I picked this up at a local library. It's full of fantastic techniques I haven't seen anywhere else. Everything is simply but thoroughly explained and clearly illustrated and diagrammed in color. The fashions are dated but with only a little creative thinking you can come up with an infinite number of clever and beautiful items. I wish this were still in print!

I found a copy online and now own the book. Yay! Sometimes I've missed all the books at the Connecticut libraries that I no longer have access to, but at least i have this one. :)

This book is a must have! I bought it because of it's in depth information about crochet. There's regular crochet, tunisian crochet, crochet lace, and more. There's quite a few patterns as well. I definitely will try to make one of the vintage patterns from here like the lace curtains, mohair scarf, and beret & dress combo.

A great resource for knitting and crochet. less so for the many types of embroidery included in the text. Most embroidery entries are a basic explanation of the type of embroidery with a few examples and stitches used.
