This is book four in the series and must be read after books one, two, and three. This description contains spoilers for previous books, so if you haven't read them, turn back now!
Anna is challenged at every turn as she tries to get Blaze back his freedom. The whole team is determined to take the fighting ring down. With other threats remaining even after defeating Killian, will the team be able to survive and remain together?
While some relationships are struggling, others thrive. With all her mates surrounding her, Anna has a chance at the future she never dreamed of having.
*This is a medium burn, paranormal, reverse harem, meaning she doesn’t have to choose, and is book four in the series. The story changes POVs between the main character and her men. The steaminess factor will increase as the series continues and is intended for 18+. This book ends on a cliff hanger*
The way that I have come to absolutely adore Aksel is actually wild when I reflect back on book 1. The growth in his character alone is insane.
We are now completely focused on plots 3 or is it 3 and 4? Hard to say at this point. But the whole Killian and stalker plot lines were wrapped up in the previous books so now we are getting more into the fighting and drug rings.
Rion and his relationship with Anna really develop and turns a massive corner here. To be honest, I don’t know why she is hesitant to mate with him at this point but what can ya do?
Blaze makes some mistakes but actively works to try to be and do better, apologizes and grovels (as he should) for Anna.
As usual, Felix and Griffyn are perfect and the gold standard of mates. Things are definitely looking bleak by the end of this book for our merry little group of supernaturals though.
The is a supernatural why choose. The FMC is a Vampire and is a strong FMC character. Felix (leopard shifter), Griffyn (Incubus), Blaze (Dragon Shifter), Rion (vampire), and Aksel (dark fae) are her mates.
Anna and her men are at it again. They are trying to take down a fighting ring and now the counsel. This is not without its challenges.
There is plot and so much spice.
This is one of my favorite fantasy series! This book ends on a cliffhanger.
For being such short books so much ground is covered without leaving any rock unturned. We see Anna coming into her own with her guys even more and setting boundaries and not just taking poor behavior with her belly up.
I love where this book took our team despite the terrible cliff hanger (as per the DM Page way) and I can’t wait for the next book but also crushed it’ll be the last one for this series!
I read this book as an ARC and totally loved it. I loved watching the current relationships blossom and the others continue to move in that direction. All the guys give her something important and different. The story keeps going and there are twists that I never see coming. I can’t wait for the next and final book in the series!
1.5 stars - how do these books have such high ratings?! These books were recommended in a book group I’m in but each book I read in the series just gets worse and worse. Like seriously this book just dragged and dragged. In all honestly I could not feel really any chemistry outside of Felix and Griffyn and the ending of this like dude. I’m not going to start the next one this is just so blah.
I adore this series and these characters. The way they all continue to make small mistakes but (generally) communicate about them really adds to the growing stability of their relationships. I can't wait to see what happens next!
Though I know my slumpy mood is the main reason I feel this way, finishing this series feels like a chore I really want to get over with at this point. By the third book, I think it had already lost its grip on me.
She’s still not mated to everyone. And I’m not engaged with this storyline. I think if there wasn’t a bedroom scene in every chapter the flow might be better.
