He’s a lonely Dom with a wide variety of kinks. She wants to discover everything—until she meets a Blake.
Keria Blythewood loves to hate the shifter community. Not sure she fits in with the crowd at Club Fray, she seeks a Dom online. And when she meets him, he's all the right sort of wrong.
Acclaimed surgeon Damon Blake has more kinks than one person could ever need. Fray provides a tenuous neutral ground while he tests the pleasure of his new submissive. But when he has to tell her the one secret he’s withheld, he isn’t sure if she’ll accept him the way he is … or run screaming from the club’s front doors, leaving him exactly in the position he hates.

Kiera is a shifter. Her animal form? A civet cat. Her potential Dom, Damon? A Komodo dragon. She is his natural prey. Can she keep her civet hidden from him? Damon has a hidden Demon. How will Kiera handle the secret?
Ruin is a short, steamy read. This was my first dip into shifter romances and I really enjoyed it! This is BD$M heavy which I enjoyed immensely. The twist actually shocked me. I will definitely be continuing this series!
Thank you Raven Hush (Sofia Aves) for an ARC of this book! My review is mine and freely given!
*Arc review* I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

My first read from this author. I actually really enjoyed the story, and the spice was great. For such a short story, I thought it was executed well. I loved the twists! I haven't read a book in this type of genre, so it was a nice way to branch out. I was actually shocked how much I enjoyed it !
“What are you looking for that you haven’t told me yet?”
Let me start with a warning, do not, I repeat, do NOT read any reviews that discuss the plot to this book. To be honest, it’s probably best to avoid all reviews completely and just read the book first, so you for sure get to experience the entire story without any hints or spoilers. I got to read it this way and I’m so incredibly happy I did. What a ride!
Since I have to write a review of some kind, because I promised to when I signed up for the Arc copy, I will but it’s going to be vague and brief. The entire series is really cool it unique. The stories all center around a shifter bdsm Club in Melbourne, and there is a huge variety of different kinds of shifters. Some of them I even have had to look up. For example in this book Kiera is a civet cat. I had no clue except she’s a cat. Yea, well apparently a civet cat has very little in common with a typical house cat. I mean, who knew? It’s a lot of fun all these different shifters all mingling in the same club.
Kiera is a great female main character. She’s complex and occasionally unpredictable which I really liked. The male main character, Dr Blake is a Komodo dragon shifter. I mean how cool is that? In some ways he’s a typical Dom, hot, bossy, intelligent… You know the type. And did I mention he’s a Komodo dragon? Yea, I know I did. I just felt it was worth repeating.
Anyway our Komodo dragon neurosurgeon Dom is looking for a sub which is apparently not easy as he has a ton of different kinks and so far no sub has been satisfactory. Enter our civet cat girl Kiera. She’s not like all the other subs and we just know she’s going to be perfect. After the meet cute at the beginning the rest of the story focuses on relationship building. There isn’t any real outside plot or distractions. The book is really too short to include anything else but that’s ok. Sometimes I just want something shorter and more focused.
There is a lot of steam because, duh, it’s that kind of club, and it’s definitely open door. You can easily read it as a standalone because even though there are a couple of appearances by characters in other books, this story in very separate from the others. What really ties the books in the series together is the location, Club Fray. So feel free to read this even if you haven’t read any of the others. This book doesn’t even really have spoilers for the others either, which is kind of nice. And despite some of the reviews that say otherwise, it’s not a cliffhanger nor a HFN. I don’t know why anyone would think it does, either.
I will finish my review by saying in my opinion this is hands down the best book in the series so far. I say so far because I’m still hoping swan shifter James will get his own story! He’s so interesting. Not only is he a swan shifter he’s a switch! Doesn’t that just make you want to read his story, too? Please Raven, keep this series going. It’s so much fun I don’t want it to end.
Four and a half stars because it needs some serious editing but Evernight is unfortunately pretty bad about not doing a great job in that part with their books and also because we never actually got the answer to his question: what was she looking for that she was hiding? Hmmm… I’ve rounded up because it really is a unique and fantastic little story.
I extend my heartfelt thanks to the Books and Bitches ARC team and to the talented Raven Hush for granting me the privilege to explore the spicy pages of "Ruin." This tantalizing novella, published by Evernight Publishing on September 5, 2023, is a thrilling addition to the Club Fray series that will leave you craving more.
The story introduces us to Keria Blythewood, a woman who is both drawn to and repelled by the shifter community. Unsure if she fits in at Club Fray, she seeks a Dom online and stumbles upon Damon Blake, an acclaimed surgeon with a wide range of kinks. Damon and Keria's journey into the world of domination and submission is anything but ordinary.
"Ruin" is the fourth installment in the Club Fray series, and you've aptly described it as "quick and dirty." This standalone novella is a delightful palate cleanser, offering a sizzling and self-contained story that can be enjoyed without prior knowledge of the series.
Raven Hush's storytelling is a steamy concoction that delves into the world of BDSM, public exhibition, menage (MFM), and double fun. While the novella spans a mere 60 pages, it's a rollercoaster of passion, intensity, and electrifying chemistry.
The author's ability to create a captivating narrative within the confines of a shorter format is truly commendable. Despite its brevity, "Ruin" manages to deliver a satisfying and complete experience, leaving readers yearning for more.
In conclusion, "Ruin" is a quick and dirty delight for fans of Dom-Sub romance. Raven Hush's storytelling prowess shines as they take readers on a tantalizing journey into the world of Club Fray, and you've aptly described it as a "palate cleanser" that leaves a lasting impression. If you're in search of a steamy and engaging read that offers a delightful escape into the world of desire and passion, "Ruin" is a fantastic choice.
I don't want to spoil anything so this review will be vague at best. However, this is a quick read that you can smash out in very little time! Although it was quick, it was a fun passive read that helped overall in my book hangover from another series.
Please Note: I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Ruin had an interesting concept that revolved around a character who was learning to grow into herself and figure out what she wanted.
While the story was short and I desperately wanted more, I was intrigued by the overall characters.
The twist was definitely worth it and although I had a feeling to what the twist was, I was still happy with the way it was introduced.
I really had hoped the author who have delved more into the personalities of each character, specifically the "dominant" male described.
In the future I hope to read more regarding the interesting bartender as well (he was definitely someone of interest 😉.
Where I was interested and intrigued, I didn't feel strongly about anyone in the story as I felt there wasn't enough written for me to be captured into their life. It felt too short and I was definitely craving more by the time the book came to the end. I wish the scenes had been more descriptive overall, and hope to see this story fully realised in the future.
I appreciate being given the opportunity to read this and look forward to seeing more by this author.
Hear me out. He’s a neurosurgeon, ex-MMA fighter, and a Komodo dragon with a capital K for K!nKY. We start the book by witnessing Kiera go into an abandoned hospital to meet up with Damon for the first time. Super unsafe, btw. Listen, I completely understand Kiera’s fascination with Damon Blake. I would’ve gone in blind too.
But all is good as they dance around each other and learn to … please and satisfy each other, mostly in a fun club known as Club Fray. Kiera is our curvy, civet cat shifter FMC. I loved her personality, she’s clever and unpredictable. As much as this is a shifter romance, this book is primarily a BDSM book with all kinds of power play fun.
Both Damon and Kiera hold secrets from each other. There’s a twist here that I loved and surprised me. I really enjoyed the out-of-the-ordinary shifters that appear in the story. And they’re all k!nky AF. I love when a book has fun tropes done differently and Ruin certainly accomplishes that.
That being said, it is a short book with little to no backstory and plot or character development, which is totally fine if you know that ahead of time. It’s a great read, fun, quick, and really spicy.
Thank you to Book Sirens and Raven Hush for allowing me to enjoy this book for free in exchange for an honest review.
2023: I received an ARC copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving this review. To start, if BDSM is not your thing, then this book probably won't be either. I've never read anything in this category before so my review probably won't count a great deal re: the specifics. In saying that, I feel like the blurb over promised and the story did not deliver. I can appreciate a short 60pg story, however, the expectation needs to be kept in line with the length of what is being offered. I feel like the characters as described in the blurb did not match the characters delivered in the story - unsure if this was related to the BDSM principles that I don't fully understand or that the mark was just missed. If you're looking for a quick, spicy read without getting bogged down in character development or back story, it's an easy way to get a light look into something that may otherwise be out of your comfort zone.
This was a short albeit enjoyable read. This author is new to me and of course I have come into this series at book 4 or 5, not sure which. The title alludes to this being book 5 but the series shows 4 books in it. But that is fine. It does not take away from the enjoyment of the story.
Club Fray is a lifestyle club that is home to shifters - some I have never read about before. Keria, a civet cat begins an online relationship with Damon Blake, a Dom and komodo dragon. Soon they take their online relationship to an in-person trial at Club Fray. Time will tell if this relationship is meant to be. It is an enjoyable story with a very interesting twist I did not see coming. I will go back and read the other books in this series now.

‘Ruin’ by Raven Hush is book 5 in her Club Fray series. Kiera is a beautiful sub, obedient and needy, and deliciously responsive to her new Master. Damon has a closely held secret, is highly respected as a surgeon, and seeks a sub who is open, trusting, and trainable. Pain, pleasure, and secrets keep Kiera in a sexual frenzy while pleasing her Dom immensely. Raven’s story is short but filled with emotion and sexual energy that is doubly compelling. The BDSM aspects of this story are powerful: bondage, sensory overload, and highly addictive pain with pleasure. A mystery reveal that adds to the experience and heightens the connection for Kiera. So dang good!.

It’s kinky and if BDSM isn’t something you read this book isn’t for you I received a free copy of this book and I’m Voluntary leaving my honest review First of all the blurb was what drew me in and I do read the genre upon reading this short novella I just give it 3 stars , to me the blurb doesn’t really match the story line , yes it touches on thst she’s a shifter and the MC are shifters but between the DOM scenes there wasn’t great context I felt the story was repetitive, it does have potential I did like the fact of that the other played into the physiological twists they did to her but I was waiting on more context not just going back n forth to the club
If you don't like darkly disturbing BDSM, this will not be the book for you.
Keira and Damon's story has more kinks than you can shake a stick at and will have you hot under the collar.
As Keira explores her submissive nature, under the tutelage of a Dom who seems to blow hot and cold in equal parts, the dynamic develops. But Keira is in for a revelation that will rock her world.
A short punchy erotic introduction to the world of Club Fray, will definitely have me reaching for another book by the author when I crave shapeshifter erotica.

Kinky little story! Ruin is a short shifter story full of over-the-top kink. Kiera wants a BDSM pleasure and pain adventure while Dominate, Neurosurgeon Doctor Damon Blake is looking for a sub who can handle all his kinks and super sexy secrets. When Kiera and Damon meet there is a sizzling attraction. Damon is going to enjoy every minute of training his new little sub. Kiera has found what she craves and is in this relationship for the long run. I enjoyed this naughty little story. I received a free advanced copy from Booksprout and this is my opinion. Linda
Shifter BDSM. Submissive/Dominate. Secret. Novella Keria Blythewood is an outcast when it comes to the shifter community. Despite knowing all the safety precautions associated with meeting someone from the BDSM community, she does it all wrong. Yet when she meets surgeon Damon Blake, she is drawn to his kind of wrong. There is only one thing, he has kept one secret from her. Can Keria handle Damon’s secret? This is a hot and steamy novella. It is a quick read but the character development is pretty well done. I really enjoyed the story and plan to read the rest of the series.
Dr Damon Black, Komodo Dragon shifter and Dom, has very specific requirements for his submissive. Following online conversations, he interviews Keira Blythewood, a civet cat shifter, at his hospital, and then invites her to Club Fray. She meets his needs, but does she know what she is getting herself into? This quick and hot read has a happily ever after. Deliciously on the darker side, Raven Hush has penned an erotic fantasy that dazzles.

A fetish club fully equiped to cater for their sessions …
And a twist I didn’t see coming, but dear heavens this had me gasp and clutch my pearls 🥵
It’s short, it’s spicy, it’a not suitable for work or narration when the kiddies are around, because you don’t want to explain what that lizards tail was doing …
Another wonderful story from the Club Fray series we follow Dr Damon Black and Keira. They meet when they are in the hospital to be interviewed by him. He thinks she would be a good sub for him and that he can teach her the tricks to make her a good one. She doesn't know he is a Komodo Dragon Shifter their story contains occasional tension and many steamy and hot moments between them. I definitely recommend this book because it is a joy to read and you won't be able to put it down.

ARC for an honest review Do you like dominant male docs, curvy fmc, bdsm and shifters that has a twist you didn't see coming? Then give this book a go. It's a short steamy shifter read. It honestly gave me the first couple of chapters to get into it. But I gave it a chance, and when I did, I liked the characters and the storyline for a short story. It's my first book by this author, and I think Raven did wonderfully! I will definitely be checking out your other books! Thank you for being a writer and giving us these books to read.
Kiera has been chatting with a Dom online for a while now, but when she meets Damon for the first time, she feels like they don’t jive. At their second meeting at Fray, their scene is explosive, and Kiera keeps coming back for more. They’re both keeping secrets - how will they respond when those secrets are revealed? This story kept me engaged and guessing, plus the pleasure/pain scenes were as enjoyable as they were challenging. I loved the twist ending and the happily ever after was delightful.
I usually have to look up a pet of a main character not the main character themselves. BSDM club takes it to another level with this one. It was intense and you might have to put the book down to take a breather. This is definitely "I like you the way you are." story. Past the "normal kink" and into a new world of Dom and sub. You're gonna need something stronger than soda or coffee for this read.
I received a free copy of this book via Sofia's Cowboy Romance Lovers and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Damon is looking for the perfect submissive but also is hiding a secret that could make her run once found out. Kiera both loves and hates the hot and cold treatment she receives from her Dom as her BDSM limits get tested each week. The paranormal aspect is quite subtle overall. I liked the twist when the secret was revealed. For those who might have issues with it, just know that there are no monogamous intentions for their relationship.

First read from this series or author, and I absolutely need more.
Keira is an outcast with the Shifters, Though knowing all the precautions when meeting someone from the BDSM community, she does it all wrong. Though When she meets Neurosurgeon Damon Blake, she is drawn to his kind of wrong. Damon hides a secret that could make or break her. Can She handle his secret or will it destroy her?
This short Novella has the perfect amount of Spice and I definitely need to read more. I could not put it down!
Ruin is a steamy, emotionally charged erotica paranormal novella with BDSM themes. It is book 5 in the Club Fray series. installment in Raven Hush’s Club
This a Dom and Sub story that shows Damon Blake's kinks and internal struggles. And Keria Blythewood who needs to show she can be a sub but struggles sometimes and can be bratty.
The dynamic between the two however, is perfect and they are what each other needs. The chemistry between Keria and Damon is electric from the start.
Mortal enemies to devoted lovers - A komodo dragon and a civet cat aren't supposed to mesh so well, but Dr. Blake and Kiera can barely keep their hands off each other. As they indulge in the joys of physical desire, his mercurial nature will be uncovered, the reason a delightful shock to her senses. Decisions, decisions. A steamy shorty where the characters experience the blissful outlets of pure pleasure and pain.

This is one hot, steamy erotic read, sure to please any reader who likes their reading hot enough to set their imagination on fire with an unexpected twist.
Damon isn’t all what he seems, he’s a Dom who knows what he wants in a Submissive and he won’t accept anything less plus he just loves to play games.
Enjoy this hot read!.

I have never read a little book like this. It was definitely interesting. And it’s a nice little erotic read with a small plot. Taking into consideration that this is a 60 page book the character development and work building were pretty decent. This book had my jaw dropping slightly at the plot twist.
Character development ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Plot ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Entertaining ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Writing style ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ World building ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Darkness 💀 Spice 🥵🥵🥵🥵😡🌶🌶🌶
Pleasantly surprised of the story of damaged men and women looking for something. The author brought in other shifters other than the usual wolf, bear, dragon, or cat. The story took a bit of a left turn in a good way. While this is part of a series, it was still a standalone. The reader could easily understand and get lost in the story. The story flows quickly and it's easy to follow.

This is Book 5 of Club Fray And it is a quick little spicy novella about Kiera a submissive who was "interviewing" and training to be a submissive for Damon a shifter and a neurosurgeon. This book will definitely get the blood pumping and squirming in your seat. I loved it and all the little surprises the book had to offer! Great addition to this series!!.
I received a free copy of this book via Evernight and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book was short sweet and downright dirt!! I loved it so much!! I really wish it was longer because I just needed more! But that being said it was perfect! I really like that the FMC was looking for something/someone who could meet her needs! I love the dynamic between the leads. The spicy spice was really well written! If you want to read about an FMC that takes what she needs and enjoys herself while doing it then this book is for you!! 🖤Sub/Dom 🖤🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🔥🔥 🖤 Shifters
Love this series. A little bit of monster, a little BDSM and a whorl lot of steam. Kiera is heading for an interview to match with her perfect Dom, Dr. Damon Blake. Damon guides Kiera through a series of test to see if they are compatible. Dr. Blake already knows that Kiera is the perfect fit. Great read.
