The gravely wounded Batman is missing. Meanwhile, the warring hero camps have called a temporary truce as they come together for the burial of a fallen comrade. Happier times are recalled for Green Arrow, Green Lantern and Black Canary. But there's no ignoring the anger that runs deep and no doubt that the resistance to Superman's New World Order is about to heat up again.

The funeral of Oliver Quinn is a much more tense affair than I expected. Beautifully written, the backstory, featuring Green Arrow, Green Lantern and Black Canary hanging out back in the day, well, they paid off empathy-wise, with Green Lantern electing to stay with superman after it all. And speaking of superman, how dare he show his face and call killing Oliver an accident! How dare he.
I'm still in the midst of reading the first series of Injustice: Gods Among Us but I just couldn't resist reading the first issue of Year Two since it was free on Comixology. I got myself spoiled but I do have an idea of how things played out since I played the game which occurs some years after the events of the digital comics.
It's an excellent single issue story and parallels the events of the first issue of Year One; only this time, it's Superman on the other of side.
Sombre beginning to the new season .. Awesome. This series was a companion to the game of the same name and pits heroes in DC universe against each other.
I have always loved comics, and I hope that I will always love them. Even though I grew up reading local Indian comics like Raj Comics or Diamond Comics or even Manoj Comics, now's the time to catch up on the international and classic comics and Graphic novels. I am on my quest to read as many comics as I can. I Love comics to bit, may comics never leave my side. I loved reading this and love reading more, you should also read what you love and then just Keep on Reading.
Hmm. This is starting to fall into a soap, rinse and repeat pattern. We have this general plotline where one extra hero who knows nothing about the situation gets introduced, one more exasperating villain is added and lots of people die. Lots.
You knew the Game of Thrones comparison was coming.
So the series motto is:
All men must die...and since Superman, contrary to popular belief, is not a man, he continues his increasingly stupid rampage of angst across the globe.
Reading Green Lantern's actions, I be like:
The dude literally seems to have lost his mind. When you see the Sinestro corps, you don't think, you just hope a planet falls on them. Or make it happen.
Reading Hal, Dinah and Ollie's friendship flashback at the start:
That. Was. Amazing.
Looking at Batman's super painful situation and the equally painful inclusion of the Birds of Prey:
I feel bad for Bats. Dammit, why do you have to be noble till the end? Be careful, Dinah...
Realizing that a potentially great character dies within one page of his introduction:
WHAT JUST HAPPENED?
Sigh. I just want Kal-El to die. Somebody please make it happen.
Excellent color artwork. Black Canary against Superman? Oliver Queen supposedly dead? Looks like a DC version of Marvel's civil war? Better than another flashpoint at least.
This was such a fantastic return to the Injustice Series. It opened up with such a refreshing funny scene between Hal, Oliver and Dinah leading me into a false sense of comfort, because I forgot what happened in the end of Injustice Year 1.
When reality slapped me in the face I was startled. Especially with everything that happened after it. This is really such a great series and I can't wait to see where it goes this year. If it's anything like Year 1 I am in for a wild ride!
My rating for all Year Two. The beginning is not that good, not up to year One... got bored sometimes with the GL & Sinestro thing... The final battle is epic: it's the best part of the series so far.
Dinah and Hal reflects their past friendship, family and friends attended the funeral of Queen, Dinah confronted Hal and Superman. We have a new oracle in town!
The dialogues were well written, but I really didn't care about the whole "friendship is magic" message.
