Beneath the tailored suits and silk shirts beats a heart with no mercy.
My billions lie on top of broken souls and tortured endings.
I am evil and I accept I always will be.
My plan. To hide behind innocence to play my enemies at their own game and bring them down.
I have the perfect weapon.
I rescued an angel who believes I am a good man.
Noble, charitable, fair, and true.
She desires me, craves my wicked touch, and drowns in my depravity.
She is pure. I am evil.
She is my fair lady — my Eliza Doolittle if you like. A blank canvas on which I will create a masterpiece. Somebody to fool the most discerning eye.
But I am no gentleman. I am the man she fears the most. The devil waiting behind the mountain range.
I will teach her how to be my perfect woman and she will thank me for it.
I am the master of the game.
She doesn’t even realize we are playing one.
She signed a contract inked in tears and sealed with blood. Now she is mine and there is nothing she can do about that because hidden in the small print — she gifted me her soul.
Revenge, a marriage contract, and a devastating betrayal.
For fans of dark mafia romance and hard-fought happy endings. Mad chaotic scenes and devilish behavior. Steamy, intense, and shocking. You have been warned.
DNF @ 19% - hero is a melodramatic douche canoe who allowed his secretary (who doubles as his whore) to run a sex trafficking operation. She only gets fired because she grabbed the wrong girl this time. The heroine being named “Purity” from the town “Heaven” is just a little too on the nose. 🤡

DNF - This is no love story/romance, nor it is one that could ever become one. I dislike weak women who initially are billed as strong and independent when in actuality are not.
I have read 45% of this book and am having a very difficult time with Killian's and Purity's characters. Killian is definitely "pure evil". Authors have created plenty of evil men in this genre, but like a serial killer' Killian believes that what he does is for HIS greater good with everyone else merely being collateral damage. I have read many dark characters in this genre that were sociopaths, narcissist's, psychopaths etc., but have never read a character like Killian's that possess' traits of all three disorders. Stories that need to destroy all self respect of the MFC in order to boost the evil MMC's asinine behavior to beyond evil, becomes a cliché used by some authors to sell books. This apparently works for some readers whereas it doesn't for others. Yes, this is dark romance but even that has it's limits of believability and there is only so much humiliation a reader can experience through a character before it becomes predictable.
Purity's character initially begins as a smart, independent young woman, who runs from a cult to get a better life. She is too naïve for my taste especially after the near miss with Gabriella only to fall into the hands of Killian. She apparently didn't get the connection between Gabriella being his assistant and Killian being the devil when she agreed to his bogus contract which she didn't even fully understood, but signed.
The nasty way Kill takes her virginity with her not fighting back definitely shined a new light on Purity's character. You can only put so much emphasis on sex. There has to be a story there too; which until this point has been very so-so. She and Kill weren't married which was a big taboo for Purity and yet she let him rape her, which should have been a red flag, but wasn't. If she had tried to escape and go to Washington to be with her friend would have given her character some respectability. As it is, her character is no longer the woman she began as, becoming the malleable plaything for a monster to be used and abused at his discretion becoming his whore at night and the perfect submissive Barbie clone during the day. She is supposed to be light to his dark and yet I only see her falling down the orgasm, sexual kink rabbit hole. Her light is slowly going out as she becomes his obsession and his revenge.
The story somehow got off track and is now about the sex and degradation of Purity instead of the real story. Perhaps it gets back on track, but that will be for other readers to find out. I am moving on.
I couldn‘t stand Killian. On one side he is fucking obsessed with Purity after one talk and on the other side he constantly calls her naive. I just don‘t get why? Purity is intelligent and can look behind his charming fassade, she doesn’t trust him - so WHY THE FUCK is she naive? Doesn‘t make sense in my opinion. Then he is so obsessed with her, I know that’s normal in mafia books, but in this one there’s no tension or true reason for his obsession (only that Purity is naive?!). It feels a little bit forced, in addition on how often it was mentioned. In 28% there didn‘t happen much and I‘m just annoyed from Killian. If a book don‘t catch me after a quarter of it‘s length it‘s not worth my time.
DNF at 25%. I hate quitting a book, but I just couldn’t continue. When Purity actually seemed shocked and surprised at the fact it took more than one time at trying to get pregnant I needed to stop reading. She was annoyingly naive and I’ve read a lot of books where the h is naive and annoying, but Purity took the cake.
This started off so promising and ended so "meeeeeeh". The heroine was annoyingly naive, which would have been fine if Hero had actually lived up to any of the hype surrounding him. The h does nothing interesting except act like a sheltered idiot and he's supposedly enamored by this. We're told he's "evil" but we're not shown it at all. The h talks back, disobeys and taunts him in a completely foolish fashion, I kept waiting for him to put her in her place and yet he failed to do that over and over again. One measly time he sort of punishes her, but then she gets mad about it and he apologizes and is just a complete lame bad guy. Naivety is not a rare thing and I dislike the way it's rewarded in this book. I much prefer either smart heroines or malleable heroines that the hero actually shapes to fit him, not the other way around. This book wasn't long enough to give a convincing transformation and we see no reason why they fall in love. I was hoping for a "villain gets the girl" book, but instead got a "naive yocal tames the sorta bad guy" Completely yawn-inducing forgettable book.
This was a fantastic read! Killian is a cutthroat, cold, dangerous, unforgiving, vicious, 100% alpha male. But Purity, IMO, is the star of this book. She is like her namesake, pure, innocent, native, but she’s also smart, strong, honest, forgiving, and loving. Her innocence and pure heart is what makes her so lovable. Yes Killian is truly pure evil, but when he lays eyes on her, magic truly happens. It’s from that point you are swept away for the most amazing, beautiful, challenging ride of your life. The way these two people come together, one who is always about business and handles his women the same way. It’s never intimate. No emotions involved. He’ll discard you like yesterday’s trash when you are no use to him. But Purity she knows nothing of love. Doesn’t know what a loving touch is or feels like. She has been groomed to believe her purpose in life is to serve the men in this world. She’s been taught to do as your told, speak only when spoken to, serve her man in every capacity and bare his child. Marriage to Purity is just a business contract hence what makes her perfect for Killian. A man who approaches every situation in a business like manner and who never shows emotions. Watching two people who come from completely different backgrounds, who no nothing of love, or tenderness, or a caring heart. Watching them breakdown the barriers that their hearts are encased in, is just beautiful. Purity realizing she wants the fairytale and Killian struggle with the idea of not being able to give her that because he just isn’t wired like that was amazing. I suggest that you read their story with an open mind and heart. Remember these are two people, who come from completely different backgrounds, but was raised very similarly. Watch how they both struggle to understand how their connection to each other, that unfamiliar feeling inside them, the yearning that keeps them coming back to one another, how it turns into something so magical, unexpected and beautiful.
For the romantics out there like me, you will devour this book like I did. This was a mafia book but for me it was more about two people finding something that they never knew existed and once they found it, will never let it go. I highly recommend reading Pure Evil. It’s a beautifully written love story with some grit, suspense, and surprises all rolled up together. I definitely give it two BIG thumbs up!!!
Killian Vieri is an emotionless monster that is pure evil. When he sees Purity in his office building she looks like the epitome of an angel and she is exactly what he needs to help shine up his image. He will make her an offer she can't refuse and by the time she realizes she sold her soul to the devil it will be too late!!
I liked this book, it was somewhat predictable but I liked it nonetheless. I wished that Purity had some more backbone, she could stand up more to Killian than she did. I did liked the Vieri family, so I’m curious to the others books.
This page turner was filled with nail biting suspense. It started out raw with 2 btoken people who thought love wasn't real or in their stars , little did they know riight. KIilluan turned out to be a hero, and Purity just made everyone love her . The end will have you chèering them both.. It's a beautiful, hard gritty story just the way stella Andrews does it ; have u riverted to story and leaves you wanting more and more .. I can't wait for the second book
"Pure Evil" by Stella Andrews is a dark mafia romance that delves into the complex relationship between a morally corrupt anti-hero and an innocent woman caught in his web of vengeance. The novel is a rollercoaster of emotions, filled with shocking twists, intense steamy scenes, and a constant sense of impending doom.
The story revolves around the male protagonist, a billionaire with a heart of stone, driven by a thirst for revenge. He is a master manipulator, using his wealth and power to control those around him. His primary flaw is his inability to trust, stemming from past betrayals. Despite his cold exterior, he possesses a sharp intellect and strategic mind, making him a formidable opponent. He sees the female protagonist as a pawn in his game, a means to an end. The female protagonist is portrayed as an innocent and pure woman, rescued by the male protagonist from a difficult situation. She is kind-hearted, compassionate, and sees the good in everyone. Her flaw is her naivety, which makes her vulnerable to manipulation. She is drawn to the male protagonist's power and charisma, but also fears his dark side. Their relationship is the driving force of the plot, filled with tension, desire, and betrayal. As she falls deeper under his influence, she begins to question her own values and desires.
One of the major plot twists involves the revelation of the true extent of the male protagonist's plans for revenge, which goes far beyond what the female protagonist could have imagined. Another twist occurs when a character, initially perceived as an ally, is revealed to be a traitor, adding to the sense of paranoia and uncertainty. The tone of the novel is dark, gritty, and suspenseful. Andrews creates a world filled with danger and intrigue, where nothing is as it seems. The writing style is descriptive and evocative, immersing the reader in the characters' emotions and experiences.
One of the central themes of "Pure Evil" is the corrupting influence of power. The male protagonist's wealth and status allow him to manipulate and control those around him, blurring the lines between right and wrong. The novel explores how the pursuit of revenge can consume a person, leading them down a path of darkness and destruction. Another theme is the contrast between good and evil, as embodied by the two main characters. The female protagonist's innocence is juxtaposed with the male protagonist's depravity, creating a moral conflict that drives the narrative. The novel also touches on themes of trust, betrayal, and redemption.
In closing, "Pure Evil" is a thrilling and provocative read that will leave you on the edge of your seat. Stella Andrews has crafted a compelling story with complex characters, shocking twists, and a dark, suspenseful atmosphere. If you enjoy dark mafia romances with morally gray characters and intense emotional journeys, this book is definitely worth checking out.
If you liked this book, you might also enjoy "The Sweetest Oblivion" by Danielle Lori or "Twisted Love" by Ana Huang.
So many things were wrong here, both in the story and the execution.
1) An editor or even a proofreader would have been beneficial. There were many punctuation mistakes and several instances when the dialogue from different characters was in the same paragraph, making reading the book a real challenge.
2) I think I got whiplash from Killer (who did not live up to his name TBH). He would go from "I'm going to make you fall in love with me" to "Love between us doesn't exist and it never will" in the span of a single scene. Back and forth, over and over again. And he goes from "I want to use her purity to my advantage" to "I'm going to ruin her."
Pick a damn lane and stay in it!
3) Purity is so damn annoying and her character is all over the place. She jumps from a naive, innocent virgin one minute, to a sensuous flirt the next. Her personality reminds me of if an alien came down from outer space and didn't know what humans were. There is sheltered, and there is alien... and Purity is definitely the latter!
I am still laughing at when she was signing the contract, and said, "I'm going to take a week and read this through to make sure I understand everything I'm agreeing to" and then after glancing at it, she gave up and signs it, saying she trusts Killer not to do anything shady.
Reading about a weak woman character is bad enough, but don't try and trick us into thinking she's strong when she's not - it's just insulting.
This was a wonderful read, great characters ad scenario that draws you into the scenario completely
I guarantee that you will Enjoy this book immensely, Purity appears in the previous book Brutal Sinner where you also will have read about the Dark Lords. Purity has escaped from a situation where she was being used and abused, it was a life that she did not deserve and so she had escaped from this existence.
Killian is a man that Lords is not full of good intentions, he is considering putting her back where she originally came from, determined to decimate the Dark Lords. However, this is no easy feat and he is determined to make sure that Purity is at his side, she will be safe within his care and he will never allow her to suffer any of the pain and humiliation she has previously suffered.
This is a story that is filled with lots of twists and turns and I guarantee that you will enjoy every moment of this read and that you will not put this book down until you each the end of this wonderful book.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

I always get excited when I see a new series from Stella and this new one about the “Dark Lords” is a masterpiece. We alluded to this book when we met Jonny and Faith on the Ortega Mafia” series where we also first met our FMC Purity. She came across there as a determined no nonsense girl with an escape plan and the certainty lives up to it in this book. I adore the way Stella’s books all seamlessly blend in to the next, the world building really makes her characters seem like old friends, love that we again meet characters we’ve previously met and loved here. Killian Vieri is a real alphahole who has no room in his heart for love or so her thinks! Dominant men like him are a definite turn on and the things he does to Purity as he shows her his bedroom preferences are red hot, so many scorching scenes here. Purity is a breath of fresh air, unlike no woman he’s met before. His nefarious plans for her fall by the wayside as her strength of character shows thru. We delve into the Vieri family history and meet Killians family, finding our more about the Dark Lords and their business. An exciting, intriguing book, can’t wait to find out more about Killians brother Shade in the next instalment of this story which has my full attention already.
We met Purity in Stella's last book Brutal Sinner where the Dark Lord's in this series title were also mentioned. Purity, like her friend before her, has escaped from an oppressive, abusive life. She has run to Chicago hoping to start a new life, but instead runs into Killian, a man who has every intention of putting her right back into a life that at first sight is the path to her freedom, but is in reality a different version of the life she has just escaped. Killian is a man on a mission. He wants to bring down the forces within the Dark Lords who are determined to ruin his family. He has no time for love but sees Purity as the perfect way to distract his enemies. He wants to own her, she has vowed she will never allow that to happen. Killian backs her into a corner, a contract is signed and a marriage made, May the best man or woman win. The story twists and turns as we meet Killian's family and enemies. We gain a little more insight to the Dark Lords as Stella toys with us through what is an absolutely fantastic read. If you haven't already read it grab Brutal Sinner, it will give you more of an idea of the life Purity escaped and is in itself an epic read.
Omg 🥰 what a page turner! This amazing and very thrilling, enthralling, suspenseful, over the charts chemistry and ADDICTIVELY DARK series is a definite winner ! Stella your amazing writing is addictive. I loved your Club Mafia séries, The Five Kings, The Romanos, and The Ortega Mafia. And this new one The Dark Lords is growing on me. Killian is indeed Pure Evil but with a very different definition of “Evil”. It’s like he was created with a new recipe. He constantly struggles on a daily basis with his emotions and actions until Purity’s angelic light enters his life and turns it upside down. She wears her name well as she is pure goodness who will save Killian from himself. Together they’re inseparable as “good and evil “ need each other to become PURE. I was glued to this book from the very first page. Twists and turns you don’t see coming, makes this reading a definite read! Five stars 🌟 and more! If you enjoy Dark and Addictive mafia romance, you’re definitely going to enjoy The Dark Lords series.
The plot was an average mafia romance with the pure virgin falling for the dark, evil guy. Even their names were such a cliche, Purity and Kill. Anyways to continue Purity was raised in a cult, doesn’t know anything about the outside world and Killian seems to be some kind of a sociopath who is into drugs, guns and women. The sex scenes were the cringiest, ‘ I am crying tears of happiness’ said no woman ever when a huge cock is rammed into her back entrance without any lube. Seriously what was the author thinking. I had to re-read the paragraph a couple of times. Killian literally rapes Purity who is a virgin and she feels deliciously alive. She looks into the mirror and thinks of the amazing adventure she is on. The woman needs a head transplant. Every chapter opens with Purity thinking how amazing her husband is or how lucky she is to be with such a man. Even after she learns of his true nature she just loves him and hopes love will change him. When she left her cult like home Purity had dreams of experiencing the world. In my opinion she just exchanged one prison for another.
From the begining this book had me hooked. Purity is described as a innocent and naive young women who has escaped the claws of a cult like town she was brought up in. She is impressionable and trusts to easy and when she finds her self in danger, Killian comesss to her rescue, and she deems him the good guy. Unbeknown to her he has his own agenda. As the stry develops Purity comes into her own while still having the air of innocents. Killian trys to break her but he learns a lot about himself along the way. With most mafia stories there is heavy emphasis on the mafia roles and heiarchy, where as this was quite timid and not a big part. Although Purity was being used for a plan against the enemies it was not described in great detail and didn't have much of the usual fortress/bobyguards/guns etc. At lot of areas were discussed in a few sentences after the event. This didn't dampen any of the enjoyment of this story. I enjoyed the detail sexual tension and sex scene in this book and I am keen to get on to the next book in the series.
Purity is from Heaven and is a perfect match for Killian. She is someone he never knew he needed.
What a storyline, I loved it, I was hooked from the first pages.
My heart was in my mouth when Purity went with Gabriella, I couldn’t read the kindle quick enough to make sure Purity had chance to regret a choice she made!!
I loved the innocence of Purity and how it spoke to Killian’s dark heart. How you followed the change in him through the story. Purity grew through the book, but she still kept the goodness, really like her character.
The other characters are good as well and I’m looking forward to reading more about Shade in the next book.
Watch out Jefferson, he’s coming for you ….
Nice to see Faith and Jonny and hope he and Ryder are around a bit more in the forthcoming books.
Fabulous.

Well, right from the jump, the very 1st paragraph sucked me in! It's poetic and dark and just grabbed me and pulled me right into this new world I knew nothing about. I was NOT about to argue either! As I got further into the book, it dawned on me that there was something familiar - Purity! Omgoodness how could I forget this was Purity's story, from Brutal Sinner?!?! Like her best friend, Faith, Purity had escaped from Heaven, the town - not THE Heaven. She was naive and didn't know about "our world" let alone the mafia world. I knew this girl was going to be awesome though. And yes indeed, she was. Killian likes to say he is evil... but dig deep and you'll find he isn't quite as horrible as he thinks he is. Bring together an angel and a demon and you get this amazing book. This is everything I have come to expect from Stella and more. I couldn't put it down and loved every twisted minute.
A complex story written by Stella Andrews, it turns out it started years before, Gabriela who supposedly went to source drugs and form a link for her current boss, she arrived in a white car with the man she was really representing, while there she saw A beautiful young girl just arriving back from school who she thought she could also make money on in the future and gave her a business card, she could later contact her with a promise of a job, unfortunately the meeting with the girls father didn’t go well for the man she had accompanied and wouldn’t trade or deal with them. A few years later the said innocent girl escaped her current life and tracked down Gabriela for a job, this is we’re it gets more complicated. I won’t give any other information or it will spoil the plot which lasts until the very end. A stand alone book, vengeance and consequences does go onto book 2 which I can’t wait to start.
Killian and Purity's story is so back and forth on their feelings for each other it kind of represents how mother nature is this year, of no knowing what she wants. Killian's emotions are like a rollercoaster and has such a history of deception, lies, and betrayals from acquaintances and family. Where Purity is innocent and only has dealt with being fed lies and mislead about life by her parents. In the end though Killian and Purity truly find what they need in each other. I was expecting a cliffhanger in all honesty but It was great seeing how the Dark Lords started and who truly runs it, but the enemies are looking to be interesting and intense as we move further into the series. Can't wait for A Shade of Evil to see the Vieri family continue their journey.

A great Mafia read with good storyline and interesting characters. Killian Vieri is set to take over as head of the family when his grandfather decides to retire there are those whom have set out to try and destroy them as head of the Dark Lords an organisation set up by the Vieri family but they as a family are strong and won't go down easily and are always one step ahead of those who choose to be disloyal. In the midst of these issues an angel appears in the form of Purity Sanders an innocent who has been bought up in a sheltered world but has run away looking for something more and snags the attention of Killian Vieri he intends to use her for his own reasons but she is so beautiful but strong love has its own way of sneaking up. Its a thoroughly enjoyable read.
This book is definitely a page turner. I was hooked from the very beginning. It's fast paced and everything flows together perfectly. Kill or Killian meets a woman named Purity.. She's from a town that is a cult but connected to Kills family. Anyway he's a bad boy for sure and Purity is a naive young woman who knows zero about the world. It's a story of a man that finds love even though it's not quite like a romance. Its very dark and has extremely hot and sizzling scenes. It's got intrigue but its not overwhelming. The ending is perfect and leads the reader to the next book. It's a connected series and reading in order will add to the experience. This family is definitely complex but not so evil I disliked them. If you're into dark mafia romance then you'll love this book ! I recommend it highly.
Killian=alpha hole extraordinaire, cold, unfeeling, dominant, cruel, rich, mafia. Purity=virgin, naive, beautiful, innocent, & pure. A chance meeting that turns into something more between the two of them leads to a marriage of convenience where he controls her to mold her into the perfect wife to add credibility to his legitimate and illegitimate businesses. Purity is going to learn she went from a small cult like town into an even worse fate because Killian is the devil. She's eager to learn since she's been sheltered her whole life but has many "lessons" that are hard learned. Decent writing and the characters have a lot of growth. Purity was a little too naive for me and Killian was just a dick most of the time but slowly started changing his ways. Good supporting cast of Saint (Killian's right hand man), Shade (Killian's brother), Serena (Killian's sister). I will probably read the next book in the series
If you are looking for fast paced action oriented thriller - this is not it. This is so much better. Moderately paced mafia story. Killian is the luckiest man on earth to have sought Purity the way he did. At first his intentions were not honorable, but as time passed he recognized something his Nonna told him was important in life. Purity was an innocent growing up in a cult the way she did. Little did she know the evil living in her small community. It was not until she ran away and met Killian that it was revealed. I really liked reading this book. It had me hooked right away and I could not put it down. A must read. I highly recommend it.
Reasons I enjoyed this book: Action-packed Page-turner Steamy Tragic Twisted Unpredictable Wonderful characters
This was an interesting read, the weird horrible cult background of the FMC & the Mafia lifestyle of the MMC worked out well together. I liked that they were in a way very similar & showed the aspects of where they could line up & be almost identical. It worked out well for the FMC. The characters were well developed & had a nice steady growth on both ends, the plot was nicely paced & I think it was wrapped up pretty well. There is still an underlying story that is set up to flow into the other books of the series but I like that the main one(the relationship of the MCs) was played out & wrapped up in a way that doesn't leave you wanting for anything & I'm sure even if there was we will see them in the next books still as background characters I think.
This is by no means a romance. This is a mafia style men having to be in control and the woman do exactly as they command. And lots of sex.
Purity has escaped her hometown and runs to woman she met years back that offered her a job and she runs into Killian. He runs his company and is second in command in the mafia. Killian has a dark side and no feelings he takes whatever he wants. But when he meets Purity everything changes. He has to have her even though he knows he will ruin her. But she's not going to do everything he says. Can they find a a balance between their two differences? Who will try to come in between them? Can they be honest about their true feelings? Can Killian work on becoming less evil?
This page-turner is the first book in what looks like a fantastic new series. I was pulled into this nail-biting, hard gritty and suspenseful story and found it hard to put my Kindle down until I'd finished it.
Killian and Purity are an unlikely couple, he's a devil whilst she's an innocent angel, what they do have in common is that neither believes they will ever find love. Little did they know! Their chemistry is palpable and hot and instead of him corrupting her she saves him. I loved the ending it was everything I wanted for them.
I'm looking forward to finding out more about Kilian’s brother Shade in the next installment of the Dark Lords series. T
