I’m paying for the sins I’ve committed against the leaders of Synd and I’m failing miserably. Restitution in our world often comes with a bullet in the head, but they’ve demanded something else. Something more. I didn’t think it would be hard to muddle my way through ruling in their stead. Until Ember Hayes showed up, dragging with her every memory I buried long ago. I haven’t seen her since I threw her out of my house ten years ago for her involvement in my sister’s death. Despite the pull between us, I can’t afford to be drawn into her orbit. Nothing will change between us, no matter what fate demands. I just didn’t realize my payment to fate would be my heart.

When I stumble into Synd, my resolve is waning—exhausting weighing me down. I don’t have it in me to repair my relationship with Roman Drake. We’re forever at odds and nothing will change that, no matter what happens between us. When I ran from him the first time, I took my shattered heart with me. This time, I might end up leaving it behind with him.

Beyond that he Shadows (Shadows of Synd Book 5)
I so enjoy this series I wish it would never end but that is life my friend.
I can’t wait to see what happens next. I have great faith all will come together with all the gang, including Aelia, coming together again with more exciting things to come. Sex, love, battles, the girls all taking out bad people, I hope making them suffer for being so evil to others. I enjoy the loving strong protective women you have created in your books.

It was crazy good. I loved every minute of reading it. While having its own twists and turns it fills in any edges left from other books to make a smooth and complete as a series. There is something about Roman and Ember that soothes me. There are still some questions that will be cleared up in the spin off, but this book brought closure I didn’t know I needed. The perfect capstone for the Shadows of Synd series.

Emilia knocked it all the way out of the park with this surprise 5th novel of the Shadows of Synd novel, telling Roman and Ember’s story. Roman has taken over running the not so legal side of Synd while the others head off to Rima to take on the Guild. This series is everything you could ever need that includes stories portraying mafia leaders and the leaders of an MC. Definitely recommend.

Absolutely amazing addition to the Sync series.
I loved Beyond the Shadows, the love story between Roman and Ember was so good. And the spicy scenes were amazing. I loved watching them try o puck up the pieces from the last book, try to hold everything together all why trying to not get killed. If you have note read the Shadows of Sync series you are missing out!

Ok ok ok.... Roman and Ember might have slid in for my favorite couple! This book was SPICY!!!!! THIS WAS EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED TO FINISH UP THIS SERIES!!! if you haven't read this series what are you doing with yourself???
