Every time I read about Investor A I can't help but think of Pretty Little Liars haha sue me, plus with the FL being named Aria my mind goes right to that.



Also that season ending? What? I don't know if I want to read about Isis getting a second chance with her possible royal power... but then again Aria was considered a villainess too, and that ending made me think she might have been pushed into wanting so much power-so maybe she will have a nice redemption arc with the Kroa (sp?) King?

But I feel like she can change her thirst for power, however the only reason I feel like she won't hate on Aria being 'a child of a prostitute and thus not worthy' if she comes back is bc she now knows Aria has royal blood. Which is kinda crappy.

Might read on when season 3 is totally completed

okay listen. while raeliana and noah are ABSOLUTELY ICONIC, aria and asher are just BEYOOOND ICONIC. they have fucking ascended they are just so good together? the added element of aria like literally being an actual villainess throughout the entire series is just what makes them so amazing and i cannot stop thinking about them. and the way asher just 182% supports her and literally IN NOVEL SAYS HE WOULD LOVE IF SHE STOPPED PRETENDING TO BE NICE AND ACTUALLY SHOWED MORE OF HER ”TRUE SELF” WHEN SHE ASKS. like i literally love them. One of the best Isekai romance manwhas out there. However, I will stop reading.

I started the third season and realized I do not care at all about the new dilema.

Now that the main problem was solved, this manwha was best finished with this second season. Now with the new plot I just feel like it's being dragged.

A really fun journey with this story, I'm probably even going to re read at some point.

This was such a wild ride!

Both Asher and Aria are wickedly meant for each other and I have enjoyed watching them crush their enemies in such an excrutiating yet very much entertaining way. Also, the way Asher is so very in love with Aria... He would literally burn the world for her if she only but asked 👌💕
Oh and Lohan is absolutely stunning in his low key wickidness... My bes boi 💖


side note: am i the only one who thinks lohan and isis would've been creme de la creme of enemies with benefits in an arranged marriage trope? bc they would. i mean... the tension they have is 🔥

- Avis sur les tomes 1 et 2 -

Les webtoons aiment décidément bien les histoires de vilaines, de vengeance et de retour en arrière dans le temps. Nouvel opus du genre, cette saga où l'héroïne utilise un sablier comme Hermione son retourneur de temps.

Tout commence avec Aria qui est déterminée à se venger de sa demi-soeur et ceux qui l'ont aidée à l'éliminer autrefois. Elle revient ainsi un peu avant sa mort dans sa vie d'avant, celle avant qu'elle réalise les traitrises qui l'entouraient et qui ont conduit à sa mort, avec un objectif : tout révéler et se venger. Sauf que ce n'est pas si simple...

Sur le papier, le titre a tout pour plaire. Quand on aime les histoires de famille, les complots, les personnages gris, les vengeances, on a vraiment ici un mélange détonnant. Mais quand on se penche sur le scénario imaginé par les auteurs et surtout leur mise en oeuvre, on déchante un peu.

Si on est un lecture qui a envie de poser son cerveau le temps d'un divertissement, peut-être qu'on pourra passer outre ces personnages tellement caricaturaux qu'ils en sont insipides pour moi , peut-être qu'on pourra ne pas voir les énormes ficelles du scénario, les décisions bien trop faciles et évidentes, les dialogues écrits sans inspirations... Ce ne fut pas mon cas.

Certes cela se laisse lire. Les dessins sont dans la norme des webtoons ayant ce décor noble. On a des personnages facilement identifiables. On suit une anti-héroïne, ce qui a toujours son charme. L'histoire avance aussi d'un bon train à chaque fois, elle se complexifie même entre les tomes, ajoutant des relations inattendues. Et la vengeance de l'héroïne n'a rien de simple contrairement à d'autres titres où tout se passe tellement facilement. Ici, on sent bien que ça coince, qu'elle reste le vilain petit canard et sa soeur continue de bien cacher son jeu. Donc, je pense que des lecteurs se laisseront facilement prendre au jeu, car on a envie de la voir détailler son plan et faire chuter ses rivaux, même s'ils ne sont pas bien méchants pour le moment, et que c'est plus elle, qui est la vraie vilaine de l'histoire.

Je n'ai pas accroché. J'ai trouvé l'ensemble trop facile, prévisible, caricatural et ça a donné une lecture insipide pour moi. Mais je pense qu'elle peut plaire aux lecteurs de webtoons amateurs de vengeances car suivre une anti-héroïne qui reste vraiment la méchante de l'histoire et qui galère dans son plan, a ses charmes. A voir selon vos goûts en la matière d'où ma note entre deux (Flop pour moi mais peut-être divertissement pour d'autres) ^^!

Планът на Ария е вече в ход. Успяла е да овладее новите си способности и да привлече на своя страна личности, които знае, че в бъдеще ще изиграят важна роля в развръзката на историята ѝ. Да, чувството, което изпитва, когато вижда Миел да губи малко по малко авторитета си във висшето общество е малка победа всеки път, но не е достатъчно. На хоризонта изплуват още много непредвидени препятствия, породени от изборите на лейди Ария. Това естествено води до въпроса дали промените в събитията в настоящето вече не са обърнали хода на историята в абсолютно друга посока?

В допълнение към това мистерията около самоличността на Ашър бавно започва да се разплита. След дълго чакане, увъртане и недоразумения, най-накрая получаваме така чакания АХА! - момент. Стават ясни и намеренията му към лейди Розент (този път правилната). ;)

Ако трябва да опиша атмосферата във втори том на “Злодеят връща назад пясъчния часовник” (악녀는 모래시계를 되돌린다) с една дума, то тя би била „триумф“. Историята започва да набира скорост. Има клюки, скандали, опити за убийство (да, множествено число), отрова, интриги, красиви принцове, предателства и много удовлетворяващи моменти. Заслужава си да се прочете.

Aria sometimes seems a little unstable in her quest here, though there are moments where it seems like she may be near realizing there could be a better way to live her life that isn't focused solely on those around her. She is also close to realizing who the prince is, while still somehow managing to completely miss the mark and continue to let her guard down around him in her desperation to avoid him when he could be her strongest ally of all. It will be interesting to see how things may change given Oscar seems resigned to follow his sister's will and the prince is now cluing into things as well. Even Cain doesn't seem as cold or disinterested in Aria at this point, though he also isn't taking an active role in any of their interactions either.

I liked this volume a little bit more than the first volume but unfortunately it had a lot of the same pacing issues as the first. So much filer and unnecessary scenes and dialogue. This volume made me sympathize a lot with Oscar. He is being controlled and manipulated by everyone and seems like just a nice guy. I was glad to also see the count giving Mielle credit for Arias ideas. Just because Aria was able to go back to the past doesn’t mean that people at their core change who they are. I also liked seeing her showing weakness at the end and not wanting to die, since that’s what this story is really all about.

Mixed feelings

The story is interesting but there's definitely a case of the main character not being quite likeable. She also seems to be getting tangled up in her own scheming. And then there's the outside influences going on that seem to complicate things. With everything going on, I'm not sure how I feel about the series as a whole. Think it might be worth giving it one more volume of a shot, but if the next volume doesn't make the main character more likable... I think I'll be done at that point.

Currently reading sampai chapter 66. Aria sudah official menjalin hubungan dengan Putra Mahkota Asher dan nongol si Lohan (yes, that white haired guy on the poster).

Mielle sudah terpojok. Emma sudah menerima balas dendam sedangkan Berry juga sudah berpulang ke pangkuan yang Maha Kuasa. Sudah separuh perjalanan terlampaui.

Lady Isis dan Mielle punya rencana. Licik sekali. Asli. Count Roscente kritis demi rencana licik sang putri. Masih menunggu-nunggu bagaimana kiranya ending Cain dan Mielle.

It’s like she both learned and didn’t learn from her previous life, granted it was quite shit, but it’s like she has no actual kindness for anyone. Aria is such a bad bitch and Arsher is such a supportive lover. I love how their relationship developed and how aria learn how to love and trust at least someone😌
