This volume covers chapters 101-120, but I read up to chapter 124 (the season three finale) and wowww that was good. I'm eagerly awaiting season four!

AND THE EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTER IT TOOK ME ON!!!! AHHHHHH!!!
Definitely another epic volume and I am crying that there is readily no volume seven available because WHAT WAS THAT PREVIEW!!! SQUEALS!!

Moving on though, WOW!
I am very glad I got on the Callisto hype train and am firmly seated on it because I was very much Team Eckles when this series started, but I am terrified of that man now! Callisto may be unhinged, but Eckles even more so IMO! The intensity he shows in this volume is a lot and I don't think Penelope needs to be putting all her bets on him. I definitely think he has overwhelming jealousy, but I think there is hatred (or something along those lines) he has towards Penelope. As she pointed out, he has never made "demands," but why is it that he is the one who seems to be almost controlling her now? Even if briefly? I never thought I would EVER side with Derrick, but I agree with him that after seeing Eckles's behavior in this volume, he should not get a teacher and become her guard. I feel that if Eckles has the chance he WILL turn on her in a fit of blind rage or jealousy.
Speaking of Derrick, I WAS NOT PREPARED FOR THIS VOLUME TO TRY AND CONVINCE ME TO LIKE HIM!!! What in the world?! Granted, he is NOT my favorite nor will he ever be. I don't think Penelope needs to let go of what he said to her in the past, but he really showed up in this one. I still have no idea what he thinks either but at least he actually defended Penelope and made it known he IS trying to protect her. I just hate how he keeps trying to go about it. Please work on that Derrick if you truly want to be forgiven and become a "good guy" again.
The character that earned my wrath in this volume was surprisingly Winter. I AM SO ANGRY AT HIM!! Even with how things unfolded at the end, I'm still like HOW DARE YOU!!!! The quote on the back of the book makes sense after reading parts with him and should have seen the "red flag" when he was SO adamant about trust, but never even gave an OUNCE to Penelope. I would dare say for the things he put Penelope through in this volume ON PURPOSE, he is now my least-liked character. Derrick may be a jerk, but he is a confronting jerk to Penelope's face. Winter is a two-time lying man who will pretend to get "cozy" with her because of curiosity, but all along is just testing her and has no trust in her. My entire view completely changed about him in this volume.
Thankfully my view of Callisto did NOT change! At least not in a bad way because THERE WERE SO MANY GREAT MOMENTS HERE!! EEEEEPPPPP!! He's the only one I can't talk about because all of his scenes are MAJOR spoilers, but I will say that I just need these two to become an official couple! That one scene near the end where Penelope says something about how his words impacted her is going to live rent-free in my head for a longgggg time!
Overall, definitely an incredible volume that had me once again holding my breath at events taking place, seeing red when certain characters did things to Penelope, and just a deep longing for Penelope to find happiness in a life that is so chaotic and dangerous. HIGHLY recommend!

Ok, there are soooo many things to address here!!! First..HOLY CLIFFHANGER!! Like I did not expect that at the end...Second, I love this series as I've said before, and this book was no exception, but why was most of it with Vinter?? Like, forgive me for saying this...He is a waste of writing. Like what is there to like about this man (Especially considering that Callisto exists? Just saying.)!? I know that we've had at least one book with a special part involving each guy so far, maybe not Eckles, and Vinter before now, But why? Anyways, I really dislike him....I mean, HE LITERALLY FINDS YVONNE. Penelope says it in, like, the first book! Why would she trust him?
Next, I'm giving it 4 stars. This is mostly because of my hatred of Vinter, to be honest, him and his weird magic kids. And no, I'm not sorry for them, even now knowing what happens to them. Anyways, I liked this addition to the series A LOT, even though it was mostly Vinter. Great Book!
Also, side note, I thought there were only 8...But I was recently pleasantly surprised by the sight of book 9!! Yay, I'm really excited to see where it will go from here!! I haven't read all of the existing books because on my first read there were only 6. So past this, I'll be surprised lol!
Next, I'm giving it 4 stars. This is mostly because of my hatred of Vinter, to be honest, him and his weird magic kids. And no, I'm not sorry for them, even now knowing what happens to them. Anyways, I liked this addition to the series A LOT, even though it was mostly Vinter. Great Book!

I like it when the brothers are absent. This one focused on three of the love interests, and I was so happy when Callisto showed up out of nowhere. But, really, was he following Penelope? The whole interaction between the three of them (P, C & Winter) was so funny to me. The reveal at the end with Ivonne as the big villain, though! Didn't see it coming.

It's so good! I feel so sorry for Penelope, dragged into all this without really wanting to. Really not sure what to make of the twist at the end, and it looks like it will be a dramatic next volume! I also can't really believe I'm shipping Penelope with Callisto, but there we go. Can't wait for the next volume, as always, art amazing and the story just keeps twisting.

Love being back following Penelope and her random antics. This volume has the best cliffhanger out of them all, and I need more Callisto in the next volume. My only complaint is Winter is lame.

4.7/5 stars. Eckles scares me. I think Winter is hiding something. And Callisto is still the one I place my vote on.

Normally, 4.5 is a 5 star, but my reluctance to place this in the 5 star category stands to be the fact that there is an incest undertone in this series with the Eckart brothers being love interests. Like although Penelope isn’t their biological sister, it’s kinda cutting it close. Not to mention in Ivonne’s route, they are still love interests for the female lead which is CRAZY because they are biologically related.
Anyways—> Letting it go and reading because the sibling characters are not pursuing each other romantically and I hope it stays that way. I do wish for their relationships to progress well though because I want happy ending :)
