Amelia Wilson has delivered another fabulous book in her Alpha's Shifter Growling Desires Series. I loved this book as much as I loved the first one. Both Duncan and Elle are wonderful characters who I adored and quickly felt a connection with. The plot for Wolf's Howl of Lust was original and entertaining. Amelia had my attention from the very beginning and I found myself reading this book in one sitting. I was excited to see her change things up a bit with this story in a way I didn't see coming. What I love about this author is the fact that I never feel like I am reading anything repetitive or like the current story is a copycat of any of her previous books. Amelia is my most favorite author when it comes to the paranormal romance genre and with each book I am reminded of this fact. I am so excited for the next book in this series. If you are a huge fan of Amelia's or you are now just discovering this author Wolf's Howl of Lust is definitely a book that will not disappoint.

A scientist whose primary focus is wolves is trying to figure out why the wolf population has been declining in her area. Mandy has gone missing and her father has hired Elle to investigate her disappearance. Quickly after arriving to the location of Mandy's campsite Elle is faced with violent poachers. It is her lucky day that Duncan who happens to be wolf shifter is there to rescues her. He takes Elle to his home deep in the woods. The chemistry between them is explosive and it doesn't take Elle long to show her appreciation. There is something more than just mere attraction going on. Could they be each others soulmate...the one who was meant for them and them alone? Will Elle find Mandy or is it too late?

I liked the story 'Wolf's Howl of Lust' by Amelia Wilson. It was told by having a woman detective going into dense woods to search for a missing woman scientist who had gone into there to study the wolves that inhabit those protected woods. Unfortunately, the detective encounters dangerous poachers who are trying to kill off the protected wolves in order to acquire the land for development. They don't want witnesses and are about to attack the woman named Elle when a huge handsome man appears and protects her by fighting off the men and then picking Elle up and fleeing with her through the forest. The man, whose name is Duncan, takes her to his cabin and once inside she gives him a big kiss to show her gratitude, but both are affected by it and move into a passionate relationship. The next morning, she is amazed to see him transform into a wolf and he sits her down and explains about shifters and the way they live hidden from the human population for safety's sake. She is hopelessly devoted to Duncan by then and agrees to do whatever she can to rid the forest of poachers. First, they must find the missing scientist and then both women have to go to the authorities and explain about the poachers killing the wolves without mentioning anything about shifters. They have to get the authorities to come and apprehend the poachers and stop their evil plan. And all the while, Elle is worried about the safety of Duncan back in the woods. It is a very interesting story.

Someone wants the wolves dead!
Elle is a private investigator on a mission to find Mandy Jorgenson, who’s missing in the woods while studying the local endangered grey wolf. Ella figures she’s been eaten by a bear but the pay is good and she needs proof one way or the other of what happened. Hearing gunfire Ella runs into the mix of four big gun-toting poachers and she’s in big trouble. Until…a huge hunk of gorgeous guy intervenes, saves her, and takes her to his cabin. Grateful Ella drops to her knees… These two fall in lust right away.
Duncan is the alpha of this community of wolf shifters. He knows big trouble is on the way but he can’t resist Elle. Together they work to find the missing scientist and uncover the reason the natural grey wolves as well as a few wolf shifters are dead.
This is a short story starting a new series. It reads a little like a text book but that’s probably because the info is for background and issues to start the series. Elle and Duncan have a sweet happy ending. I received a free advanced copy of this story from Booksprout and these are my thoughts. Linda

This was a fun and thrilling book to read. Amelia Wilson is one of my all time favorite authors, abd she did not disappoint with this latest release. The characters, all of them but especially the two mains (Duncan & Elle), were absolute perfection. As readers we get to know a little bit of their background, which aides in understanding their thinking and priorities. I got such a clear visual of each of them, it was as if a video production was running in my head while reading. And it wasn't just the character descriptions either. Action sequences, scenic settings, everything was in picturesque detail.

The plot was creative and moved rapidly. No dull or dry spells to let my attention waffle or become bored. The pacing was simply suburb. While the story of Duncan and Elle was contained nicely, there are definately opportunities with some of the other characters for subsequent books in this series. I did not read the first book, and plan to rectify that immediately! Grab your copy and emmerse yourself in Wilson's world too. An ARC of this book was provided and I voluntarily reviewed. Mandy Jorgenson, a leading researcher on wolves, disappeared in the woods without a trace. Her father hired our MFC, Elle, a private investigator to find her. Elle had a vast knowledge on the Myth Of Alpha Wolves. She plans on using that to find Mandy. One night she’s in the woods almost to the place where Mandy’s vase camp was. There were drunk hunters with guns there. With wolf hides hanging in the trees. . (More than that😉..later) it appears to her their poachers.
Duncan is our MMC. He’s a large alpha of his wolf pack. And wow does he make an appearance. Running out of the woods attacking the poachers, saving Elle. More comes and he picks her up running through the woods in human form. He gets farther and farther away and finally looses them.
He could have shifted to his wolf but he didn’t want the men or Elle to know there were werewolves in those wolves.
From there on there’s non stop intrigue, sabotage, secrets and much more. The intimacy is on the very high scale and neither characters are virginal. If that’s your thing, then this is your book.👍🏻

Elle and Duncan's Story . . .

When zoologist Mandy Jorgenson disappears from her camp in a protected forest, her dad hires private investigator Elle to investigate and find what happened to her. Elle is thinking an animal could have attacked and killed the zoologist. Instead it looks like poachers are responsible for the attack, as they have surrounded her with weapons pointed in her direction. She notices animal hides strung up in the trees. But before the poachers can harm her, Duncan, the Alpha wolf of his pack, rescues her in his human form. He doesn’t kill the 3 men but scares them away despite the fact they were trying to shoot him and the woman. When reinforcements arrive, shooting at Duncan and the woman, he picks her up and runs. He could have defeated the reinforcements, but he would need to shift and he didn’t want to do that. He takes her to his cabin. Will he help Elle look for Mandy? Is she ready to ask him to allow her to stay with him? (There is much more going on, but I don’t want to spoil it for you. Grab your copy and enjoy!)

Elle is a private investigator hired to find Mandy who was studying wolves by her father who hadn’t heard from her in awhile. Elle stumbled into her campsite when she went to see what the shooting was about but the 3 poachers started after her, Duncan who had been following them saved her from getaway shot. Duncan took her to her cabin where she kisses him and end in bed his wolf knows that she is someone special. Went looking for Mandy together but he turns into a wolf when he sees his second in command was killed but didn’t phase her. Found Mandy in a small cave in bad shape got her fixed up and called her father told him and the governor what was happening to the wolves that got taken care of but Duncan and his pack took care of the leader who was one of theirs. Elle moved to the pack after taking care of things at her home. Good book!.

Received ARC for review; this book left me at times annoy with beginning, I read this book within an hour & spent rest of day trying to figure out how to leave a review that would encourage author to have the dialogue with the characters in this book to speak about the journey & their observations as themselves, instead I felt that the beginning of this book spoke of the main female character as if she was a 3rd person. At times when she did use her mind she was all over the place. Then upon meeting the male lead character & being saved by him, bought back to his cabin, she drops to her knees to give him pleasure.Their is no romance or lead up to it. I gave it 3-stars bc the female scientist character was funny, the ending was so so. But overview I rather read something that gets my mine & blood pumping. Good luck with your book many blessings.

This is the 2nd book in the Alpha’s Shifter Growling Desires series by Amelia Wilson and this is Elle (private investigator) and Duncan (Alpha Wolf Shifter) story. She has been hired to find Mandy, a scientist zoologist studying wolves, who has gone missing. While searching the forest she falls victim to poachers who are about to shoot her when she is rescued by Duncan (in human form) who in turn takes her back to his cabin. Their attraction knows no bounds and in the morning Elle is greeted by Duncan in wolf form. These two form a bond to discover (a) if Mandy is dead or alive (b) why the poachers are so determined to exterminate the wolf population! Will they achieve both these goals? Will there be a HEA?.

This story provides a lot of historical and research information about wolf shifters, from the eye of the author. Some information is not the same as in other wolf shifter books. Unfortunately, the story gives so much, so frequently that it feels like the reader is in a lecture hall.
Many times the MCs are so in their head, it is like reading their personal journals. The romance was unrealistic for the timeframe that events occur. There are a lot of OD scenes, but that does not save the story.
This could have been a better story if it was longer and had more "meat on the bones". There was no depth to the characters nor the plot.
If you like shifters you may like this book.

Wolf’s Howl of Lust is book two in the series Alpha’s Shifter Growling Desires by author Amelia Wilson. An interesting look into the world of shifters - this outlook is intriguing.
Ok so before I go all crazy into the aspects of the shifter world - lol (like I’m an expert smh), let talk about the book. It’s spicy as all hell - there’s a mystery- bad guys and of course the good guys. Also a bit of a cliffhanger if you think about it. The last conversation between the to enemy wolves there’s a hint of something bigger- no maybe I’m just playing devils advocate but that could be a new avenue. Anywho, nice read - fast paced - like I said earlier lots of juicy parts.

Secrets Sometimes Have To Be Revealed!

Elle had been tasked to find a missing Zoologist but things took a turn for the worst when she came across poachers.

Being saved by Duncan had a passionate effect on her and she couldn’t keep her hands off him but things are not always what they seem and soon she learns his secret and together with the pack, they try to find and rescue the missing person all the while trying to put an end to an uprising that should never have started.

A fast paced, enjoyable read with a great HEA!.

Elle is a private investigator and has been hired to find Mandy, a scientist studying wolves, who has gone missing while out in the forest. While looking for her Elle comes across poachers who are about to shoot her when she is rescued by Duncan. Their attraction is electric and intense but they still have to find out if Mandy is dead or alive and find out why the poachers are so determined to wipe out the wolf population. A very hot and steamy read that is a great addition to this series. Full of drama and action,you will be hooked from the start.

This is the second engaging book in this series that was enjoyable to read. Elle a private investigator is hired to find Mandy Jorgenson a wolf biologist who disappeared. Arriving at Mandy's campsite she meets three drunk armed poachers. Elle asks "What have they had done to Mandy? when mayhem occurs. Duncan an alpha wolf shifter has been following the poachers attacks the poachers and saved Elle running away into the woods. What occurs afterward was an engaging romantic shifter story with highly likable characters that I enjoyed reading about in this copy I received and volunteer to review. So far, I've been enjoying reading this new series by Amelia Wilson.

This is a quick fast paced read that I thoroughly enjoyed. My first time reading this author, certainly not my last. Ellie is a P.I. hired to look for a noted scientist, when she has to be rescued by Duncan. Things get really interesting from there as they explore their attraction and also a raging conspiracy that is going on around them and the danger to Duncan's pack. Awesome characters and world building as well as lots of action and adventure made for an entertaining read!.

It took a while to get into this book as there was a lot about where shifters may or may not have originated from and I did get a bit bored by this and even skimmed through some of it. There are a lot of hot sex scenes but the part of this book I most enjoyed was the story line between Elle and Duncan, I especially enjoyed the twist at the end.

Elle and Duncan’s story has them meeting while she was in the forest but poachers find her and are going to kill her till Duncan shows up to help her. He is an alpha wolf shifter and she is a human looking for a missing zoologist but with the chemistry between these two it just might be life changing for them both.

We follow the story of Duncan and Elle, their story starts quickly from the beginning and you are glued to their story. The author has given us a nice storyline with pleasant characters. If you like shifter stories and very hot shifter sex that will make you feel very hot then this is one you should read.

Hmmm I am a little disappointed about the ending. But there is a lot of steam and action packed scenes in the woods. There is a conflict about the woods that is a very storyline. I am surprised about the twist and turns to the ending. No cliff.

I felt like I was sitting in a classroom getting facts about wolves and wolf shifters. Yes, there was a romance and yes there were steamy scenes, but it just felt second to all the overload of facts. Elle is a PI hired to track down a missing scientist who is studying wolf packs. Duncan is the alpha and comes to Elle’s rescue when she is surrounded by poachers. Then bam she is giving him pleasure just for rescuing her. No lead up or anything. The overall book was OK.
