Wow, just so glad to get another "Caverns and Creatures" book, even if it is only a novelette. Robert Bevan must be one of the funniest writers in this genre - and probably many others too. This book takes us right back into the redneck action with Cooper, Dave, Tim and Julian and it's like meeting old friends at the county fair. Please Robert keep writing these - we love them. Highly recommended of course
In the usual tone for Caverns & Creatures, this short story tells us to be careful where you go. This time they run into a sentient “tree” who doesn’t appreciate their antics. The C&C gang manage to finagle a way out of the situation, after meeting Woodrow, the real source of the trouble.
