Mr. Randolph’s debut novel blew me out of the water. It takes hold from page one, and never let’s go. Filled with puzzles, mysteries, and a dynamic social aspect “Thane” will leave you entertained and your mind reeling.

Seven strangers wake up remembering nothing since they went to sleep the night before. Faced with tasks that challenge their mental and social skills, they must endure to live. Why are they here? Why are they made to complete these tasks? Slowly, the truth becomes revealed, and you will never see it coming.

It is one of the best thriller/science fiction novels I have read in years. I can not recommend this book enough.
Releasing Oct 10/23/23, be sure to check out Aaron Randolph’s phenomenal debut novel, Thane!

This is a book that I stayed up way past my bedtime reading several nights in a row because I just couldn’t put it down; I just HAD to know what was going to happen next. Fantastic twist at the end that I never saw coming too.

A great first book from Mr. Randolph! As I was diving deeper into the book, I began thirsting for the need to know what was going to happen. It was very hard to put this book down. I was determined to know why these seemingly random strangers were put together and why they were given off-the-wall challenges. If you love Science Fiction and Thrillers, this one is for you.

The idea was good, the execution was not. Also, the ending is just garbage.

This review is for the readers. Contains mild spoilers.

This was a first book of an author so I tried to be more gentle with my rating than I normally am. Honestly? I would give it two stars if I weren’t afraid I’d get a comment by a new author defending his book again. (It was not this author, of course)

The story started out just fine. I was pretty invested while the whole mystery was going on but as soon as the big reveal happened, it lost me completely. The first half of the book was quite good, even with the whole insta love parts of the story. I even understand why it was insta love-like. But when they arrived halfway and it just kept going and going, I got bored with it. The whole plot twist/ big surprise/etc. was only so that the author could kill certain people but also not have to kill them permanently. And not even in the good old Supernatural kind of way. It’s a lazy way to make sure you don’t have to be bold with your characters.
Also, do you guys know when romance authors put crazy amounts of pop culture knowledge in their books and it’s just so cringe sometimes when they overdo it? Some of the choices made were quite questionable for me here. Not even too much in quantity. Just generally for me. I’m trying really hard not to spoil things.
If you read this review to see if the book’s worth reading? I would say, it’s not. I read similar books that were well-written and more original. I mean, nothing’s really original anymore but still. But I will tell you one thing: if this author decides to write a book taking place in space with better characters, I will read it.

Aaron Randolph has come out of the gate a winner with his first novel.

Thane is a richly rewarding read. The basic premise of a group of strangers thrown together by unforeseen circumstances has been done before but this might be my favorite iteration. It's a mystery story for the most part but touches on different genres(sci-fi, thriller, romance) and themes(self-identity, how relationships are formed, the importance of communication) that come together in a beautiful narrative with good twists and turns. And it's all contained in a breezy 265 pages, just perfect for an afternoon or two of reading.

A first novel? Yes. But hopefully not the last we'll see from Aaron Randolph.

Aaron came out swinging with his first novel!

From page one, you are drawn into the mystery of the seven strangers. As you glide through each chapter, thanks to Aaron's quick but thorough narrative, the story tightens its grip, and doesn't let go. Carefully weaving a science fiction based story with romance and a mystery, and sprinkling some humor along the way, Aaron created a world for the reader to put themselves into, feeling the stakes at hand.

Looking forward to more from Aaron, hopefully from this universe!

Excellent twist of time tale! It was definitely a can't put down story.

Story development was top shelf, all the characters were very well fleshed out. It made an easy job of interest level in the tale. I am very impressed this is the authors first book. I am definitely keeping this writer on my list of favorites!

I just finished reading this first work from Mr. Randolph, and I loved it! It was a quick read - it got right into the story and action, and was written in a way that made you not want to put it down so you could find out what happened next!

I found myself trying to figure out the mystery along with the 7 characters, and was surprised at each turn. Sci-Fi is not a category I usually prefer - but the thrilling mystery certainly drew me in and didn't let go until the final chapters.

Looking forward to any and all future novels from this newly published author!
