Callie has an interview with a man she ghosted, he’s a CPA and needs an assistant. They go out and talk things through and she gets the job. A client of his, who is know for assaulting women, happens to see Callie and he becomes obsessed. He begins to stalk her, and tries to rape her when he catches her alone. Turns out her boss had a stalker too and now she’s after both of them.
This book had some twists and one turn you will never see coming. Callie has a lot of trauma, some she has blocked for years, but she has a great support system. With this book Emily shows what a good support system can look like and you also see Callie struggling with different issues.

I don’t know how Emily comes up with these storylines but man, here is another book that gutted me yet filled me with hope. Such a good read!
