hard to follow, but it was still well worth the read. I have not read the first 2 books, and i was not lost at all. It is like an interconnected stand alone.

From the sunny streets of LA to the rainy jungle of Argentina, June and Dallas have a nice slow burn, almost enemy to lover type dynamic going on. Navarro had me questioning from the moment he was introduced. Lots of secrets! Have you guessing what is happening the entire way through!!!

-Forced proximity
- Second Chance
-LGBTQ
-Secret past

Possible Triggers
-Spiking drink
-Kidnapping

I dropped in late to the series but this is a standalone

"because you would rather die in your recycled plastic sword in your pink bubble of righteous goodness than admit I'm right"

Wholly Shittake- who didn't have a secret jammed way back in their closet?
I thought this was going in a certain direction and the next thing I knew I was trying to survive a serious WTF twist that I never saw coming

I did feel for Dallas when part of his past was revealed.
And Navarro...
I wanted to be angry with him but...
June? I was torn at times with her behaviors

These two played hardball with each other
Seriously both could hold a grudge like it was nobody's business

A different kind of read for me
A second chance at love
A bit of, actually, a whole lot of WTH moments
Some steamy smexy time
Some groveling
Splashes of humor
Dotted with moments of suspense
All brought together creating a pretty entertaining read

She loved him so much and they seemed to have a great future ahead of them until he ruined it all by leaving. She swore she would never do business with him ever again but unfortunately he is the only one who can help her. How will he help her? How will she get on? Can it get better for her? See how it all goes

This is a must read! This book was captivating from start to finish with such a twist at the end! June is such a strong female lead.

Addictive, complex, and nicely spiced - preoccupation and obsession, for business and emotion, drive finance professionals at the top of their game, forsaking all else - until everything starts to unravel, feelings emerge, and nothing turns out as expected. A fun ride, more substance than the usual semi-dark romance, and definitely for adults.

This was definitely different than anything I’ve read. Even though the brewing romance is in the forefront, this story has a lot going on. A lot of twists and turns as well. The first half felt like one story and that it was leading one way, but then drastically turned. I felt like this could have been a movie. It’s definitely adult contemporary and the basis is the things we do for love, money and power. Great storyline and plot as well. An interesting read and I enjoyed the banter between the main characters. I wish we had an epilogue to satisfy me with their HEA though.

It’s a story that keeps you saying, “just one more page.” The Closer gives you tension, drama, love, romance, loneliness, and so much more. The author sucks you in hook line and sinker. A book that’s part of a series but could very well be read as a standalone novel. And one I struggled to put down.
June needs money, and the only person who may be willing to help her out is a man she loathes. He not only accused her but ran her into the mud after one of his investments failed, so how can she trust him? But she’s desperate, and she never would’ve gone to Dallas otherwise. Unfortunately he’s also the one who got away and even after 10 years those feelings are still bubbling at the surface. One drunken/trippy night and a trip to Argentina later she really starts to wonder what she got herself into.
Dallas has a chance to make things right, however he’s not going to just bend to her demands. He wouldn’t be good at what he did otherwise. Yet one night she spoke his language when she challenged him to the best of 3 games of pool with a potential deal on the line. One problem: how is he going to fund it? He’s known to have made some shady dealings. Will this be any different? He can’t resist helping her, he’s wanted her for the last 10 years and is an idiot that he lost her. Unfortunately Navarro is standing in their way.
Will Navarro disrupt the reconciliation?
Is Dallas able to find the capital to invest in June’s business after the former CEO wrongs her?
So much going on! So many questions come to mind. Which leads back to my previous remark of not wanting to put the book down. You don’t want to wait for the answers. I know I sure didn’t.

The Closer is Book 3 in The Hustlers Series and wow.....I loved this enemies to lovers story, with dark and twisty secrets, romance, drama and chemistry off the charts between June and Dallas. While this book could be read as a standalone I highly recommend reading this series in order as characters are intertwined into this final book in the series. I am sad this series is over as I love the characters so much but I am also looking forward to more in the future from this talented author.

June is in need of help when a scandal hits one of her start up companies and the investor catch wind and starts pulling away. The one thing June did NOT want to rely upon for help was from Dallas Evener...the same man she never wanted to deal with ever again as their past history has been nothing nice. Dallas is arrogant and gets what he wants....all business...and also wants June to give a big portion on her company for his help. When June is at her wits end and makes a deal with Dallas for the financial help that she needs....things can get dirty. Dallas is plagued by the past and hidden secrets.....with it all said and done...will Dallas help June out of financial worry while the chemistry between them continues to spark with un-deniability?

Definitely read and find out.. This story took me one a roller coaster of emotions....I loved every page!

Whoa! Did that just happen? What a shock! This writing in here just drew me in. I loved all the bantering/bickering between Dallas and June (Enemies to Loves is a favorite trope of mine). As well as how the author told us of a past between them but never really got to the nitty gritty of it until later in the story (nail-biting at times). June stayed pretty true to form through most of the book but Dallas was ever changing and ended up in a different place than when he started. I really liked the build up between these two and as the story unfolded. At times I wasn’t sure if they should be together or let them go their own way.

Secondary characters are wonderful! We met her friends and their companions in the last couple books. They did not disappoint and held true to form as they all helped June through this debacle she found herself in. Then there is that pesky dark unknown guy who was so difficult to figure out. He embodies the darker side of the story but I was in a quandary about him as much as June. He played his part well but I wonder…….

As usual the author wrote an amazing story. Well built characters that surprised me. I held on as we traversed the ups and downs on their business side as well as these twos personal lives. The suspense and deeply emotional parts left me baffled at times. Overall a good ending for these three friends.

June and Dallas were former business allies, with a sizzling passion always circling around them until something happened and they broke up. Now, years later, June needs help for her company and the only person that can do this is Dallas. Even though she isn't very excited about it, she's run out of options. The thing is, that she is still attracted to him and knows that there is a slight chance for them to get together. At the same time, her company is really important to her. In order for them to fix everything perfectly, they have to fly to Argentina to finish the job and from then on their love adventure begins.

I really liked them together as a couple. Even though they had quite an angst between each other, I couldn't miss the never ending pull of their hearts. Their story is full of redemption, twists and turns at every corner and very emotional. The spice was very good, and I loved finally seeing them together.

Well, I have a lot of things to say.

I still have so many questions. If Dallas is a billionaire, why couldn't he give June the $40 mill she needed out of pocket? He also never really explained why she needed to come with him to Argentina. This is also supposed to be an "enemies to lovers dark romance", but the enemies wasn't really present? He spread roumors about her, she was mad, they didn't talk for 10 years and then they did. It felt, at best, like a dislike mixed with attraction type of story. Also, wtf happened with Cliff? I'm still not sure if he was arrested for being a p/d0 or just for SA, either is horrible and I'm still kind of "??" about the fact that June kind of just brushed it off, but it is what it is, I guess. Also, the comment about Argentina being "a place for cheap plastic surgery & kidnapping" and then switching to it being "the Paris of America"? Who approved that? Moreover, I can't with Navarro calling June a "historian" because she said she read that Argentina had a big "Italian influence"... I laughed, truly, ridiculous. I also didn't really understand the attraction from Dallas to June. I could kind of see it from June's POV, but Dallas just felt pretty surface level beyond the "she reminds me of my first love", who, I might add, was an older woman that basically seduced a 17 yo. And, what's up with the "twins" comments at the end? Why would you say that?

Anyways, the 3 stars, which are actually 2.75, I'm giving it is because Navarro and Dallas' relationship was so interesting and added so much nuance to a pretty standard character like Dallas. The chemistry between them was so much more aparent and charged than that of Dallas and June because of the way June saw it (and I still can't believe she had to have it spelled out to her that they were lovers) and how Dallas thought of Navarro and how affected they still both were by the other. I was pretty much set on giving this 2-1.5 stars but once Navarro appeared, I wanted to know more. I actually wish this was Dallas and Navarro's backstory instead of Dallas and June's story. The snippets we get of how they met each other, how their relationship developed and fell apart had me so invested and I wish I could've seen more of them, as tragic as they were.

Tbh, when the ML and his ex-flame's relationship is more interesting than your main pairing, something is wrong. If curious, it's decent entertainment, but don't expect much more.

The Closer (The Hustlers Trilogy) by Rowan Rossler - Review by Jessica Stone

This is the third and final book in The Hustlers Trilogy and I feel like it was a good close out for this series.

I'm pretty big on forced proximity romances, something about the angst that build when forced into close quarters with someone you hate but at the same time want to rip their cloths off, gets me hooked everytime. Which brings us to the premise of this story, our FMC June ends up in a bad situation due to some terrible things going on with her business trouble, and now her only way to fix things and not lose her company lies in the hand of an old flame that burned to hot and scorched her 10 years ago. Meet Dallas, the old flame. At first I couldn't really stand this guy, he very much started off as a whinny rich guy, complaining a bit and definitely hard headed, but as this book progressed and the relationship between June and him grew, I find myself relating to his pain in a sense and enjoying him immensely. I love June, I do, part of the story I found myself begging her to push everything aside, let the past go and take what/who you love, the other half I was screaming red flagggg leave so my emotions with this particular book were very high.

Im pretty interested in reading more from this author, I feel these books were well written, fun to read and easy to start immersed in. I would definitely suggest if possible to read the first two story's in this trilogy, but I do believe that this book can be read on its own if you can't get your hands on or don't want to read the first two. That being said, this series is really good and not reading the first two books would be missing out.

The Closer touches on a lot of emotion between June and Dallas. Lust and attraction bring tension when mixed with the frustration and anger of past experiences with one another. There's the feelings of wonder and magnetism while fear of heartache and disappointment in past choices war with one another on top of the stress June is already dealing with life events that leads her back to Dallas - who has been beating himself up for 10 years since June left him last.

Out of desperation, June approaches the insanely Dallas to ask him to invest in her to help. He is known for being aggressive in his work and she knows the way things could turn out, but she has no other choice. Dallas has been beating himself up for a decade over how things ended last time, but he had earned his reputation and can't bring himself to help. Bolstered by drinks and desperation, June makes a last ditch effort to Dallas that she can't afford to lose by a "best of 3" bet after a few drinks. It turns out June should not have been as confident in her skills as she thought and finds herself accompanying Dallas on a trip to Argentina. Before she knows it, she finds herself wondering if this trip with her ex was worth it. Along the way, we are introduced to Navarro to throw a wrench in their reconciliation.

There were multiple branches to this story, but it is interesting and well put together. There's enough strife to have you rooting for the past couple but it isn't so strong that you really feel they are enemies - more like they hurt one each others feelings and they get overreacting for an entire decade, but the prose is engaging and I was constantly interested in finding out what happens next. A fast read that kept me following for way more pages than I should have in one sitting at start to finish. Can be read as a standalone.

The Closer: An Enemies to Lovers Dark Romance is the third and final book in The Hustlers Trilogy by Rowan Rossler. Urgh! This was such a bittersweet read for me- on one hand, I was excited to get the next instalment of the series and find out more about June, and Dallas….. but on the other hand, I didn’t/don’t want to say goodbye to this superb series, or characters.
Seriously though, this series just seems to have gotten better with each new instalment, and that is testament to Ms. Rossler’s storytelling and writing talents. I really did love everything about the books/series- and I’m sad that this is the last – but excited to see what Ms. Rossler might have up her sleeve on offer next!
This is a fantastic enemies to lovers contemporary romance with drama, suspense, chemistry, sizzle, tension, angst, past pain, dynamic characters, and much more. Again, as with the previous books, the characters were fully developed individuals, and the story was not only engrossing, but also sizzled off the pages. The author also managed to weave intrigue, drama, and more than a little tension into her storyline- which, again, made for an unputdownable read.
June and Dallas have a complicated history that overshadows everything. June never wanted to see him, ever again, after what happened— but her budding business’s future is riding on her getting a major cash injection, which means having to face him again, with hat in hand. Mmmmmm awkward much! What ensues makes for a really great read.
I definitely recommend this book, and the series- they are well worth the read.
Looking forward to more from Ms. Rossler in the (near) future!
Happy reading!

Thank you, Rowan Rossler!

The Closer is the perfect mix of intrigue and romance, and it is also my favorite of the series!!!!

This book caught my attention from the very first words and kept me enthralled until the last page! June has to face the man she detests and ask him to give her the money to save her startup project after a scandal threatens to crush her dreams. Dallas seems to have the magic touch where business is concerned, and June really needs that magic. However, she is NOT a fan of his terms and she isn’t quite sure where his money comes from. She isn’t an idiot, so she puts her personal feelings aside to save her company. From that first meeting, the action begins, so buckle up for the ride!

Both June and Dallas are complicated and complex characters. Dallas is more steeped in mystery, and that helps speed the story along. In addition, they are both intelligent and headstrong! For all of their animosity towards one another, they have a lot of the same qualities. The chemistry is sizzling, and it adds another layer to an already great book. The plot is great with so many twists and turns, and Rossler is a fantastic writer. She has given her readers a very smart romance putting her in a genre of her own!

I have read both of the previous books in the series, and I have enjoyed them. However, there was something really special about this one. Rossler was spot on when she described it as “Romancing the Stone” meets “The Wolf of Wall Street.” It was the perfect combination of intrigue and one simmering romance. If you have the opportunity to read this series, don’t miss it. The Closer is the icing on the cake!!!

When I say that the twists and turns Rossler threw at me in this book had me absolutely blindsided and flabbergasted...I mean it! At one point, my husband looked over and asked why my face looked like that and all I could say was I didn't see that plot twist coming so…just beware that you will make faces, audibly gasp, and definitely loose sleep reading this book! And if that doesn't make you want to get it right now then I don't know what will. Maybe the excruciatingly slow burn between Dallas and June (who've been at each other's throats for years) will intrigue you. Or maybe the inadvertent foray into the seedy underbelly of the South American mafia. Or maybe forced proximity...enemies-to-lovers...a curvy, voluptuous (done perfectly THANK YOU so much Ms. Rossler) take-no-shit FMC who absolutely dominates and can hold her own vs a hot-as-hell damaged MMC who has been pining after the FMC but could never admit it. I mean...what more could you want? And the spice...I mean once we finally get there (and trust me...the burn on the way is so, so good) is just out-of-this-world fantastic. I could not put this book down. It is the third installment in the Hustlers series but you can definitely read it as a standalone...I did. But am I going to go back and read the first two books...abso-freakin-lutely! Rowan Rossler has peaked my interest with this book and she will definitely be on my radar for new releases!

It's more of a 3.5/3.75 read for me.

If I'm honest, I struggled a little bit to get into The Closer. While we are thrown straight into the fact that Dallas and June are enemies, there is a lack of backstory to fully explain what happened between them. Although some things are hinted at throughout the story as they grow closer, there's never a definite reveal, which I feel would have helped me understand them both more.
The rest of the book seemed to have that murky feel too, where things weren't quite clear-cut or explained in great detail. The involvement of the mafia and Dallas's ex added interesting twists and elements of danger, but it also still left me with questions. There were moments when Dallas and Navarro were alone during the trip, which were never fully explained, and we, like June, were left in the dark about it. I suppose the book took on more of a thriller feel than romance, as I could sense there was something not quite right with the situation the main characters find themselves in from the onset, but we never really learn of the plan until it happens.
The book's redeeming factor for me was the character development, as they showed some vulnerability and realness, which in turn made them more likeable than the business-focused, mean people that had previously been portrayed.

This is the 3rd and final book in The Hussler Series. This series has been really enjoyable and a part of me feels sad that it's now over. This is a steamy second chance enemies to lovers romance. There is so many twists and turns in this story that I wasnt sure if they would get their happy ever after. The author does an incredible job with the characters, they were so likeable even when Dallas was being cocky and arrogant i still couldn't help but like him.

Dallas and June have a complicated past. They had chemistry and a chance of something special but one incident blew all that to pieces.
June is now a successful business woman. She has fought to get to where she is today and she made a promise that she would never do business with Dallas.
However her business is now on the rocks and the only person who can inject some money into it is the one person she doesn't want to do business with.
When Dallas and June meet the sparks fly again but can they mix business with pleasure. Dealing with someone in business when there is sexual chemistry between them is a risky move but isn't most things in business risky?
Could this be the the second chance for them to find their happy ever after with each other? Can they become a successful partnership in both their personal and professional relationships? Or will something happy that will tear them apart and cost them everything?

June and Dallas were in stoppable as a duo but when there relationship broke down she swore she would not want anything Dallas has to offer, until now. June's business is failing and when her investor pulls the plug there is only really one place to go, Dallas.

Although people around town talk about him can I put my feelings aside to help my business or will the clauses he puts in place be for the business or me.

Dallas is thrilled that June has come back into his life, but can he be the knight she requires or will the past be too much for her to forgive. Setting June up with his friend to invest is the best scenario but does she have the feelings I buried ten years ago when she left.

This is the third book in this series and can be read as a stand alone story. Like the others this is full of twists and turns which is a slow burn at the beginning but becomes epic by the end and will have you scrambling to finish to see what happens. The character of June was brilliant and sassy, full of what she wanted and was not afraid to go after it. Dallas is a fiery Alpha make character which with June make an explosive couple. The secondary characters add an air of twist which is great to read.

I can't wait to read books for this author.

Dallas and June first met about 10 years ago but things didn't go well for them. Dallas thought June turned in some information and ruined a company for him, costing him millions of dollars.

June has spent 2 years working on a new company and because of an internal scandal, she requires money or she could lose her company and have wasted the past 2 years. She has only one person she can ask, Dallas. This is the absolute last person she wants to go to.

June and Dallas are both dedicated and hard-working. There is something they don't deal with though. The attraction they had for one another when they first met and as much as they want to hate one another, they can't deny it in their hearts.

The Closer (The Hustlers Trilogy) by Rowan Rossler

The Closer is the third book in The Hustlers Trilogy and is a wonderfully written Enemies to Lover’s Dark Romance that once you start reading there’s no stopping until you’ve finished. I literally devoured this book in one afternoon because I simply had to know what was going to happen next. This can be read as a standalone but I’d recommend reading this series in order as each book is so good. This story is packed with drama, secrets, explosive chemistry, action , romance and plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing till the end. June and Dallas, she’s in desperate need of help when a scandal strikes . Once the investors catch wind they slowly start to back out which leaves June in a situation she didn’t want to be in. Dallas is a business man who gets what he wants when he wants it. He doesn’t take no for an answer. These two have a history and their chemistry is off the charts. Can she save her company without destroying her heart in the process? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m already looking forward to reading more from this Author.

This is an author that I have enjoyed reading from the first book I picked up. I enjoy their writing style as well as their attention to details that make the story come to life. This is the final story in this series which I highly suggest reading all the books in this series. This will help with your enjoyment of the characters as well as this author’s writing skills. This is one of my favorites of the series which gets better and better with each story. I enjoyed how the characters pulled me into their world from the start. They kept the story engaging and hard to put down. A story where you expect the unexpected. A romance that neither character expects to happen. Will they be able to close their deal? I enjoyed watching these characters grow as well as their off the charts attraction. I found this book easy and entertaining to read. It is fast paced and one you don’t want to miss for sure. I really enjoyed this book and the characters had me coming back for more. I highly recommend this book.

June and Dallas's story was an interesting one to read. It's a good stand-alone, but I would definitely start at book 1 to get the background stories of the characters that you see. The start of the book was a little slow going, but after a few chapters, it does pick up! And oh boy does it pick up. June is at risk at losing her company that she has put blood sweat and tears into, and because of an inside scandal, she loses her one investor and she is needing money. The last person she doesn't want to turn to, is Dallas. Unfortunately, she has no choice. Dallas can get her the money, but she has to follow and do whatever he says. The storyline and story building were really good! It went at a good pace and man just when you think you've figured it all out, Rowan throws you a curveball out of nowhere, and now you are back to square one. I really loved reading this book, and now I'm definitely going back to read the previous books, and her other books!

This is the third book in the in the Hustlers series

I did not read the other 2 books before this one and can be read as a stand-alone.

This is a multi-pov- Not all chapters say whose POV it is but it will be from the POV of the most recent. (Ie: Ch. 1 says June but 2 and 3 have no name but you know it is still June.)

This is an easy read and can suck you in from the first page to the last. It is a slow burn but the spice be spicing when it does happen.

I do not feel like this can be considered dark romance- however, there are parts of it that others may see as “dark” and be triggered (Spiking drinks, kidnapping). This would be a good introduction though, for those who do feel this is a dark romance.

MMC and FMC used to work together, when things went south they took their separate ways but when the FMC finds herself in a bind with her company she turns to the MMC for financial assistance. While he gives her an offer she doesn’t want to accept she has no choice. Due to this, they have to be close again and that's when all the fun starts. Secrets are let out, jealousy, possessiveness, and one hell of a plot. This does end in a HEA.

The Closer (The Hustlers Trilogy) by Rowan Rossler. This is the 3rd book in the Hustler's Series and its a great read. Its a enemies to lovers romance about June who is fearing her start up company is about to fail and Dallas Evener who she had a very hot and steamy romance with years ago that blew up. Dallas is the only one that can possibly save her company. Even though she hates to reach out to him she knows she has to. She can let him help her with her company and move one but deep down even she knows that is going to be hard. Dallas is so arrogant and rich and thinks he can do whatever he wants and get by with it. June just needs his money to help her through this chaos with her company but being around Dallas brings up all the old memories, good and bad. Will they be able to work together and not get involved again. This book can be read as a standalone but I prefer reading them in order!

I am voluntarily leaving a review after receiving an ARC from Hidden Gems.

It was different but interesting. June and Dallas have a contentious relationship. They were business allies until a rumor broke them a part. There had always been an attraction between them, but they never truly acted on it. Now June's company is in need of an infusion of money. She turns to Dallas, a Venture Capitalist, for help. This is where the story takes an interesting turn. Dallas secures the money from an old acquaintance, but they have to fly to Argentia to meet him. Things don't go as planned.

The story is a second chance romance meets with a dark mafia. The story flowed well, but it left me baffled. It is like the story started out one way, took an interesting turn, and then reverted back to how it started.

This emotional rollercoaster will have you guessing until the end. There were lots of twists and turns. I was there for them all. This author managed to bring back all the characters from the series and wrap it up nicely.

When June is at her wits end, she decides her only choice is her nemesis. June chooses to approach Dallas, the biggest, wealthiest, and cockiest venture capitalist in the business. They have had a checkered past. It leads them to this moment in time. June needing help, Dallas looking for his next big success.

Dallas accidently links their lives together with one invitation. In such a short time, Dallas and June become so much more than business partners. Not giving any details, can’t give it away.

The author rips your heart out and then puts it back with love and care. Read this book. Read this series. Beautifully written.
