This book is like the ultimate go to book for whenever you want to know what your dream means. If you dream about spoons, brushing your hair, or whatever, this book will tell you what it means. I don't exactly know how accurate all of it is, but its still interesting. This book also shows you the origins of when dreams where first documented and also how to have better sleep. Overall it was an interesting and factual book.

I was a bit disappointed in this book. Nothing wrong with the book, just it didn’t provide the answers I was looking for.

Otherwise, it’s a very nice book, full of colorful illustrations. There are short sections on the physiology of sleep (REM sleep, where we have our dreams, and all that), dreams and dream interpretations in the ancient world (Egyptian, Roman, Biblical, etc.), and the psychology of dreams (Freud, Jung, and their successors). There is also a section at the end about remembering and controlling your dreams.

But most of the book is composed of a list of images or motifs often found in dreams and suggestions of possible positive and negative messages that may be associated with them. Most of the interpretations appear to be drawn from primitive or folk traditions rather than the psychological implications. A surprising number of these seem to indicate current states of mind or predictions of the future.

I thought it was extremely simple which was disappointing. I was expecting something complex and interesting. I was hoping to learn something new but I felt that these were all obvious things that everyone hears.

I don't really remember my dreams, but this is a pretty book and could be useful.

Everything was too brief, it should have carved deeper into the subjects presented.
