Love this series. I love Violet, Doc, Addy and Layne to mention just a few with a special shout out for Aunt Zoe, Reid, Natalie, Harvey Cooper and.Cornelius. Violet is a single mum of twins who just wants to give her children a secure and happy childhood hence her relocating back to Deadwood. You see although Violet is this deadly hereditary monster killer, as the.saying goes it takes a village and without the.support of.her.friends and.family she would not be.able.to.cope. Holding down a demanding full time.job, rearing twins and.ridding the world of.supernatural threats is demanding and impossible alone. Her friends and family are as involved in the supernatural goings on in Deadwood as Violet, (in Cornelius case probably more so). Violet to my mind is a regular person she's a where's the nearest exit girl whenever there is trouble but.........when it counts she puts on her big girl panties and gets the job done, in her own inimitable way. Doc is the perfect partner for her, Natalie her best friend since childhood a constant source of strength as is Aunt Zoe, Harvey is always ready with some outrageous remark to lighten the mood while Cooper has the hardest job of all .....keeping Violet out of jail. Deadwood has many monsters along with mysterious and deadly individuals who seem to be on the side of evil. Violet has to navigate a world.she knows.very little about in which the wrong decision may mean the death of everyone she holds dear..........but if it comes to that you will know it is because Violet herself is already dead herself.

What can I say? You all know I love this series, I love this author, and I love these characters. Ann’s style of writing, her humor, and her way with words make these books so much fun to read. With each new book, this story, grows and so do the characters. Time reaping in deadwood, book 13, is a true book of growth for Violet’s character and her relationship with the others in her world. I really could not put it down. You really need to grab this book, but just know it will keep you up all night flipping pages with a lot of chuckles, many “awww“ moments, and yes, some hair rising times!

Ann Charles is one of my favorite authors and she has given us yet another amazing book! She managed to write another book that will make you laugh, keep you engaged, and want another one as soon as you are done. I highly recommend this or any other book she has written.

It felt so good to be back together with Violet & the gang in Deadwood. I can hardly believe this Deadwood Series book is #13! Ann Charles is a delight as a writer. She writes with such subtle humor - I love to read slowly so I catch it all. She is so good to her fans. Enjoyed a Fan Party in Deadwood this year & Ann brought an advance copy of her book for her fans to buy. Lots of goodies came our way during the 4 day long party. Ann’s characters are so well developed & their personalities remain the same throughout each book. I love Violet’s relationship with Harvey. It makes me so happy how close they are, even though they banter back & forth like they don’t like each other! Harvey is always there to protect Violet & Violet watches out for Harvey. The relationship that all the characters have with each other in the books is enviable. They are close as family & friends & that is admirable. Even though they have their differences, they work together well. We should all be so lucky to have these kind of people in our lives. I feel a closeness to the Deadwood & Lead area. I live on the East side of SD & visit the West side often. Now to wait patiently for the next book!

Things just don't slow down in Deadwood. The imp is still running riot. There are some new "visitors" to Deadwood which Violet and Doc need to deal with. The time keeping gig is still a mystery as to how and why. The "M" word has been uttered. Monster? Marriage? Murder? Tune in and see what's happening!

Every book in this series gets better and better! This one is absolutely no exception! Violet, Doc, Harvey and the gang do not disappoint in this installment, keeping Deadwood safe. I can't wait for the next one!

Ann Charles did again! Just when you thought things will settle down for Violet and the gang it really gets hopping! This is one of those books you will willingly lose sleep over to read and see what will happen to the gang in Deadwood ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Her human "bad guys" are so "real" that you'll have inevitably met someone in your day to day life that reminds you of them. You end up loathing these baddies and cannot wait til they get their due! You love to hate them.
Her "other" baddies are spooky, creepy, & mysterious-usually with a lust for mayhem and a craving for flesh and blood. These monsters are sometimes humanoid and not quite so bad but usually they are looking to kill. Unfortunately, Violet and her crew are the only ones around to stop them.

Creepy things
Another great book in this series. The romance, the friendships, family and the bad things. The imp is giving Violet a pain in the neck. Cryptic messages and warnings of things to come are frightening. But Violet is up to the task and her skills are growing more powerful for the big war that is coming soon.

Boots is back!
Violet Parker is trying her best to be a single mom to twins. Too bad "the others" have different plans for her. We're right back in it with Violet, Doc, Nat, Harvey, Coop, & the rest of the gang. Ann Charles has another fantastic adventure here. Her characters live & breathe - sometimes in colors. There are the usual creatures causing havoc around Deadwood which is good for some spooky thrills. Violet & Doc continue to be mushy couple goals with a little 🫑 (it's a half a 🌶️ but still good). Plus there are the puzzles & surprises that Ann is happily sharing with us. 💛💛 Read this book, read the whole series.... make it your spooky comfort read.

As always i couldn't put this book down and I need the next book like I need air to breathe! I love reading the books because she does capture the area near where I live so perfectly. I can't wait for the next one!

Just like all of the Deadwood Mystery Series books, this one grabs you from the first page and won't let go! Instead of Ann getting Prudence's chills, Harvey is the one who cringes! Ray is still a bumbling numbskull! And Cooper and Violet are getting along!?!?

Fun read....
I love Violet and all of the misfit characters in her life. As always Harvey's a good laugh. I love the action in the day today life of the main character. I love all the interaction between all the main characters. I can't wait to see what the story goes from here.

Hunter
We meet a new hunter in this one, but it is not what we think and has come to help the Scooby gang, lol! But seriously it has come to help and why does Prudence want everyone and everything dead? What is she hiding? Violet and Doc are engaged but no one knows yet. Coop is learning to trust Natalie and auntie and Reid are mending their fences. What's next? Can't wait to find out.💙💚Oh! And Harvey is giving us young'ins a run for our money. Way to go Harvey!!😉

I love this series. So many colorful characters surrounding Violet. Of course, she is also a very colorful character. You never know what creatures she will have to deal with. Definitely never a dull moment. Can't wait to see what comes next.

Oh my, how can this series just keep getting better and better? The adventures of Violet and her supportive, quirky, crazy crew continue to amaze me with each page that I turn. TimeReaping in Deadwood is book #13 in the Deadwood mystery series and these characters have grown on me more and more with each book. I can't wait for another visit to Deadwood to see what they are up to. And believe me, Ann always leaves the reader wanting more!
This installment didn't seem to be quite as drama filled but more character driven, which I loved. I loved the relationship development going on among all the characters. And Harvey—same ol' Harvey—if you know you know. I love Harvey!

One thing that can be said about Violet Parker’s world, it never slows down. In the 13th book of the Deadwood series, Violet is back again chasing a crazy imp, trying to figure out time and being forced to seek information from everyone’s favorite, the dead executioner, Prudence. I am a huge Prudence fan and one of my favorite quotes from this book was:
“Are you afraid of a dead Executioner?”
“Yes!” I answered without hesitation. “And I’m not ashamed to admit that. Prudence is mean. Like angry hippo savage. Even dead she’s still vicious. I can only imagine how tough she was when she was alive and kicking ass.”
There is so much more to this book, and I do not want to spoil it but lots of growth with characters, and I am loving the direction Ann Charles is taking this story. If you have not checked out this series, you are missing out and need to start it right away! Fair warning, you will not be able to put it down once you start – be prepared for late night reading! Highly recommend!

I know I've said this with every one of Ms. Charles' books but it's always true - this one is a real winner! This book has plenty of action, thrills, mystery, surprises, laughs and romance. All the essential ingredients for a smashing good read. Violet is in great form and although she spends plenty of time shaking in her boots she always rises to the occasion. I really liked the steamy scenes with Violet and her honey, Doc and would like to see more in future books. Dangerous situations, spine tingling chills, humor and surprises (including C.S. Kunkle's outstanding artwork) kept me turning pages late into the night. I want more! Highly recommended!!!

Whoever said that 13 is an unlucky number has not read Ann Charles' Deadwood Mystery Series. TimeReaping in Deadwood is book 13 in Violet's Deadwood adventures and what a wild ride she has with her cohorts. I have loved every book in this series, but this is by far my favorite one to date. Even if you have not read any of the other books in this series, you will still enjoy this book and it will hook you into wanting to read all of the books about Violet and her crazy life in Deadwood.

Violet and gang are back for another installment in Deadwood. That imp is still causing trouble and she just can’t seem to get her hands on him. Not to mention, she’s got to figure out timekeeping. This is one series that never gets old for me! Filled with mystery, action, and lots of laughs. It’ll keep you turning pages long into the night.

Ann Charles never disappoints, and this book holds true to that tradition. A non-stop thrill ride, the book features both new and familiar challenges for Violet and her supernatural battling supporters. The larger arc of the story progresses nicely, and is swept along with lots of action, humour, and even some romance.

I was so excited when the news that the next installment of Viotlet Parker was coming out! It was another great action packed story full of hilarious anecdotes and silly commentary. I can never get enough of Violet Parker and her wiley group of friends. I am already impatiently awaiting the next one! 😅

This lucky 13 book has laughs, giggles and jump scare moments that make it great. Let’s just say Harvey and honey are causing Violet some sticky messes and the imp is not helping any.
